  1. Umm...Just kinda wondering why on the Pre-Reg site, the only game with any kind deadline stipulation next to it is KOF when all games are supposed to be abiding by the same rules??? If all the registration closes at 12, why put another note that KOF ends at 12 as well?? Seems unnecessary and a bit overbearing compared to the rest. Seems silly to emphasis one game over the rest for a particular rule when the rule applies to everything. Not to mention noting that 8 in Attendance are required is an unnecessary rule if we let other games get away with it. I dunno, just something I thought about when Pre-regging. Whatever.
  2. Given that j.C appears to be the same as CS2, I doubt that would work purely because Tager wouldn't be able to get low enough to the ground. He'd hit the j.C just after the the top of the jump arc and you usually have to be falling near the end of the jump for it to work properly. If 5B>j.2C could work non-Fatal, that'd be our best bet for some kind of air combo filler that doesn't involve a Tech Trap. Although I DO like the j.A>j.B>j.D combo cause you get either a Trap or Oki. And if they don't wanna Tech, you could probably get a pretty good follow up if you hit a Collider. Given Tager's output Damage/Heat wise now, it makes it a lot more in Tager's favor to screw people over in situations of "Potentially Beat the Trap or eat shit OR avoid the trap and let him get a long and high Meter combo." Its really a risky lose/lose for the opponent.
  3. I don't think anyone realizes the extent to which my love for ass extends :3 ITS THAT DAMN IMPORTANT TO ME. If that doesn't get the point across effectively, allow me to reiterate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlMpt4ucH2U&feature=related Real fuckin talk
  4. I've read the words Goat and Ass within a 5 minute period of being here, I feel I should continue paying attention for more Ass references :3 Goats are fun too :3
  5. I've seen 5B>j.2C used in a lot of Fatal Combos in recent videos so thats an obvious application so far. Not sure if you can only do it once without proration getting sketchy or if you can actually do it 2-3 times and actually get something a bit more worthwhile out of it.
  6. One of the BB Videos has a small typo. The Brice vs Tonberry match is titled "Bice vs Tonberry" Other than that, matches are hype, thanks for uploads St1ckbug :3
  7. Well 3 KOF cabs is assuming a large turnout. If not, then we can adjust it accordingly :3
  8. Well if we have 6 cabs plus the Stream setup, we could do 2 BB Cabs, 1 AH3 Cab and 3 KOF Cabs with the Stream being mainly KOF till we have to change games. Also I'd suggest we go back to running 2 Streams splitting up the Streams between the games that use HD and the games that use CRTs as the time it takes to switch in between multiple times really adds too much downtime to the whole event. In conjunction to that, we could also advertise the 2nd Stream on the FKO one so people who wanna watch GG/MB can know where to go. But when it takes a half hour to go from monitor to CRT and then another half hour back, it causes too way too many problems, we lose viewers, people wander off, and all in all its a stressful endeavor we should just try to avoid:v: My 2 cents, don't give a fuck who likes it or not, to me its the most logical solution to keep everything as efficient as possible.
  9. But given our track record, end of the night is 3am:v:
  10. Whos gonna hype it up then??
  11. If we're adding KOF, are we even gonna have any open cabs for Marvel??
  12. How do you have so many Masterballs?? We playin Red/Blue?? :3
  13. How are the brackets gonna be done and start by 12 if the registration doesn't end till 12??? :v Why not just have registration end at 1 since thats when everyone shows up anyway since we're apparently never gonna penalize anyone for lateness.
  14. Leona's f.LK is an overhead if I recall correctly.
  15. Cause I felt like it :3
  16. So long as it doesn't tack on an extra 2 1/2 hours to the whole thing like Catherine did the first time we ran it, go for it :3
  17. Actually at the BB "gathering" at GC today, everyone was more interested in KOF13 than anything. Might get into it if I can actually get some decent practice in.
  18. By the looks of the videos and the little bit of Extend I played at NWM, his corner push abilities are the same for the most part. I've seen a new confirm in the past few weeks that gets you a bit more out of the 5C>236A>RC confirms midscreen. Uses a bit more Wolf meter but if I remember right you can get the j.C>5B>5C relaunch relatively easily so it evens out in the end. I'll put the combo as I remember it but it might be a bit off. I'll edit it if I confirm it is wrong. 5B>5C>236A>RC>2C>6B(1)>5C>TK j.214B>5D>[W]j.236A>Land 236A>236B>j.236B>7C~D>[H]j.C>Land 5B>5C>j.B>dj.B>jC The combo in total does a about 4.1K and in total you get about 40 heat back. The standard midscreen confirms only use 2 Beast Cannons which are both subject to the Heat Gain reduction from the RC whereas the newer one uses the TK Mondlitch to kill some time on the Heat Gain cooldown so that 2 Beast Cannons are at reduced Heat Gain but the last 2 give full Heat Gain meaning you get the 5-6 Heat from each one. If this combo works by theory and memory, its a much better confirm than doing either 3C>236A>RC>236C or 236A>2C>6B>5C>236C and the extra Wolf meter spent is negligible.
  19. OK well as enthralling as this "conversation" has been, it has diluted to the point of just placing blame on someone. So if you were part of it and you suddenly see that the whole thing is gone, just know its nothing personal from me to you, just understand that its neither on topic(RE: Valk Boards, not BB General) nor intellectual enough for me to justify letting it continue. Any posts about it after this will also be removed accordingly. Just to clarify my stance, I have no issues with people talking about why certain players are switching to Valk, but just going on about the concept of Tier Whoring and whos right about what on a vastly subjective topic is futile. So if you can keep the topic on primarily what the switch to Valk was for(i.e: Playstyle between Hakumen and Valk is very different. And being a solid player on defence can in turn make using an utterly offensive character like Valk very, very scary) then feel free to converse on it. But PLEASE deter from abrasive posts, insults and generally ineffective contributions. If you have any problems with how things were handled, please do not post them here, address me through PMs and we can discuss it.
  20. I'll show up somewhere in the early evening tomorrow. I'm a bit out of practice so I need the games and with that said, I'll be more than happy to mash around in UMvC3 if anyone would like to :3
  21. When I was at NWM, I played a few games with Valk and the change to Eisen is actually pretty significant. Its honestly even on block AT BEST. The added landing recovery also made it quite less effective on non-CH as the opponent has more time to react to the fact they got hit and tech. CH still gets you a combo though, just a tighter link to 5A now. While I'm at it and not doing schoolwork, I'll note some of the things I felt about Valk from playing him at NWM since I realized I still haven't done that(Sorry:v: ) -So first was the obvious change to Eisen Wolf. Its much less useful now and shouldn't be used very often at all. The occasional Eisen is ok if you condition them to AA something like j.B but still nowhere near as effective. -the 7CD>j.C>2A>5B>2C combo is really easy so long as you hit the j.C right. I much preferred this combo to the usual [W]j.B>j.B>Land 5B combos. -Having the option of hitting 3C>236A is soooooooooooo damn good now as I'm not just doing 6C all over the place breaking primers and shit. I actually use it as a mixup tool at max range now since its viable and easy to confirm. -The IB+Barrier knockback increase is going to vital to keeping pressure off of Valk. I played against a Bang and IB+Barrier'd 2B>5B and literally anything he did after it whiffed. The knockback is HUGE and makes pressure much less effective for some characters like Bang and Ragna which in turn makes those matchups much more bearable for us. Honestly other than those things, hes exactly the same. Hes still really damn good and hes gonna stay good so get hype :3
  22. Get hype people, this is gonna be a badass tourney :3
  23. We're not even gonna be leaving NorCal till noon:v: But at this point, I'll just bite the damn bullet and hope for the best :3 We're leaving tomorrow provided NorCal time doesn't kick in:v:
