  1. Ok well due to the fact no one has said anything, I'm organizing the Skullgirls tourney on the 14th. I'll be making the thread tonight and will have info up as soon as possible so stay tuned :3
  2. If no one else decides to set something up, I'll do it. I'm also considering having weekly gatherings for it too but I have to wait till I see how school pans out for me to set that up.
  3. Hmmm...I was gonna post about setting up a Skullgirls tourney on the 14th...I'll come back later:v:
  4. Screw a fullblown NCI, people need a break. Just make it a day 1 Skullgirls tourney for those interested. If you decide you don't wanna do it, I will cause theres no reason not to have one frankly.
  5. Since you have forever to confirm if you go 5C>2D, if you notice you hit the 5C while they're crouching, you can go: CH 5C>2D>5A>5C>6A>2C>AC>ACWhiff>6C>j.2C>3C>ACWhiff>j.2C>3C>GF DMG:4033 Heat:61 or the dumb version I thought up with 2 MTWs: CH 5C>2D>5A>5C>6A>2C>MTW>3C>ACWhiff>j.2C>2B>5B>2C>AC>j.CWhiff>j.B>5C>Spark>6C>MTW>GF DMG:5977 Heat: Start with 100, you'll end with 51.
  6. Heres another: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?13844-Download-movie-online-Wrath-of-the-Titans-in-full-HD-quality And his account: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/member.php?26581-neonreturn
  7. Chun, I'm gonna tell you straight up, THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION OF PEOPLE SAYING YOU SUCK, QUIT TAKING THE CRITICISMS LIKE THAT. Everyone I talked to at NCI said they were having a great time. No one came to me with legitimate problems and saying the event was the worst thing ever to be run on the face of the earth. Now to bring up something important, the way we as a community actually communicate. Now bear in mind, we've had NCI every since John(TaoFTW) started it back in late 09 and it a GG centered tourney. From the very beginning of it, if people needed to discuss anything, ask any questions or find any info, they went to Dustloop and found the NCI thread and figured it out there. When for almost 3 years now, thats been our main medium of communication from players to TOs to organizers, you need to be sure to focus your discussions, opinions, ideas and updates there FIRST and pay close attention to what everyone is saying. I understand we have a website and an email and a facebook and thats all great, but humans are creatures of habit meaning they won't adjust so easily to other means when you just throw it at them. Everyone still comes here for info and stuff meaning it has to be the top priority when it comes to informing those interested. I'm gonna be honest, I don't check the website or the facebook cause I don't want to, I'd rather just go to where is the most concentrated number of people who are involved with the event which is HERE. Now Chun, DO NOT take this as me saying you don't pay attention to people, I'm mearly saying I think your focus is misled to the less reliable means. I understand you want to get Media out there for NCI and thats great, but I'll be honest, I'd rather just have this thread updated and checked up on by EVERYONE constantly and effectively rather than having 3 scattered sources that people have to hunt and peck through. So instead of a poll on facebook(which I honestly don't even remember being up, let alone if I voted in it or not), you should make a post here about what people want and then use those other media outlets to direct non-Dustloop users to here so that way we have constant hub for information. Talking about it on DL then polling about it on Facebook then updating the website is a messy process that gets frustrating, you need to streamline your information so its easily accessible to everyone. Now as for how to improve NCI itself, I personally accept responsibility for shit going wrong over the weekend. I decided to take a chance and let people go eat given how much of the bracket we had left to go but then we got deadlocked cause people took too long. My mistake, live and learn. I'm just gonna start enforcing the rule that you can go get food at your discretion and be aware that you will be DQ'ed if you take too long for whatever reason. This leaves the responsibility entirely to the player to decide instead of me sticking my neck out there and getting my head cut off for it. Also people if you're going to just play a match without telling me, MAKE SURE YOU'RE ACTUALLY PLAYING THE RIGHT FUCKING PEOPLE. I shouldn't have had to tell 2 different matches that they were playing the wrong opponents cause they decided to glance at the bracket wrong and go. If you wanna play your matches sooner rather than later, just tell me and I'll run your's quickly. If you have to take a deuce and need to be run later, just let me know, I won't kill you for asking but I will kill you for running off and playing the wrong people again. As for the time constraints I'll be honest, I have yet to be to NorCal tourney of any kind outside of majors that has upheld their time restrictions to a finite end. And its always for the same reason, someone is running late for whatever. The Marvel/SF weeklies start really late too for some reason so its not like we're the only tourney scene with time issues, I just think we are the worst. I don't care if we start an hour late for whatever reason, I care that we start 3 hours late. Its been said 1000000 times before, if don't start enforcing a stricter time constraint and actually boot people for it, then it won't ever change. So what if we get one lower than normal attendance NCI because one group was too lazy to get up and get there on time? It was their fault for being lazy, everyone shouldn't be held back for it. They will learn from their mistakes(hopefully) and be on time next NCI. I appreciate the fact that you bust your ass to organize these events Chun. Organizing these things is just as a thankless a job as being a TO you gotta learn to grow a shell and deal with it. Don't take a critique too seriously as an attack on your personal being, take it as a critique to improve the scene you've done so much for and make it better next time. On that note, I'm gonna go back to doing finals work...goddammit:v:
  8. That nigga really puke on himself before he passed out? Stay fucking classy Huey :3
  9. For whatever reason, the provided Frame Data is deceiving. It originally said -4 but the numbers should add up to +2, but I'm pretty sure the numbers for blockstun is off. And I feel like a dick for originally boasting that the data was wrong and it was +2...oh well :P
  10. I'll come by and mash BB with people and I plan to ask many questions about P4 Arena :3 I must learn everything I can about KANJI! :3 EDIT: scratch that...apparently I have no money to get there:v:
  11. Yeah SFO is closer and if worst comes to worst, you can get to GameCenter from the Airport using the train. It'd only be about a half hour and the train stop at San Mateo is literally a block away from GC. But again, worst case scenario option.

  13. Well actually GameCenter is only like 10 minutes from Foster City :3
  14. Team GameCenter is en route in the middle of buttfuck nowhere. See you bastards there :3
  15. You can optimize that more: CH5D>AC>ACWhiff>6C>j.2C>5B>ASledge>3C>ACWhiff>j.2C>5B>5C>Spark>6C>j.2C>3C>GF gives a bit extra heat for most characters. It is a character specific combo in the case of the first j.2C and what you do after. I'll try and remember who exactly what worked on: Ragna, Jin, Hakumen, Bang, Arakune, Valk, Hazama, Rachel, Makoto, Relius, Tao, Tsubaki: ...ACWhiff>6C>j.2C>5B>ASledge>3C>ACWhiff etc etc Lambda, Mu, Noel, Litchi(MAYBE Carl): ...ACWhiff>6C>j.2C>ASledge>3C>ACWhiff etc etc Platinum(Also maybe Carl): CH5D>AC>j.DWhiff>j.2C>5B>ASledge>3C>ACWhiff etc etc I don't remember off the top of my head the exact numbers for each combo. I know the most common one breaks 4K on the GF and I think it gets 70 meter. But I know theres the chance that one or 2 of those characters are in the wrong spot cause I forgot who goes where and not having the game means I can't test it so be sure to double check before you throw those in a match :3
  16. Whos doing stuff with the Tager wiki?? Someone fucked up bad. Everything us shifted wrong which is making it waaaaay off. Startup is Attack Level Active Frames are Startup Recovery Frames is Active Frames Frame Advantage is recovery. So someone should fix that. It's on everything from 5D and Down.
  17. oh...well fuck me:v: I was stupid in not noticing that the example in the System Guide was using the damage from Makoto's DP to do the math:v: Ok so someone double check for me that 5A>5B>3C>ACWhiff>j.2C>5B>5C>6A>2C>AC>GFWhiff>6C>j.2C>3C>GF builds 62-63 Heat right?? Cause when you add everything up, it only shows it getting 56 which I know is wrong. I give up:v:
  18. Yeah I went and took every moves Heat Gain and did the equation: X times .23 x 1.8 and then wrote that down. Then I took the combo and just added all the modified values together and got a really low number. I even doubled the modified values and it STILL wasn't high enough. I dunno if I'm just doing the wrong equations or not cause it really doesn't make sense for the CS2 numbers to match up to Extend given how I went through it. I'd guess I'm either doing something wrong or Tager has gotten a modification to his Heat Gain I don't know about. EDIT: After tweaking some numbers and remembering that Throw moves have set Heat Gain, I'm still short on the numbers overall. This furthers my assumption that they have changed the Heat Gain formula for AT LEAST Tager. Cause CS2 says that the modifier is .23 for Tager and after putting it over double to .5 for all of his moves, I'm ending up about 9-10 Heat short of his standard 5A Magnetized confirm.
  19. Only way to combo off of 236B meterless is on CH as far as I know. CH 236B>5D>[w]j.A>Land D>[h]2C should work. Might not even need that depending on how hard they get knocked into the air from it.
  20. Ok so I apparently don't know how to figure out heat gain in CS2/EX:v: I'm not sure whats making the numbers weird but I'm not getting anything even close to right. I'm just trying to find the numbers using his basic 5A magnetism confirm, and I'm getting numbers that are way too low. I was using the way they calculate heat in the system guide but those numbers are extremely low. That math had his BnB only getting him 22 Meter:v: I find this really ironic as I could figure heat gain in CS1 really easily and went as far as to make sure my theory combos were practical meter wise before I even tried them. So....help anyone??
  21. I figured the proration would be too bad if you did 3 reps. But that was just a thought on my end, certainly wouldn't surprise me if 3 reps worked though. Whats the heat gain reduction percentage?? I have nothing to do so I'm down for some math fun :3 EDIT: Scratch that, I remembered its 75%
  22. I could see the combo going something like this if you have the meter to burn early: FC2C>j.2C>[5B>j.2C]x2>5B>5C>MTW>5B>5C>ASledge>Hammer>j.2C>2B>2C>Collider>j.CWhiff>j.2C>5B>5C>Spark>6C>j.2C>3C>MTW>Terra Break Thats assuming everything after the first MTW builds you enough meter. I'd imagine that would do something like 6.5-7K as the normal combo into MTW>Terra Break at the end does 5.7K I believe. Certainly something worth testing around with since the practicality of this is pretty high since you can usually get out of the corner if you hit the FC and link the j.2C after as opposed to the video showing them being in the corner already. I know for a fact that AA 2C>ASledge Whiff>(7)j.2C puts them in the corner except for maybe Tager cause of his size. I didn't get much time to test the specifics of it but I know it can work at least so investigating more is certainly worthwhile
  23. Well we want as many teams as possible. I'm gonna assume there will be at least 3 teams assuming no one else signs up as I'm pretty Solex/Trix/Blk_Mage are a team. So hunt around and find people :3
  24. I was also wondering why we aren't running SCV with everything else that runs on the cabs?? Given the attendance of AH3 lately, I'd seriously suggest we just make AH3 a later thing and run SCV with BB/KOF. We could just split the cabs to 2 BB, 2 KOF, 2 SCV and then assuming we have BB on Stream and KOF on Scott's recording setup(If he brings it, just an assumption from last NCI), it would be much more beneficial to just have SCV run with everything even though it was given this "experimental Side tourney" status(Which I'm gonna point out makes no sense, side tournies are meant to be cheaper yet its $5 like KOF/BB/Gundam?? Should just go ahead and say its a maingame this month and if it turns a big enough crowd, continue it.) Giving BB 4-5 setups like it had last time was way too much. I always end up making 2 of them Casuals setups cause we go through everything way too fast compared to everything else. Splitting the setups more appropriately would make everything run more smoothly and prevent things from getting too hectic. These are just my concerns with NCI thus far. I imagine having SCV as an evening side tourney is gonna turn away a LOT of the potential players in the scene from wanting to show up. If we're gonna try and support the scene, we need to be willing to provide the best conditions possible for the scene to participate.
  25. Why do we have to wait for the turnout to pick a TO?? You should always have a TO lined up before you see the turnout:v:
