  1. I can't wait for CP. (Lol Cow Punch. Lol Crazy Prostitute. Lol Cream Pie) When it comes out that will more than likely be the only thing I play for a year. If I go to tournaments I'll still play other games, but my love for BB compels me to play nothing other than itself. No seriously though, I'll still play P4U, GG and maybe KoF. I haven't played KoF in almost a month actually, since online sucks I got super bored sitting in training mode.
  2. If you're getting j.BB then you're either mashing on j.B, or you aren't jumping at the right time after j.B hit. You want to jump while j.B is hitting and then hit j.B on the way up. You can't mash on either and you have to time them correctly. The goal is to do them as quickly as possible, without mashing on either input. Set the opponent to jump and practice just j.B > dj.B, and once you have it down do 2B > j.B > j.B, after that CH 5A > 2B > j.B > j.B, then finally 5AA(2C) > (2C Hits) j.B > dj.B. The reason you want to go through all of those is because the timing gets harder the longer the combo is before it. If you practice the different timing starting from the easiest up to the hardest you should be able to get it more often.
  3. Shadow Labrys' 5A is -7 on block. Yep.
  4. Hecatom, you should really put "Console version unannounced" in the title of the thread so people will quit asking.
  5. Litchi, Platinum, Makoto and Noel.
  6. Did you guys forget about this game?
  7. Oh oops, I forgot to write the item. It's the Pan.
  8. I'm not reading through the whole thread to see what's new, and I didn't see anything on the CP changes thread, so here's what I got from the new videos: 5C > 6C combos, but it might be crouching only. 6B wallbounces in the corner. 5A > 5C > Mami > 6C > Swallow Moon > j.C > 6A > Mami did 2.8K. CH 5D Bat causes a arial spinning state, rather than a large launch. Looks like you can follow it up with 6A > 6C stuff. You can have two presents out at a time, she has a total of four. 214D puts out two at a time. Her parry is active for a really long time. Her staff turns into a giant hand and starts motioning the opponent towards her. j.D (Pan) > 5C still works fine. Mami wallstick still lets you followup with the same combos. 5A > 5C > Mami > 6C > Swallow Moon > j.C > 6A > Mami was 2.8K, but they teched while Mami was hitting. It looked really unsafe.
  9. Some of her main combos are setup do to ease of use, for beginners to be looking for. Others are ones that leave her in the best position for the damage given. The ones that are not in purple are either much harder, require specific spacing or don't leave you in a position that you'd want, but deal more damage. As far as the button pressing goes, it all depends on the combo. In most combos you can just go 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 and he'll hit where he's supposed to, some people are more comfortable doing 1 > 2+3 > 4. Some people like hitting the buttons quickly, and others like hitting them slowly. So long as you time them right, you can use many different methods. For pressure it depends on the timing you want him to hit, and that's how you have to hit the buttons. If you want him to hit with 5C after 2A > 5B > 2A+B as soon as 2A+B recovers then you'll want to hit 5C along with 5B, if you want it to hit slightly after you start recovering from 2A+B then input it a little after 5B. It's situation for what method and timing you use.
  10. And so continues the wait for Hilda footage.
  11. She doesn't have any good blockstrings that are safe, but mixing together all of her normals are a pretty good way to lay on the pressure. The problem is, you can DP (Or even just mash) out of all her strings, so there isn't any one particular string you can do that's safe. With her you have to keeping things fresh, so they have to think about when they're punishing. Go 5A > 5B and next time go 5A > Jump, then go 5A > 2A+B or 5A > Guillotine Axe A, etc. Also make sure you use Asterios to keep use safe during pressure by having him strike between hits.5A > 5B(5C) > 2A+B > 5C Hits is one example, or j.B(5C) > 5A > 5B > 5C Hits and others like those. You can mix in Buffalo Hammer to hit low while you continue pressure, or setup unblockables during a string. Just be cautious about it, because she's still not safe. For oki there are many, many setups that can be done. Do the laser (236C/D) and start mixing them up with crossups, rolls, IAD's, 2A, 2A+B, Guillotine Axe, safe jumps or fake crossups. You can do almost anything you want during this, but picking up a combo off your mix up can be difficult some times. For the most part you are safe during laser oki, but you can still be DP'd during it if it hits in a weird spot when they tech, or they're airborne and fall into it, slide through it, or get pushed out of the laser, etc. You can use 5C to try and push them to the corner. 5C Allows for one or two mixups total, and can't really be hit-confirmed mid-screen if you aren't sandwiching the opponent between Asterios and yourself. 5C is used mainly for corner oki, but is really strong for crossups and overhead meaties, as well as making yourself safe during pressure. Mid-screen 5C > IAD is a great way to mixup the opponent on wakeup, most people can't catch you out of the airdash, and they have to block 5C or get hit for a combo. If it's blocked you can start a mixup. You can use 2C as an anti-air setup for people who like to jump out of pressure on wakeup, do 2C and distance yourself with 5B, 2B and 2A+B. Since it doesn't hit crouchers, and often only hits standing opponents 2-3 times, you can't apply pressure very safely during this, but you can use is to keep people on the ground, and try for a mixup using Shadow Labrys alone. You can use Massive Slaughter as a ground covering option. Since it's a command grab it has to either be jumped, or you need to hit Asterios or Shadow Labrys to make it stop. You can roll through it because throws catch them, and you can't block it because it's a command throw. This is a strong part of her oki game since most people will always try to jump or DP through this. For people that like to jump a lot you can go for the 2B trap, where you delay a 2B after Massive Slaughter. If they don't jump Massive Slaughter grabs them and you can combo afterwards, if they jump 2B will catch them on the way up as a unblockable and you can lead back to the same trap, or a different one. Mid-screen you can go for crossups during Massive Slaughter, but you can't go for pressure. Since you can't be grabbed during hitstun, Massive Slaughter will whiff during pressure, unless you have a large gap for it to hit during. There is a whole lot of things she can do as oki, and she is mostly based around it. Watch JP videos on from the video threads here on Dustloop and take notes. Watch their setups, and watch how they handle different situations.
  12. Who could have seen this coming? Huehuehue
  13. I just listened to that song, and it's okay, but Life & Death is still better. :D From the ages of 5-10 I wanted to play drums, but never actually learned how to play past a few simple beats. I still like them, but they don't have the beauty that I like in music. I wouldn't mind learning the bongos though, I've always liked them for some reason. And the other day I was really craving a good set of BB, but then I was invited to play P4U and completely forgot to go play. I think I might take a whole day off tomorrow (Today, technically) from P4U and just play BB.
  14. I doubt it, I'm kind of lazy, so I probably won't gain any skills. Ha ha. But I certainly hope I do! I'm excited to play you as well, especially in GG. I'm really hyped about getting into competitive GG play, and even more so learning I-No and Venom (Or Anji, I don't know who I like more between those two.) at a higher level. (I decided May just wasn't for me) Have fun in Florida! Indeed they are, and the first song I'm going to learn on both is the most beautiful song in the world, and the theme to my favorite show: I want to learn every version of it, because there's a bunch that play on the show which are done with different notes, timing and instruments that sound different. They normally change it to fit a certain character or moment in a episode, so there's quite a few. But I'd really love to know them all some day.
  15. I've been playing fighting games since I was like 3 or 4. My dad used to play Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat when I was little and he'd give me a controller and I'd play with him. I liked it and we'd do it all the time. I just kept playing them all while I was growing up. Soul Calibur was my favorite fighting game up until CT came out, and that was the first game I ever took seriously. I understood what combos and oki were while playing Soul Calibur 3 when I was about 9 or 10, I didn't know what the correct term for oki was because I didn't know it was a thing though. But I understood what combos were, and what qualified as a real combo and what could be escaped. When BB came out, it was my first airdasher so I wasn't used to a game like it, and it was my first time ever playing against people other than my offline friends. I got whooped a lot at first since I knew nothing and had never fought any good players before. After about two weeks I met a guy who added me because I did Noel's back throw into her air super which he had never seen before, and he thought it was cool. I told him I was interested in getting good so he referred me to some guys he knew that were good at fighters, and they taught me all the basics. From there I just kept playing, joined DL, started watching videos and came up with my own stuff. So, I guess I started to really get them when I was about 11 or 12. Am I musically talented? No, not at all. I'm not a very artistic person, I don't have many skills other than video games. I can't draw, play an instrument or write a story, etc. But my dad is, he's released a few albums with a band he used to be in and is now working on two different solo projects. I want to learn piano and violin though.
  16. Well, I can't make that one since my parents will be in NC, but they said I should be able to go to MTNG.
  17. 9.9K Mitsuru Combo
  18. My parents have to go to NC on the third week of every month to work, so they can't take me to tournaments. I have to go with them this time as well, but I should be able to make this one. :D
  19. GGs g-ram. I honestly have no idea how her IK works, I know that if you step in front of one of the scopes it's unblockable and is what activates the IK. But there is a certain spot on the screen where you can go that you won't be hit, someone made a video of it, so check on YouTube. The one I used was 2A > 5AA > 2A+B > EX Double Fangs > Muudo > Jump > 214D > 5B > A Double Fangs~D > D Trap hits > 5C > B Double Fangs x11 > A Double Fangs~D for 7.4K.
  20. Star, are you going to send me that combo notation for me to try?
  21. It's incredibly easy to punish. Another thing to note is that only the B version moves fullscreen, and it has to be charged before it will activate. You have to wait until the initial charge is finished before you can choose to release it or charge it more. So you have forever and a day to do whatever you want. The A version doesn't go anywhere either. You actually have time to run up to her and push her as far into the corner as you can if you aren't fullscreen. You can block it standing, crouching or jumping as well. It is never unblockable and it can always be punished on block because it can't be OMC or OMB'd.
  22. Um, block it. Only regular Labrys' Brutal Impact is unblockable when fully charged. You can DP her after she swings, you can roll behind her, you can jump over her, you can block and punish, you can do anything you want. It's fully invincible while she's charging it, but if she does it at all outside of a combo she's just asking you to punish her for your highest damage combo.
  23. ^ This. And yes.
  24. Guys, make sure the next tournament isn't on the 3rd week of a month. That way my parents won't be out of town working and I can come. EDIT: Also, check it: I can't figure out how to break 10K. =<
