  1. Have you ever heard of the "Elite Four"? Skye... Give yourself some credit. If niggas thought you were free, no one would even mention a top 4, they would say a top 3. it's absolutely necessary that it's mentioned as a TOP 4 because all 4 of you are pretty much the big dogs in Michigan when it comes to BlazBlue. You up there, so accept that shit and whoop ass like you always do. I agree with this too. Any combination of Skye/Luna/Axis/Leo running on a team together in Michigan, would be Petshop tier. I would only allow this if we were outside of Michigan and we were taking part of a team tournament. LMAO!
  2. Congrats! It's always good to get 1st place, sadly I have never experienced that for BlazBlue yet, always 2nd or 3rd (Dat Jin Curse!) I'm surprised DinDragmire didn't show up. I heard he was going to that convention you were at, and he's a GDLK Hakumen Player in Wisconsin. But then again, it does make sense since he doesn't have extend and wouldn't know CSE Hakumen stuff, lol.
  3. OK guys, it appears a lot of people are really want to run this for 5 hours and IMO, I love it. It's just that paying $19 for our first meet up is kinda lulzy. I will do you guys a favor: For those of you that will show up and stay for 5 hours for the first meet up, I'll set up a deal where you guys can pay $15 for the 5 hour fee, and I'll cover the other 4 myself. I just want this first meet up to be successful and not too harsh on the pockets. I'll discuss this with the Ignite hosts tomorrow night and get this going for you guys, hopefully this makes things a bit more interesting for you guys and get a few more to show up.
  4. At this point and time, this appears to be the venue we intend to use on the 25th: Ignite Network 3171 N. Clybourn Ave. Chicago, IL 60618. Planing to start around 4-5PM that day even though it's time is not set in stone, this is my goal. Also, the only other player in Indiana that I know plays BlazBlue is Moy_X7 and he's the Jin mod, you guys have got quite the strong player in your state, you should hit him up. I have no idea exactly where he is in Indiana, but if you guys are close enough to each other, you could get some offline matches in or you both could travel together and get involved in the scene developing here. Glad the scene in Chicago is getting interest outside of the state, this just makes things much more interesting! YO!!! Looks who's back! It's been awhile since you've posted Jam, LOL! Glad to see you're back again. To the rest of the scene: I'll be heading up to Ignite Network Lounge on Monday night to get a look at how they run things for the other gamers (SF/UMvC3 scene) that play on Mondays so I can get a good idea on how they treat their gamers there. I don't want us going in there and we're treated like crap, us air-dasher players have had to deal with that long enough and I'm not that kind of guy that will allow us to be treated poorly. I still need numbers of those who can actually make it. It's cool and all that people are interested but it's literally 6 days before the planned meet so far, this is my list: ShinSyn Lucien darkarchonisme (Good Chance) Enigmos (Good Chance) Arcknight (Maybe) CrazyI-nomitsu (Good Chance) It appears I have 2 for yes, 3 for Good Chance and 1 for Maybe, this gives us the minimum to hold this if you guys show up. If I can't get you guys to change it to Yes, I will still attempt to hold this but I won't set up another event until most of us can agree on a date so that we're not wasting Ignites time on us. They seem legit when I talked to them and seemed pretty happy that we were going to play BlazBlue and possibly host tournaments in the near future there so it would be disappointing if we couldn't follow though on our end of the bargain to get them that exposure for the Air-Dasher community. OK for those of you who don't post in the PSN Matchmaker/GG's thread, Myself and a few others have been posting up some Mid-High level BBCS:EX gameplay as of late to push BlazBlue Continuum Shift: Extend, I'll post up a few links here for you guys to watch: BBCS:EX PSN Casuals Featuring - ShinSyn [JI], Kid Viper [HZ] and Kensou [bA] BBCS:EX PSN Casuals - Lord Knight [LI] vs ShinSyn [JI] BBCS:EX PSN Casuals - OmniSScythe's Run Feat. ShinSyn and Demonwindbomb BBCS:EX PSN Casuals - Kid Viper Run Feat. Demonwindbomb, SwordOfToan and ShinSyn SHADOWREDzero ( Jin ) vs. zeth07 ( Bang ) OmniSScythe ( Makoto ) vs. zeth07 ( Bang ) zeth07 ( Bang ) vs. xMahouShoujo aka SKD ( Ragna ) Take your pick and hope you guys enjoy them!
  5. I updated your status, Thanks bro.
  6. I accept the challenge, I'll pop down in Michigan to play you all sometime in the near future, that is once I get paid next Month.
  7. Thanks Moy, I appreciate the translation. Also, I think he's talking to me in Spanish because he heard I played KOF and think I'm Hispanic. I'm 1/4th Cuban but I can't remember/speak much Spanish for shit. We're supposed to try out connection in KOF XIII (LOL) but he never sent the FR so yeah...
  8. Pretty much what Minoru said. I have yet to fight a competent Carl yet but zoning and correctly spacing J.c has been working wonders. Ice blades are OK from a distance but you've gotta be aware of Carl's aerial approach as you're doing it, nothing makes you feel worse than being stuck in the animation of throwing an ice blade but seeing that you should have DP'd him out of the air. I'll wait until I meet up with CrazyApe next Saturday and see what I can get from fighting him in a few offline sets at casuals. I'll be able to give a through analysis on the match up if he shows up that is.
  9. LiEUTENANT concurs with your post. Also, to anyone who can understand Spanish, what does this mean? NO TE ACAPARES LAS HOS, CARAJO I got this in a message from KyouskeKagamin and have no clue WTF it means?
  10. Those people that use that as an OS are bitches. You picked that character knowing damn well what they were capable of so when you lose with that character, it's your fault. Using "Low Tier" as a crutch is not a valid excuse in my book. If that's the case, those guys should go by Stanford Kelly's rules: "Pick a Top Tier" Then still get bodied.
  11. I find Jin fun. I actually have to think when I play this character and that's what keeps me on my toes. Unlike CT and CSII Jin, which was brain dead to no end (Let's not kid ourselves here...), you actually have to know what you're doing and put yourself in a position to get things to work. His normals are still good, though they aren't as good as they used to be, so it's not that hard to gain positioning for my combos to work. It more along the lines that Jin has to works on the mental game for me and in the end, that's helping me make smarter decisions in the matches I'm in. The fact that I have to work to win this time around actually makes me care when I play this game, when I would win with Jin I would just say "Meh, it's Jin..." but now that's not the issue. I'm having fun playing my character and learning ways to exploit players on their weaknesses. Though the other characters in the cast may have stronger options/tools, it's still a player behind the controller, just work off of their mistakes. Jin still has all his moves which is what made him a "Jack of All Trades". He has a move/option where he can solve whatever issue is placed in whatever match-up he's in, though the moves may have gotten nerfed, they are still effective, it just takes a bit of tweaking to get things going. Oh and what's funny is that I rarely use double sekkajin combos, I can do them but I don't unless I feel like it. Even with all the above I've stated, I will admit; I do hate fighting Ragna. Every time I get hit, I lose 4K+ but I'm aware of that and I have to play it safely and smartly, and that's been helping me against the stronger Ragna players like GGJ. I do get my wins against him and one of these days, I'll have more wins over him than he does over me but that's gonna take a little more time. Nineball on the other hand is gonna scare the shit outta me since he was already getting 4K off of everything in every installment and now that you can derp 4K?! Things are gonna get worse fighting that guy now... Maybe it's just me, but I have always thrived playing "Low Tier" in other games and made it work so I guess that's how it is for me with CS:EX Jin. This of course is my opinion and how I feel about Jin after playing him in Extend. Maybe you guys don't fell the same but this is where I stand on the subject of Jin in EX.
  12. LOL bro, gotta have them right? Well, now that most of the people here have played CS:EX Jin, what are you honest feelings toward him in this version?
  13. Pretty much this. The meet-up for Chicago Casuals aren't happening until next week so I'm just going to netplay and record. I will do homework tomorrow.
  14. Chaos said the same thing about him. Due to that, I'm gonna drop Carmine as a sub. But I'm sure you guys may have guessed, I'm gonna main Hyde and co-main Yuzuriha EDIT: If only I had the money to get out there, I would be the No. 1 contender for that Runback Championship and you guys know it!
  15. Good things do happen to me every once in awhile, my life isn't all bad, LOL!
  16. Am I an outcast since I subbed Ky and main Sol in GG, but I Main Jin in BB? @ Solex: DO NOT FALL FOR CAPCOM'S LIES AND SLANDERS! Everyone get's mind-gamed into buying their games and get's mad salty after they realize it's just as bad as you thought it was going to be. Also, cool story: Go to a club, get drunk, and hit on a chick. Shoutouts session begins during the last 10 minutes of the club closing down. Chick yells "Shoutouts to the Navy Guy I'm going home with" (that would be me, lol). I get on stage, drunk. I put out my shoutouts and end it with "Shoutouts to Shoutouts". Everyone laughs and says "That is how we will end this session for now on". Wake up in this girls house who was average looking at the club but turns out to be freaking hot! I have no complaints.
  17. A couple of BB matches from Kurushii's Stream last night: BBCS:EX PSN Casuals - OmniSScythe's Run Feat. ShinSyn and Demonwindbomb BBCS:EX PSN Casuals - SwordOfToan Run Feat. Jyosua, Kid Viper and joeboy185 BBCS:EX PSN Casuals - Kid Viper Run Feat. Demonwindbomb, SwordOfToan and ShinSyn BBCS:EX PSN Casuals - ShinSyn Run Feat. joeboy185, SwordOfToan and Kid Viper
  18. Nah, I got it too lol.
  19. It's always fun to join up in your stream bro, the room fills up pretty fast and it has competition in their to showcase their skills. I'm always learning fighting in there.
  20. LIES! That is the Netplayer's excuse, I don't believe YOOOOOOOU! lol JK. Nah but seriously, may pick him back up or move on to another character. I would hope this comes through, Chicago has a large GG scene, to the extent that it has it's own major here.
  21. Hey guys, what did I miss?
  22. Here's a few to drop in on the thread. Hope you guys enjoy them! BBCS:EX PSN Casuals Featuring - ShinSyn [JI], Kid Viper [HZ] and Kensou [bA] BBCS:EX PSN Casuals - Lord Knight [LI] vs ShinSyn [JI]
  23. You have a skype too? You do realize you gotta add me too right? And when you get your practice in on EX, hit me up for some matches. Anyone who wants to play me in Extend needs to add TheNobleYellow since that's the account I'm playing BB on. ShinSyn is for everything else.
  24. 10:30 works perfectly for me because I get out of class @ 9:00 (10 EST). It gives me time to get back and get ready. Now for those guys, I have no idea if they will be staying up that late.
  25. I would join but I don't have a copy for the X-Box. If it's PSN, I might be able to join you guys.
