  1. 2C.) Corner Normal Starters: 5A 5AA(2C) > (2C hits) j.BB > j.B > j.214A (1713 DMG/21 SP Gained) - Sets up one-hit 214A. 5AAA(2C) > (2C hits) j.BB > j.B > j.214A (1723 DMG/35 SP Gained) - Cannot easily set up one-hit 214A like the above combo can, but gains much more meter. 2A 2A > 5B(5C) > 2A+B > (5C hits) neutral jump, falling j.BB > j.214B (2052 DMG/28 SP Gained) - Sets up one-hit 214A. 2A > 5B(5C) > 2A+B > (5C hits) 2B j.BB > j.A j.214A (2162 DMG/30 SP Gained) Slightly more damage/meter, but opponent can tech a touch earlier and so one-hit 214A fails. 5B - 2B - 5C - 2C - 8C - Skill/Boost Skill Starters: 214A (5C) 214A (1-hit) > (5C hits) neutral jump, falling j.BB > j.214B (2717 DMG/26 SP Gained) - Sets up one-hit 214A. 3. 2A.) Mid-screen Normal Starters: Collapsed: 5A: NOTE: 5A > 5B/2A+B works on crouching characters without the need for a Counter Hit, however, 5A > 2B does not. Solo: 5AAAA (1154 DMG/23 SP Gained) Collapsed: Alternative Version(s): CH 5A > 5B > 2A+B (988 DMG/10 SP Gained) CH 5A > 2B > j.B > dj.B > j.214B (1450 DMG/15 SP Gained) Collapsed: Alternative Version(s): CH 5A > 2B > j.A > j.B > dj.A > j.214B (1336 DMG/15 SP Gained) This version is much easier, but deals less damage. AA 5A > j.A > j.B > dj.B > j.214B (1191 DMG/13 SP Gained) The only real reason to do this over an auto-combo would be for different oki setups. Collapsed: Alternative Version(s): AA 5A > j.A > j.B > dj.A > j.214B (1047 DMG/12 SP Gained) This version is much easier, but deals less damage. Delay the second j.A to assure the last hit of j.214A connects. Collapsed: Alternate Version(s): CH 5A > 214A+B > Dash > 5A > j.A > j.B > j.214A > 214214A (2075 DMG/3 SP Gained/75 SP Spent) Using One More Bursts: N/A Using Both: N/A With Persona: YPO: 5AAA~5C~A > 5C Hits (1572 DMG/31 SP Gained) Collapsed: Alternate Version(s): YOP: 5AAA~C~A > (5C Hits) 2A+B (1705 DMG/35 SP Gained) Unlikely you'll ever need to use this in a match, but if your Persona is REALLY far away, you could use this to gain some extra damage/meter. YPO: 5AA > 2C > 5B > (2C Hits) j.B > dj.A > j.214A (1744 DMG/20 SP Gained) Collapsed: Alternate Version(s): YPO: 5AA > 2C > 2A+B > (2C Hits) Dash Under Opponent > j.B > dj.A > j.214A (1744 DMG/20 SP Gained) Use this version of the combo when you are further away from the opponent when 5AA hits, as using 5B from this distance will cause the 2C to whiff. You must dash under the opponent to keep Asterius from teleporting, ruining oki setups. YPO: 5AAA > 2C > (2C Hits) j.B > dj.A > j.214A (1500 DMG/30 SP Gained) If you're late on your 2C, dash under the opponent to before the air combo to keep Asterius from teleporting. YOP: (5C) 5AA > (5C Hits) > 2B > j.B > dj.A > j.214A (1710 DMG/22 SP Gained) YPO: CH 5A > 5B (5C) > 2A+B > 5C Hits (1710 DMG/17 SP Gained) Not a very damaging combo, but it's really easy to hit-confirm into, and it works in positions where a 2C will whiff after the sweep. Collapsed: Alternative Version(s): YOP: CH 5A > 5B (5C) > 2A+B > (5C Hits) 2B > j.B > dj.A > j.214A (2039 DMG/27 SP Gained) Really easy to confirm and leads into great oki. YPO: CH 5A > 5B (2C) > 2A+B > (2C Hits) j.A > j.B > dj.A > j.214A (2031 DMG/23 SP Gained) The go-to combo off a 5A > 5B string hit-confirm, sets up fantastic oki. If you are in a YOP position, and you want to go for YPO oki, you can dash under during 2C and go into the air combo, though you must omit the first j.A. Collapsed: Alternate Version(s): YPO: CH 5A > 5B (2C) > 2A+B > (2C Hits) Dash Under Opponent > j.B > dj.A > j.214A (2C) > (2C Hits) j.214B (2502 DMG/34 SP Gained) Not a very practical combo for oki setups, as Asterius will still be recovering during the opponents tech, but it does a bit more damage, and builds a lot more meter. YPO: CH 5A > 2B > j.B > dj.B > j.214B (2C) > (2C Hits) > j.B > dj.A > j.214A (2203 DMG/28 SP Gained) Harder to hit-confirm than the 5B route, but leads to solid damage and oki. Collapsed: Alternative Version(s): YPO: CH 5A > 2B > j.B > dj.A > j.214B (2C) > (2C Hits) j.B > j.A > j.214A (2065 DMG/27 SP Gained) Easier to do than the first combo, but sacrifices damage. Throughout the video you see the players purposely placing their Persona's next to each other to absorb the hits from the other one. You will notice that the players are using their own Persona to attack the other one, rather than the character, leading to quick Persona Breaks. 7. Wiki - Frame Data
  8. Alright, AS is too far away for me to go. My parents are going to be gone for two weeks, so my brother-in-law would have to take me. It's almost an hours drive and I don't have the extra 25 bucks to get in since I just got KoF. But if that thing on Monday is free and is a bit closer to me, I can probably make that.
  9. Wait, what is this event? I'm going to need all the details. So here are my questions: 1. What is AnimeSoutheast? 2. What would there be at AS that would interest me? 3. Where is the location of AS? 4. Does it require money? 5. Where is this awesome day of vidya graemz happening? 6. What day is this all going down?
  10. I've decided on Mai, Elizabeth, Mature, Duo Lon, Kensou and Leona. They're the only characters who click with me. I'll probably be running a team of Mai/Elizabeth/Mature, but if you guys can think of a better setup using any of the characters above, I'd gladly try it out. (NOTE: Mai's gotta' be on the team. :p)
  11. Star, feel free to send me anything you like. I tried out Maxima just for you guys. He's flashy, but I still don't like him.
  12. Whoa, Leona is awesome too. :D I'm really starting to get a feel for this, the movement is awkward, but not too strange.
  13. I always go through the movelist of a character and test the properties of every attack in every situation. (Counter hit, vs. air, vs. ground, etc.) After that I start practicing combos, which helps me to get the feel down for the character. By doing combos I start to feel the rhythm behind the character. Then I work on approach and mixups. But I don't just capitalize on one thing at a time, I like to work them all in together. But yeah, I got down all the Elizabeth BnB's I could find on YouTube and from match videos. So I just started learning some dumb combos like 5HP > 6LK > 623HP > 236HP > 623LP > 214LK~236HP > 623LP > 214LK~236HP > 623LP > j.HK > 2363214P. I can't believe it's so easy to do.
  14. Well, I'm really feeling Elizabeth. Her normals are solid and hit confirming with her isn't too hard. Her combos are basic and don't require a large amount of meter. I'm trying to get down her links now. The easiest thing I've found so far is Normals > 6LK > 623HP > Hop j.HK > 2363214P I'm trying to figure out her links, but I can't figure out what connect into what. Her HP and HK normals are so slow. @_@
  15. I've been working on links for like an hour. I hate links, so, so much. Even something as simple as Mai's 2LP > 2HP is really difficult for me. @_<
  16. Jesus, Mai is awesome. I've already figured out some really basic BnB's in training mode. (Yes, yes, I know, practicing combos should be the first thing I do. :P) I also really like Mature and Elizabeth, but Robert and Duo Lon are fun too. So I'm going to try and find one other character I like and try to learn all 6 of them.
  17. Because we're the most amazing guys of all time, obviously. XD I just bought KoF, so Milln, time to get to writing. :P
  18. Oh yes, I forgot about Elizabeth. She seemed very well rounded, and I enjoyed watching her. But she seemed kind of wonky to me, but then again, everyone does since I've never played it on console. @Astaroth: Tell me where I can find the details and I'll look into it.
  19. I was watching some videos just now, Robert looks interesting to me, as well as Duo Lon. So I'm going to give them both a try.
  20. No one is manlier than Chuck E. Cheese. :P
  21. Ew God no, I hate Maxima. =/ I'm glad to hear Mai is good at Oki, since that's a big thing I look for with my characters. What I always need in a character is a mid-ranged based game, very Oki oriented and long combos. I don't need damage and I don't need a lot of mixup. Just good solid normals and setups. Combos are a massive plus for me, because I'm a combo guy, but they aren't needed. Mai and Mature are definitely characters I want to use, but Mai might be replaceable if I like other characters more. As a reference to what I'm looking for though, I use Litchi, Platinum (BB), I-No, May/Venom (GG), Ivy, Tira (SC), Painwheel, Parasoul, Double (SG), Rose, Viper (SF), Anna, Julia (TK), Caster, Luviagelita (F/UC), Sindel, Kitana (MK). If you can tell me what characters that are kind of like all of them, I'd appreciate it. And it's awesome that you use Mature, not enough people use that awesome woman.
  22. You know, I really don't have a clue as to who I would use in KoF. Mai and Mature are my favorite characters, but I've never played them outside of the iPhone version, which sucks. I'd probably end up running something like Mai/???/Mature. :P
  23. I was rooting for Mad KoF, I respect him for Chin. I want to go to EVO next year, but I have to become good at a real game first. (Lol BB isn't a real game anymore)
  24. I see no way this could ever be a tournament worthy game with all the stage elements, breakable stages and stage hazards. Unless there is a way to turn it all off, I just can't see it being more than a casual game. Aside from that though, I do like the way it all works. You can tell they spent a lot of time designing the characters and stages in this, and really going out of their way to make it feel over the top. So long as my favorite characters show up, I'll get it for combo videos.
  25. P-Dive > IAD > j.HS > P-Dive > j.HS > IAD > P-Dive > P-Dive > K-Dive Have fun. :P
