Next GGXrd Character to be Determined by In-Game Voting
Early this morning, Arc System Works held their special Guilty Gear Xrd - Revelator - Launch Event on Nico Live.
As a special announcement, it was revealed that the next batch/round of characters to debut in Xrd will be determined by an in-game voting system, which subsequently means that this voting system will currently only be open to players in Japanese Arcades. Philosophy of Analyzing Losses by Nage
Earlier today Nage, a strong Faust player who placed 2nd at this year's Evolution 2015 and 2nd at last year's Arc Revolution Cup 2014 in GGXrd, posted a long document outlining his thought process when it comes to analyzing his losses in games in order to improve. The post has been translated and provides really insightful information to how players can productively approach losses. The scope of the post is with Guilty Gear Xrd in mind, but is general enough to be applicable to anyone to plays fighting games.

Baf0 Highlights All GGXrd Character Specific Discord Servers
Community member Baf0 has provided links to all the current character specific Discord servers. For those uninitiated, Discord is the spiritual successor to the archaic but fond-remembered IRC web platform, albeit with a more streamlined and 21st century feel. The app is available on Android and iOS and has been a recent boon within the community of SFV, and also with a General Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- & Misc. server by way of Mr. Biscuits.

GG Xrd Revelator Jack-O' and Johnny Footage
With Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- hitting arcades, plenty of footage featuring the new character Jack-O' and returning character Johnny have appeared in various parts of the internet. Famitsu posted an article featuring returning character Jam Kuradoberi who was announced at Arc Revolution Cup 2015 along with the official GGXrd -Revelator- trailer. She will be part of a patch coming late September which will also include some bug fixes and character adjustments.

it is an revival of thread from teh ancient times1! i'm still in tokyo, with mai-jobu and mai-waifu and mai-2-kizzu. i may be spotted at Shinjuku Sportsland on saturday nights, if they're doing an AC+R event and if I have no other prior commitments that evening. but i'm actually fairly flexible during the weekdays, so post here or message me if you're in the area or interested in visiting Tokyo. -

Back to your original question: +R was my first FG, starting last November. I now have 250+ hrs in it, 100 in Xrd, 50 in Strive, and some change in other games. Despite often being touted as fundamentally different, much of what I learn in one game will transfer over almost seamlessly to another. Go play Footsies if all you wanna do is build fundies or whatever. If you want to play fighting games as actual video games made for entertainment, then stop worrying about how quickly the game will improve your fundies and just play fighting games.
