omg shinjin <3 watching videos now ahhh you need to confirm your hits more, and combo corner throw into tatami j.PSD SD. If you're going to throw sakura out with tension FRC it and follow up! Less mawarikomi!!! Be careful about throwing kabari when testament or slayer are airborne as they both can punish it from the air by going over it (or slayer j.HS through it). Beware airdashing in at Slayer, don't be impatient!!!! Although Yonasu doesn't seem to much, he can 2S and counterhit j.S easy for huge a combo... a lesson I quickly learned from a few rounds in Japan. Some counters seem to be random/spontaneous.. I don't know if this is intentional or not but generally not a good idea vs a character who can kill you off a counterhit -_-. You should be more careful with stuff like setups into 5D as he can forcebreak it for huge damage if he reacts or predicts. You should do wakeup running 6K more as it punishes wakeup dandy as well as wakeup throw. More confirming! vs both slayer and testament you can combo grounded 5S j.D fairly easily as they're both tall.. I don't think you went for it once! On a normal kabari low air hit you can combo into 5P and 5S. j.D FRC ad tatami relaunch is better damage and closer to the corner than j.D FRC j.SD. Lots of other chances for more damage in the corner with added j.P j.S or j.P j.K in your loops, that's not a big deal though. Overall good sense and baiting though, as well as blocking. You just need to work on overall zoning and offense, as well as learning to be more patient with those characters. It might have something to do with still adapting to stick, but some of these problems are not just input related. I just got back from Japan.. they do not punish those dangerous things lightly :P Sorry if it's too much criticism.. after playing a lot in Japan I really have started to analyze people deeper >_< -
The Good, the Bad, and Ugly as Hell Baiken Matchups
Hellmonkey replied to THE SERAPHIC 1's topic in Baiken
Which situations in particular? Well placed j.S, j.HS, tatami seem to do fine against him. Although your best pokes against him are 2S and chain, so you should try to stay on the ground most of the time. -

The Good, the Bad, and Ugly as Hell Baiken Matchups
Hellmonkey replied to THE SERAPHIC 1's topic in Baiken
While in Japan I've had an opportunity to play against a few good millias. Her stuff is really quite annoying, especially the pin, but the best advice I can give you is to constantly stay active and hit her out of the air with air moves. If she jumps up high to pin and then dash in, you can run under the pin and pressure her when she tries to pick it back up. The most important point is not to get hit... I find that when I concentrate on that and throw out pokes and mats when it's safe I do fairly well. She dies quickly, make sure you hit every combo. -
From a close enough distance, you can combo ground tatami to superjump j.P vs almost all of the cast. I think the only character you can't do it against is Baiken. Vs May and I think Bridget you have to slightly delay the tatami mat after a 2D as they float too high if you do the mat immediately. Dizzy might be like that too, I know I have comboed it before (i did it just yesterday). I'm in an airport so this is all off the top of my head.

Sakura FRC standing dust is fairly strong because if the sakura connects you get your dust combo which gives you a corner knockdown and does decent damage, and if they block it you can break their guard with the dust and still get the damage and knockdown. There is some proration on Sakura, but Baiken should try to get damage wherever she can, because she has trouble getting in on a lot of people (faust, eddie, axl, etc) Most people tend to look for a low or throw after sakura because that is the safest way to follow up so dust catches people off guard a lot. As you play more, you wont have so much trouble switching between characters. Make sure that all the moves you do are thought out- dont just do a random tatami mats or counters. Think about what the opponent will do and respond.

Baiken: Jump at her a lot and instant block tatami mats. When she does a move backdash Potbuster. Realize that usually even if you do get hit, the damage she does to you is miniscule so just focus on punishing almost everything she has with backdash and you win. Don't forget to throw out random PB and backdash PB on wakeup, it gets rid of almost all her okizeme options. Oh, right, and obviously spam a lot of slidehead, especially after making Baiken block. Even if she ourens, if you time it right the ouren will whiff and you get free 50+% damage with some tension.
