Sorry didn't know everything was hinging on me. I'm down for whatever everyone else wants but I thought Spinato's sounded nice. I'm on my way to Ruben's right now -

Sure. Wait a minute, who drinks milk with pizza? That just sounds gross. -
This kept happening to me earlier today. Gonna have to get 661D into muscle memory to avoid getting accidental super. Also I safejumped Mu's DP in the mirror match earlier. Not gonna lie; it felt pretty good.

Was it something like this?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xo2QypHiwes&t=2m30s I want to say you could do that in 1.0, but no way to go back to the previous version to check.

You have to be careful with j2C because it can be airgrabbed or AA'd preemptively. Now, if you get ground thrown out of j2C cause you fudge up the timing for using it as an overhead, I totally know your pain. I've been 360'd out of it by Tager before; many facepalms were had.

GGs Tectal and Tesnolgic. DP nerf is actually noticeable vs. Valk. No more Arcana Heart clash battle with wolf sweep.

So I was in training mode seeing what I could get off a bomb hit, because people often just choose to get hit on bomb oki and a weak air combo just isn't cutting it. Then I thought, "what if C0R's throw combo works off a bomb hit? They're both short starters right?" And sure enough, the exact combo for a throw works off any bomb hit near the corner. (5B/2B/6A/5C) > 2C > sj2C > j6D > 2B > 6A > 6C > 5D > j2C > 3C > j2C does 3k-5.7k depending on how many bombs hit and how long you charge them. Shoutouts to 6C and j2C not caring about silly things like "combo timers".
-
Blocking isn't the problem. It's all the things she can do afterward for seemingly little risk.
-
GGs to SWD. I had no idea how retarded Litchi's jD was. Gonna have to training mode how to deal with that move :v

Want to say Mu's is a reference to Kusanagi (sa = 3, na = 7?) but idk. Silly Japanese number wordplay.

Kokopuffs is still really good, just not batshit insane. Also I am loving the new Terumi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtOgdCL4wOE -
My face when Bullet runs through Habaya and grabs the shit out of Mu: http://stream1.gifsoup.com/webroot/animatedgifs/271878_o.gif Also the new command interpreter makes getting Rage Aggressor a lot easier, if you have butterfingers execution like me. Or at least it seems more lenient. Edit: Nvm, I'm just crazy
-
Yeah j2C still seems like a really good poke. I guess the change was just to make it easier to preemptively anti-air Mu players going crazy with it? After some training mode, I appreciate the Ikutachi change more. Getting a full tachi combo off max range 5C CH/crouching hit is nice, as I remember dropping them before because Mu couldn't airdash cancel back through the opponent in 1.0. New charged Sword recovery is somewhat noticeable, maybe we can set up some silly frame traps with it and lasers now? At the least it's a bit safer to throw out in neutral I suppose.

I can Inferno Divider up to the heavens. It's glorious. But RIP corpse stomping -
It's hard to visually tell, but Ikutachi does indeed seem to flip behind the opponent a bit faster. It doesn't seem to affect any combos in any appreciable way though. They can't be expecting us to start using it as some super mixup tool, right? Also another purely cosmetic is that a lot of Mu's moves make a cutting SFX now. It's really noticeable on j2C where there was the loud SLAP effect before. Definitely a lot more fitting.
-
Right after the the first 5[D] hits is about the timing where you should airdash cancel the j5[D] and hit jC. After that, just make sure to land and dash after the jC to 6A and 2C immediately, so the opponent is high enough for the rest of the combo to work.
-
Our combos should pretty much be the same, at least from what I've seen in videos. Hopefully the tachi change will make certain confirms easier, but we'll have to wait and see. FC midscreen or corner? Midscreen I'm still not sure which confirm is the best. I've doing 6C FC > 5D > Tachi > j2C > badc > (delay) jC > dash 2B > 5C > 5[D] > jB > jC > j2C > j6[D] > 66 jC > j2C > dash 3C > j2C > (SoD) for about 4k and 2 steins on top of opponent when they hit the corner. Don't have to fuss about spacing on the 6C, and the 5D gives you plenty of time to confirm, even if the damage is a bit underwhelming for a FC combo. Maybe pochp has a more optimal confirm. EDIT: I just watched pochp's video again, and that confirm is way better than mine. I would grind that one out since it is much more optimal. Other than the beginning 6A, everything else in the combo just has to be done as fast as possible. Which part are you dropping? Corner you should definitely do 6C FC > 5[D] > SoD > 66 2C > 5[D] > CT > 5C > 2[D] > jB > jC > j2C (OD cancel) > 214[D] (max) > (Omoi/OD Omoi) for 7~8k. Super EZ, though you have to make sure you're not so close to the corner that the 6C whiffs (should be fine if you just barrier'd a DP or walk back a step though).

GGs to everyone I played, until my internet decided to implode. I guess it's a sign that that's enough netplay for today.
-
I must just be playing against the wrong Plats then. But her conversions definitely feel less threatening than CS2/Extend, where every hit seemed to lead into 3-4k + bubble oki. Now it's like "oh I got hit by Plat. Ah well, I got like 2-3 more chances."
-
Yeah, it's true that there are definitely solid Plat players, but most of the time online, it's all like... "k gotta get item I got the cat stick. TIME TO RUN UP AND D CAUSE HELL YEAH CATS I got the bat. hell yeah reversal. did you block it? MASH D AGAIN, THEY'LL NEVER EXPECT THIS you're doing something? YOLO HEART CAR" etc etc. Thankfully Plat is kinda bad in this one, so it's kind of whatever, but back when she could actually do damage off random hits it was more annoying (still have nightmares of her 2C).

Get hype for Valk, Haz, and Tao nerfs. Unfortunately, the pink cat menace and supreme gorilla overlord still stand in our way to top tier glory.

Only two more days until my DEAD SPIKEs become INFERNO DIVIDERs. Though, if the patch comes out Wednesday, shouldn't it come out Tuesday evening for the US, since Japan is like 15 hours ahead? Would be nice if it came out a bit early, but I suppose it depends on what time the patch is released.

^I can understand not wanting to play against Kokopuffs, but how will you learn the MU against Mu (lol) if you never want to play against her? Granted, Mu can be annoying to fight against, because most characters have to play by her pace, but losing to wild Hakumens that just go crazy in neutral isn't the most fun way to lose either. On the reverse, I can play patiently and try to have a perfect neutral but then lose because a Hakumen busts out the UNIT COOKIE DOUGH, which never feels good. I totally agree on Platinum though. Something about that character is just annoying to fight against, but it could just be that most Plats play like nutcases. Same with Tager. When I lose to Tager I never think "man this Tager was so solid, I got outplayed", it's usually "man I can't believe I fucked up in neutral once, then fell for some stupid gimmick, and lost".

To be fair, before the US version came out, ranked match was pretty much a desolate wasteland and you were lucky to find more than two people with a decent connection on at any given time. As for the topic, it might be better to ask what isn't a pet peeve online haha. Probably the most annoying for me is when people one-and-done or two-and-done you for no explicable reason; even when the match is pretty even or the connection is fine. Granted, real life shit happens and sometimes you just gotta go for whatever reason. It's another thing entirely if they're clearly trolling you or playing like a shithead and then don't let you get the runback. But I'm just stubborn like that lol. Netplay is like some kind of drug addiction. I know how bad it is but I keep coming back for more.
