  1. Several times... CT he moved to S toward the end (generally considered fourth best of that game), cs2 I believe, and both Cp's. I think he was low tier only once or twice.
  2. As promised... SPOILERS WITHIN SPOILERS!? The Jin vs Rachel Neutral Game by someone who has played this game far too long ;_; I wrote this all tonight and on one cup of coffee, and at work. Don't judge me. Alright lesson over, any questions?
  3. It's a bit strict but given this is an execution based route, it only requires practice. You are doing the 214d66b together, as fast as you can, and right after the launcher of choice (usually 3c). 5a after is a link, which also requires timing. Get used to the recovery of 214db so that you can do 5a as soon as hazama lands and recovers a bit. There's a small 3 frame buffer in this game so you can do it slightly early, just not too early. You could tap 5a twice in quick succession to maximize the chance of it coming out on time, just don't do it too late or you may have to adjust to the situation. You will know you did it right when it looks like hazama moves forward just a little, shortly before the backflip. Just need to link the 5a after.
  4. What happens when you bait a burst and they don't burst? Sadness. One should be evaluating player habits, character aggressiveness and the need to burst first. because burst has many situations of which to be used that doesn't involve getting hit. Figuring out when someone will burst/OD is some of the most advanced stuff in this game, and consistent prevention of opposition using burst correctly is bound to make a player formidable. And don't sleep on bursting immediately. Getting it back via a timer helps this style of bursting. Back when bursts were 2 stocks max this was a horrid idea, but in cp, it's the exact opposite depending on the character and player.
  5. Someone said that already
  6. Maybe he likes you.
  7. Just be aware guys, no character is safe from the nerfbat, strong normals, drive, both, or otherwise. Everyone can be hit, whether they have been the best forever or not. Likewise, everyone can be buffed. Don't let past games lull you into a sense of security or despair, because the next game could change your thoughts about everything, make you believe it was all a lie. Yes, even Tsubaki could be good, if the devs allow it. (But apparently they don't like her too much, so this is like the only exception lol)
  8. Which color do you use? Just...uh...Just out of curiosity
  9. Amane is certainly not boring, and I wouldn't consider him a one trick pony either. He's supposed to be, supposed to "win using the drill", but since the idea is extremely gimmicky, he has to play like a movement character with range. His drill turns him into a completely different character. A good one.
  10. Makoto does not necessarily need any more input changes at this point.
  11. Someone inv me please. o8UrbanLegendo8 Lol. There's always next time
  12. Sorry guys, I'm not focused right now lol. some company came in. And this line is too long so, another time. Ggs.
  13. Sorry, I was just terrorizing a room for a bit while waiting for replies. Can't believe I haven't played in 3 months and it's like stopping yesterday... Nemesis, some people may not want to hear it, but have you considered your approach in helping them might not sound, to them, as helpful as you may think? Think about it. Whatever you are saying to other, would you want to hear it? Jin and makoto, got it. Need a few days at most.
  14. It's a defense mechanism. These sorts of people have had traumatic experiences in their lives that reinforces the notion that losing means they somehow are inadequate. These deep feelings of despair is bound to change a persons character. One could say they fear losing, in an unhealthy, irrational sense. They aren't dragging you to their level entirely on purpose, and chances are unless you show empathy and understanding toward them, you will not get anywhere trying to help these sorts of people. No one is home, so I can use the 3. Anyone playing?
  15. On it. Games wise, I no longer own a PS3, only ps4, and playstation now streams bbcp, which is laggy but I will try one day. My sis has my PS3 so maybe I will hop on after work if she isnt home. Also, howling-_-moon has been deleted because yahoo doesn't want to give me my email back, so there's that...
  16. Um I'm not sure what went wrong in here and at what point lol, but everyone seemed to have chilled out. That's good. I don't really want to get too much into to this right now because work, but I will say one thing, Errol. Adaptability is a thing. If you lost a match, chances are, it was not just simple execution mistakes more than it would be, it could be a ton of other reasons you lost. Just because rachel has bottom tier defense doesn't mean catching her with her dress down is gg. It's not over until it's over. It may be true that under some conditions Tager and haku can do brutal damage, but they need so much time to execute, time you gave them by doing other things. They may get out of your oki, because they simply guessed right not because you guessed wrong (this is one and the same, but technically you can do a mixup you've never done before and they still block first time, meaning they blocked right more or less) Might just know Errol might jump here in neutral, let me just air grab him real quick. You're playing a game with another human, the supposed alpha species on this planet, they just have to be thinking of ways to beat you, just as you are vs them. Anyway I'm not coming at you, I think you are good considering you started playing rachel not too long ago (has it been a year now?). Do I think you could stand to make less "mistakes"? That's always going to be there, you can't just not make mistakes, they are always around the corner, even when they shouldn't be. It's about identifying them correctly though. I hope that makes sense. Glad you guys like the write up, I loved writing it, so if anyone has any requests...?
  17. I did it on a different app this time, no random refreshes. Sometime you have to trip over the rock to get past it.
  18. Alright, so just so everyone is on the same page, I will be referring to hakumen playing "cowardly" - I have a pretty clear indication on how that would be, even though I haven't seen the matches (by the way, I can give a more accurate process if I actually did see the matches). I will also assume Errol was simply playing rachel. If that is not true then I will stand corrected. DISCLAIMER: did not spell check!
  19. Lol. Ok, let me throw my brain pasta in here, just give me a little time.
  20. Experience is experience. Even with lag the roots that make the game will not change, just the tactics. Any player could still try to have serious games online and win with strategies that are certainly not netplay tactics. Usually though this player must already love the game and actually have a decent connection and aptitude for learning to begin with. Combos and other things for gg is harder than persona or bb, so it's understandable why more people wouldn't play this online compared to the former two.
  21. Looks the same to me
  22. Fuckkk. Completely despise my phone right now. Upon typing an essay on this it gets deleted somehow right when I'm done. Holds the L, writes something again. About to send, deleted... Again! With that being said, before I do something I'm going to regret later to this device, im going to set it down gently, walk away, and try again later.
  23. Lol'd a little harder than I should have in public but that's besides the point. Talking about it is going to get you nowhere. Fight it out - in the game, ofc
  24. Didn't nemisis win evo that one time? Both of you are good, but damn, this tension between the both of you is thicker than bread. Perhaps an ft10 is in order to decide the best?
  25. All this talk about nerfed barrier and amane is still terrible. :L
