We are looking for article writers!

ATTENTION WRITERS!

Dustloop.com is currently accepting applications for article writers. Nationality does not matter as Dustloop has staff all around the world, but we prefer writers who can write about and attend events that happen in NA/EU. We are looking for users who have past knowledge of the community, a good understanding of the video game titles covered here, and have a creative mindset to develop articles from various outlets. Articles subjects can range from promoting tournaments, tournament results, showcasing user created content (combo/tutorial/match videos), game previews/reviews, and covering game news from Arc System Works. This is a no-pay, volunteer mod position but a great opportunity for talented writers looking to burst into the world of video game journalism. As any other mod you'll get your forum and the increased avatar resolution to sport around. Past experience in video game journalism is a plus but not required. We currently have three positions open.

If interested please submit a resume (if available), and answer the following questionnaire by PM to Kurushii. Deadline is Monday March 18th, 2013.

1. How long have you been a part of the fighting game community?
2. What are the current fighting games you play and which ones are you considering to pick up in the future?
3. Have you attended a offline fighting game tournament?
4. Have you contributed to Dustloop.com or the fighting game community with some form of user created content?
5. Do you have any experience writing articles or other form of media?
6. Are you currently in college for some form of writing major, or graduated college?

Evo has officially opened registration at http://evo.shoryuken.com/

In addition to Persona 4: Arena being an official game at Evo this year, members of the community will be running side tournaments for BB/GG.

Unfortunately, since no schedule for the games have been posted, it is currently not possible to schedule a time for these side events, but rest assured that they are happening!

Games: BBCSE (or BBCP import if it's out by then), and GGAC+R
Hardware: Both games will be on PS3. Rapid fire and macros are banned. You can use controllers with those functions, but you can't use those functions.
Tournament Format: Double Elimination Pools
Entry Fee: undecided, likely $5 per game.


We will likely need tvs/ps3s so if you're willing to help bring setups, please post up.
If you'd like to help run pools please post up as well.

However the Evo Staff has set up a donation drive where the community that donates the most money will have their game added to the Evo lineup as an official game! All donations go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
