I don't think this game has anything too advanced like character weight classes, but I could be wrong. It could just be a character hitbox issue. As for traps, it looks like they have the same launch height, but C trap has less untechable time. C trap will let the opponent tech in the air, while D trap is untechable until they hit the ground. -

I don't know if everyone on PSN is just using wireless or what, but I can hardly ever get more than a 1 bar connection. And even when I do, sometimes the game just won't let me connect to them. It's also annoying when I set it to "good connections only" and then I get a bunch of 0 bars or "can't determine connection quality"...I find myself playing on XBL most of the time for netplay. -

You have to delay the 236A a bit after the 214C launches, to hit with the very top of the 236A hitbox. I usually just stand there and try to time it instead of walking back, but I never thought about trying that before. The timing is kind of hard to explain, but not bad once you grind it out. Try practicing it from Throw > Mudoon > 214C > 214D > 236A~B(1)~D > ... to get the hang of the timing.

I actually enjoy Extend Mu the best, despite how derpy she can be. But yeah, bring on CP already. Hopefully whoever the boss will be has Mu's playstyle.

Regarding EX gunshot, you can throw her out of the startup. So command throws will beat it clean. Then you just have to worry about DP or jump out, but the risk/reward is in your favor. -

Dead Angle and EX Gunstance are probably her most reliable ways of escaping pressure, but with that in mind, you have to know where to use them. A lot of attacks can low-profile Naoto's Dead Angle, such as Mitsuru's sweep or Chie's 2A, which will make you super sad. EX gunstance has some vulnerability during the startup, so if the opponent does a meaty attack or throw (FFFF Kanji) it'll get blown up, so don't jump the gun (ba-dum-tsh). And of course, if you REALLY need to gtfo of there, in Awakening you can use Raid > OMC to guarantee a way out. I like jB for air-to-air a lot, often I find it the only move I can use to stuff the more retarded air normals in the game like that bitch Labrys's jB. With that said, you still have to use it a bit ahead of time but I still think it's our best move for get people to respect us in the air. jA is good too, but hits more downward so it's better as a pressure tool than a move to just beat out the other player's air normal like most other characters. How do you guys feel about 5B as a mid-range anti-air? I think this is the ideal range for Naoto's 5B given it's hurtbox and I've even hit some people from behind with it which looks really silly. I find myself using 5B a lot more than 2B for anti-air tbh. Also I think 2A deserves a mention as a situational anti-air because of Naoto's low profile. I think in terms of anti-airs, Naoto is a lot like Jin in BB, where you can't rely on one move as an all-purpose anti-air and really have to know when and where to press which buttons. Thanks, I'll correct this now, sorry for the late reply. If you airdash and use EX Trap, you'll give your airdash a fastfall. It costs 25 meter, but it's fun to do near the end of the round when they only have a little bit of life left because you can do silly crossups for the kill, and good to mix up the neutral game. -

One More Bursts count as two SMP moves, so does Mudoon in Naoto's case. So for that example, 214D is the first SMP move, followed by 2A (2), 2B (3), jA (4), jB (5), jC (6), OMB (7, 8), 2[C] (9), 5B (10), and 236B (11). I don't think 5C counts as an SMP move since it's used multiple times in some of Naoto's other SMP combos. Side note, Aigis with SMP combos would be some scary shit, I don't think she needs any more tools lol.

Basically you want to hit them as they fall down, with the very tip of 236A's hitbox. Then do the B~D followups asap. Then after that, you'll have a little more time than you think to link the 2[C]. The timing is tricky but not bad after you practice. Now it someone has an easy way to do C shots > Mudoon, I'm all ears. It is the only Naoto combo part I just cannot do consistently.

Yosuke is an asshole character, but I think his lack of true oki prevents him from being straight-up S tier.
