  1. Wait what is this Counter Assault OS? Is it universal?
  2. Air Habakiri in combos? Charged lasers in combos? Meterless? I died and went to heaven New CA sucks, and without lolGoldBurstinto5k we might have to just sit down and block a bit more than usual in CP.
  3. Kliff got nerfed a bit too from the looks of it, and Justice got some buffs (lol faster blue burst startup), hopefully she'll play more like they intended now.
  4. Lol nice avatar Ryan. Surprise AC+R (arcade) patch: http://pastebin.com/wvvpK7Bq Some interesting changes, I guess this is why the console patch hasn't been announced yet. Also I'm totally down for P4A or whatever games tomorrow (or I guess later today by this point) at Peacy P.
  5. Changes in the upcoming +R patch courtesy of Alzarath. Looks like Ky got almost nothing but more buffs. Less recovery and lolinvul on FB Greed Sever could be interesting. 3HS has less knockback (!) but reduces the guard bar more on hit. Stars have less recovery too, could make oki with them safer and easier to combo from.
  6. Regarding the 5D combos, you can actually get them to work on the entire cast as long as you delay the 236B a little. This is really good because I've been looking for a good meterless combo off 5D for a long time, other than 5D > 2C or 5D > C shots. 5D (disappear) > A+C > 5D~D (summon) crossups hit people all the time (on netplay at any rate...). An important thing to note about these combos is the timing of the dash 5C. The last hit of 5D~D launches the opponent up in a spinny animation, right as they fall, you should dash right up to them and input 5C to reset Sukuna-Hikona's position. Then just cancel into a delayed 236B to hit everyone. Just make sure you don't dash too far, or you may make the 236B whiff, or end up dashing behind the opponent and getting a 214B instead. You want to be as close as you can underneath them without crossing under them to make the dash 5C > IAD part of the combo as smooth as possible. More 5D comboz, with and without meter: 5D~D > dash 5C > delay 236B~Cx5 (3027 dmg, 24 meter gain) 5D~D > dash 5C > delay 236B~D > dash 5C > IAD delay jA > jC > 5C > 236A~D (3420 dmg, 23 meter gain) ...236A~Bx5 (3857 dmg, 27 meter gain) ...236A~Bx5 > 236236A (4629 dmg) (Awakening)...236A~Bx5 > 214214B > A...A...A...C (5457 dmg) With One More Burst: 5D~D > dash 5C > OMB > dash 2[C] > 5C > IAD > delay jA > jC > dash 5C > 236B~D > dash 5C > IAD > delay jA > jC > dash 5C > 236A~D (4414 dmg, 10 mg) ...236A~Bx5 (4732 dmg, 10 mg) ...236A~Bx5 > 236236A (5524 dmg) (Awakening)...236A~Bx5 > 214214B > A (once)....C (5797 dmg)
  7. GGs everyone I played today. This game brings out some sort of primordial rage from deep inside me, but Naoto is too fun.
  8. I must still have bad memories of Jin Tentacles from CS2 then lol.
  9. I've been wondering why the JP Mus haven't been using jB as much, I mean, it might not be Jin or Hakumen's jB level of jump-in attack but it's pretty up there, especially when you have steins backing you up. The speed and hitbox and everything look the same as EX as far as I can tell. JP Mus keep using j2C as some sort of anti-air bait and it makes me go Oh well, maybe when people stop losing to D spam and being free to 6B we'll see Mus be more creative. Also this talk about gatlings makes me wonder if 2A > 5A will chain on block (without whiff) on a few characters still. It worked on Tager, Haku, and Relius (if you chained from 2A first) in EX, letting you do 2A > 5A > tick throw/TRM setups as well as 5A > 5A frame traps or 5A > IAD in your blockstrings before even having to go into 6A or a B move at all. Really let you just manhandle Relius in the corner, maybe it will work on Azreal too since he looks pretty tall.
  10. Do we know the frame advantage for 6B (1)? Maybe 6B (1) > stein > jump cancel if we know the opponent will block it can work, but then you miss a combo opportunity if you don't hitconfirm.
  11. Dunno if any of you guys are still playing this game, but here's some ToD SMPs off of Hamaon. So if you like to use Hamaon, have 100 meter, and want to do more than a 1k BnB when people don't tech your Hamaon, well... Hamaon (hits) > 5C > 214A~Cx5 > Mudoon > 214C > 214D > 236A~B(once)~D > 2[C] > (delay) 2B > 5C > 236B~DxN (death) - Hamaon (hits) > 5C > 214A~Cx5 > Mudoon > 214D > 5AA > 236A~D > 2[C] > dash 2B > 5C > 236B~DxN (death)
  12. Anyone want to hang out this week? Maybe get some setups at Peacy P? I have so much free time I just don't know what to do with myself.
  13. Yeah, CS1 Mu wasn't that bad by herself, she had pretty high average damage and raped guard primers in that game. It's just that the higher tier characters in that game were batshit insane.
  14. Thanks for the links Tectal, HH's Mu is just what I wanted to see. She's still plenty strong, and I'm glad to see her corner game looks even better than before. Love how HH would fill in the gaps in his pressure with laser blockstun and frame trap with charge/non-charge 214D. Also her corner combos this time end with 2 or more steins and the perfect height for j236D oki.
  15. GGs Mojo_Plenty earlier. Potemkin is gay
  16. Get your lube ready. Also GGs Ted.
  17. This seems pretty accurate lol.
  18. Maybe Instant Barrier reduces the amount of barrier gauge drained? In this video the Mu player fully charges it and it has a white flash like a CT while draining half of Hazama's barrier, but they only regular barrier blocked.
  19. Try to stay mobile and not let them bully you with chains. I think that's the most important part. Try to stay out of chain range by retreating to fullscreen or running underneath them if they try to come in from above. Don't forget Tsubaki's mobility options like jD > airdash and dives to retreat and get some charge at neutral. If they just herpaderp into your face, use 2C and 214D more liberally. If they're actually smart about it, IB the chain and smart mash or DP, but make sure to interact with them and not just try to punish them every time so you don't get baited. Once you can get 1-2 charges and actually get in his face, the matchup becomes a lot easier, just make sure you have a way to punish rolling because most Hazama players will disrespect you.
  20. It looks like it has the same guard crushing properties of a CT but I haven't seen anyone actually normal block it yet.
  21. I think her zoning will be fine, I still want to see the Mu players in videos use TK Totsuka, charged lasers, and air/charged Habakiri in zoning more. I think letting regular steins fire to time them with your attacks will also become more relevant now with the increased blockstun. She has even more tools now but most of the players in videos are still kinda playing like it's CS2/EX, I want to see someone like HH show us what she can do. Side note, JP players hardly ever fail to tech throws, but get blown up by 6B lol.
  22. Just when I was about to lose faith in humanity. Edit: Dafuck happened to the BB character balls?
  23. 3.2k is like little girl damage compared to what we used to do off jC...but it's all about how stylin' our combos look. Looks like with the ground Totsuka/Habaya nerf and the buff to regular lasers' blockstun, they want us to use regular laser setups more often now. I haven't seen any Mus use her charged lasers much either, I wonder if they're just really slow to fire now? Her oki off air combo enders looks a little more intimidating with some layered steins + air Habakiri too. Argh I haven't been this hype for Mu since CS2 came out.
  24. While it's unfortunate that Dora might leave Bang, I think it'd be entertaining to see him learn Mu. She has a lot of shenanigans, I'd really like to see him troll the hell out of someone with her lol.
  25. I'll wait until I see Mus in videos consistently busting out OD loops on people before deciding it's practical or not. I think people are just overreacting because they want to complain about Mu still being good, despite the fact that Amane and Hakumen also have 10k+ OD combos with full meter...it reminds me of when Naoto's SMP loops were discovered, everyone thought she would be SSS+ tier but then look how good that character turned out to be.
