  1. Titanomachia can be used for some good damage, but it's best used as a way to gain back momentum after a knockdown. They have to respect you even more than usual out of fear of being hit by the fullscreen fire. Mixing up how many attacks you do during it also makes it harder on them to guess when they can try and punish Asterios. On top of this, you can move freely during this for about 15-20 seconds without having to work with Asterios, since he's doing it manually. I'm currently writing up some BnB's for the combo thread, and later I'm going to see what kind of damage we can get from a Fatal.

  4. 5B, 2B and 8C are really good for keeping Kanji at bay. 2B has full head invincibility and keeps him from being able to approach from the air, so he has to deal with Asterios and 5B. 8C is good when he's trying to use lightning and 5B out pokes a lot of his normals.
  5. I vote PS3 also, almost the entire community currently has it for PS3. It's a familiar system and at the moment you'd probably have more people to play than on Xbox. Luckily for the Xbox owners, the netplay patch was supposed to release today, so hopefully more people will pick it up for that system.
  6. Well, actually I just found one, but it does horrible damage because of j.A. Your goal in combos is to try and not use her A attacks to get damage. It's difficult, but with proper timing you can squeeze in j.B's instead of j.A's in some combos so you get extra damage and the same oki options.
  7. I've been working on some combo paths, trying to find a way to get a third relaunch. I'm not seeing it happening without Titanomachia. I do think I found a way to have Asterios turn around mid-combo in the corner so you can get a Flames of Hades relaunch and better oki. It's difficult, but basically you do j.BB > dj.Air Turn > B Air Guillotine Axe. Air Guillotine Axe should only do one hit, and Asterios will be facing away from the corner, but it often doesn't work and he faces back towards the corner.

  10. AoA= All out Attack which is a universal attack you can preform by hitting A+B. If you land this on a standing/crouching opponent you can follow it up by mashing. Hit C at the end and it will knock them high in the air, and in the corner hitting D will cause them to wallbounce. Mashing up to 15 hits will cause a fatal counter.

  12. The problem with Asterios is that he can still be hit during the startup of his attacks, and there's nothing you can do to stop that. He has armor, but it can be easily broken and he'll take the damage. Otherwise, you are correct, eventually people will figure out how to keep him safe with Shadow Labyrs, so the opponent is forced to go on the defensive out of fear of being hit from one of the two characters attacking. 8C I think will be important in moving with Asterios and setting up pressure, oki and keeping him safe. From what I understand, he can't be hit while underground, so the only options they have is to hit Shadow Labrys or block the mixup. Also, holy crap it's UltraDavid.

  16. I'm going to run BB style with A= Square, B= Triangle, C= Circle and D= X, then play it crab claw style so I can hit all the macros and still be able to block with Asterios easily.
  17. Hilda, Gordaeu and Orie are the only characters who really interest me. All of the other characters look super amazing as well, but they don't really fit me. Vatista is pretty cool though, so I'll probably try her too. Honestly, the only character I don't like is Hyde.
  18. If it didn't require so much to set it up, then it would be used a ton. The damage you get from it is the highest in the game. The problem is that you'll be using meter in other ways, so you never can use it. A good player will combo into it and go for a 7K combo kill. It's really, really good. It just requires to much to make it work. Personally, I feel that people need to explore bumpers more. I mean seriously, you can't pass up on that kind of mixup and oki, as well as his combo potential with it. Bang players are just super lazy.
  19. Thanks, this'll come in handy when we start doing more thorough testing. I'm not going to add it to the guide or wiki, since we don't know if it's all correct, but it's a good start. I'm going to be updating the video thread Wednesday when I'm back in TN guys, I had to go with my parents to WV and I didn't have access to a computer fast enough to do it. We've only got a few hours left until we've got Persona in our hands, so get hype!
  20. Star, dude, you've got to quit overreacting. Most of these things are mistranslations and players only getting to play for one match then waiting two hours for the next. It's also a location test and a lot of it will more than likely change. Calm yourself!

  22. Ah yes, that's great to know. I'm tired of the CS palettes. It's been updated though, so it's not actually the old ones. This one has the moon in a different spot, and the pumpkins in the background have top hats.
  23. Ah, then I'll try to make it out. I've gotta' talk to my parents and let them know the details, but it's been like two months since I've gone to a tournament, so I'm sure they'll take me. Unless they're in NC again, which they might be. In which case I won't be able to make it.
  24. According to LK she still has those. But the movelist does show that they are gone, so we'll have to wait for confirmation. With Daisharin being her Overdrive, I'm wondering if it still works the same in that it starts up and you do all the inputs, then it does it by itself. Or if you can keep hitting a direction and D until the timer runs out. I really hope it's the latter, because that would be amazing.
