  1. LOL this thread! If for some reason I can't see this, are you going to upload this to YouTube?
  2. I'm available for tomorrow as well. I'll make sure to set my alarm for it since it's an off day for me.
  3. Best venue; a ton of people enjoy the place and I'm sure you will too. Also, if you show up this Friday, could you bring my copy of GG:AC+ with you?
  4. *Sounds interesting, hope you don't mind my two cents* Waiters/waitresses work in customer service an the pay for those jobs are typically ass, as Kirbster says, they get most of their money from tips. Now, I always leave a tip unless the waiter/waitress has been in inconsiderate ass-clown. Or if the waitress I have denies my advances to her she doesn't get a tip either. It's either the "tip" from the "D" or nothing at all. I joke, I still tip her even if she denies my advances.
  5. Welcome back man, glad to hear good news on your return bro. I've updated the 1st post with a ton of information in it since you've been busy with other things, if you read upon it, you'll be all caught up with what's going on.
  6. GG's Omni, N-Matthias and ehrik! Sorry I dropped out so early, I was e-mailed work and I didn't want to take space in the room. Chie so fun!
  7. Video Thread Updated!
  8. Thanks for the additions to the wiki. I've added defensive tips into the wiki, they're basic but its straightforward. If you feel it needs a deeper explanation or something is missing, feel free to make changes.
  9. LOL So, who's going to GamePazzo tonight?
  10. My bad guys, I got home around 6:15PM CST, which I guess was too late. I thought we were doing this a little later than that like last time but I guessed wrong. I'll be sure to remember the time for the next one.
  11. GGs to everyone that joined my room. It was fun but I gotta stop.
  12. It's in May, you have plenty of time and I'm housing you guys so no hotel fee.
  13. Well, it was an idea for something different, obviously wings won't make someone better, that's just dumb. I wanted to come up with something different and thought it was a good idea. I'll just scratch it off the list since people are against it. What are your thoughts on the other suggestions? I used my phone for forums? Wut?
  14. I hear where you're coming from, but this is not a means to keep them from going for top 3. Its a way to get people who usually aren't involved in getting better to strive for it. The whole thing is to get better and take the top guys out. Maybe I worded it wrong but the wings are more of a reward for doing better over the course of the month. This is to go to the new guy who does the best that month, not 4th place winner. For example: If Marisa shows up one week and ranks last and Agito happens to get 4th place that week Agito gets wings because he hasn't gotten 4th place before (signs of improvement) but, the following week, Agito still gets 4th place and Marisa get's 5th this week, Agito has done well in the tournament but Marisa's growth exceeds Agito's si Marisa gets wings that week. I'm not doing this as a pity award, the wings goes to the most improved player of that month. Thats what I meant, sorry for not clarifying that, my bad. I used my phone for forums? Wut?
  15. Welcome to the forums 4V, hope to see you being as active as possible and growing with us as much as you can. Talking to Kobayashi, he brought up some good points, we know that a lot of people don't want to come out for some reason but we want you to. We figured we need an incentive for those who opt out of coming so you guys can stop missing out on the fun and show up. What was discussed and what I would like to implement are the following: Monthly Trophy: This will be rewarded to the one who wins the Chicago Monthly at each month, It will be posted next to your name in the player's log to show everyone who's the top guy for that month. It's small but I think it would be a fun thing to implement. Highest Ranking New Guy: No one likes losing money or entering a tournament if they feel like they can't win so to kill that noise, we're going to start doing this. For every person that hasn't placed top 3 in the monthlies before, the highest ranking person of that group will receive a free six-piece order of wings from the venue! I know, it's not money but if you want that, you gotta get that top spot. I beleive this will motivate everyone else that hasn't placed top 3 to grind out their skills and work for top 3 the next time. It's friendly competition between those who hasn't quite gotten to that stage yet and hopefully this will motivate you guys to get up there. We have the strongest US Yukiko, a powerful Elizabeth, a knowledgeable and strong Akihiko/Yosuke and the Narukami Moderator in the scene, there are resources here to get to that level and hopefully this competitive prize will boost people's morale and get them to wanna surpass them and take the top spot. Level Up Station Training: Domingo had this going at one of the events and for some reason, we didn't do this. We usually do our own thing but this will be interesting to do once in awhile, probably the week before the monthly or the second week of each month so everyone has a good idea of where they are and who is on their level of play. This also gives people a chance to gain lot of insight on their play-style from players on their level so everyone learns to grow together. This is by no means a way to separate players by any means, this is a session to help everyone work on their game and increase their level with those near their level or slightly better than them, it builds everyone's skills. I personally believe we should implement this once a month. These are three good ideas I've come across and I would like you guy's opinions on them. This obviously doesn't apply to P4U only, but for all the games we play. I know I would like to still level up in BB and GG so doing this for those games as well would help out a ton. What are you guys thoughts toward these ideas?
  16. UFGT9 update: BlazBlue: EX and GG:AC+ tournaments are being ran by none other that... So if your game isn't in the main roster, it will be there as a side game! Show up and play your game and support your guys who are playing in the main games!
  17. LunaKage is trying to come down for UFGT9 as well (especially since BB is going to be there), hopefully things work out and he can be down here with axis and the rest of the MI crew.
  18. The Monthly happen at the GamePazzo venue, click on the link (The name of the venue) and all the info necessary is on their homepage. It's confirmed: Keits has put me in charge of running BlazBlue: EX and GG:AC+ at UFGT9 this year. I will be running brackets, watching the pot money for it and calling all the shots for those games. If that's what you're coming down for, make sure you have a spectators badge (should be around $15 or $20) so you're able to enter. EDIT: Front Page Updated. Thanks for that point out Arc!
  19. It's still pretty early, so I'm sure there's no word for it yet, even the consoles for each game haven't been announced yet. I'll be sure to keep my eyes open and my ears cleaned for any further information. LOL! I suggest you show up to defend your title as "Best Midwest Yosuke." Someone else is showing up and plans to prove it at UFGT9.
  20. Anybody playing right now? I'm bored of wrestling and full of food.
  21. This is my first time seeing you post here, welcome to the thread. We play BlazBlue and Guilty Gear at our other gatherings, if they can't do casuals for those games this Thursday, you can show up to GamePazzo on Friday. I always have a copy of BB on standby and GG is downloaded on my console so show up and play! I also show up to Ignite on most Mondays (Not today, I'm sick), and we play BB there as well. It would be cool to meet you and for you to get involved in the scene.
  22. All right guys, with the most recent update to the UFGT9 Roster, there will be a Side Tournament for both BlazBlue: EX and Guilty Gear: AC+. So to all you BB and GG heads, COME ON OUT and SHOW UP!
  23. Hey EXPGaming: I saw your post on SRK and glad you decided to post on Dustloop. I find it interesting that you're hosting tournaments for various games and even though we focus more on BlazBlue/Guilty Gear/Persona, we play other games as well. I heard about your venue from other gamers from around the city and with you guys hosting a Persona Tournament this week, I'd like to show up and take a look at the place for myself. I have classes Thursday but you say the tournament starts at 10PM right? If so, I can make it.
  24. Three character spaces sounds pretty far, TBH, if you get them off of sweep with your knockdown and press 5D, you should be able to keep them in place on their wake up (It becomes iffy if you hit them with max range sweep). Be aware, there are things you have to look out for as well as of them not teching or characters DP'ing your oki, those are scenarios you have to watch for when you apply oki pressure but you can punish them. It's more than just keeping the opponent still, you gotta open them up in the process.
