Unless there is a dp OS for crossups in this game (like, Leo theoretically could beat it due to his dp being a down charge) or the foe is in the corner, or you aren't point blank the above options are simple and effective at providing a high/low/throw mixup and a left/right mixup, and leads to conditioning for empty jumps and such
-
Pressure and speed is all he has, outside of point blank now in his advantage, any button he presses runs a great risk of whiffing and/or being punished. Since 5d is his only scary, consistent tool in neutral and it has been neutered, same with jd and j2d in the air. If he gets caught with no meter, either by getting caught in neutral or blowing it all on a combo (which is the point!) for "ok" oki, he can get extremely bodied. His risk and reward is skewed toward risk for most things, so the player has to keep being clairvoyant. Feels great to constantly reset pressure or score a counterhit with him though. Most matchups where the foe has a dp, especially meter less, or outranges his 5d, or has strong pressure on their own (think about 80-90% of the cast right now having one or more of these things), is an uphill battle. Edit, basically everything everyone else said plus the many many weaknesses of this char.

I don't know the criteria, just asking. I'm guessing that's a no, though.

Has there been a "all new distortion/OD distortion drives for all characters" been created yet in 2.0? Searches on YouTube are proving futile. Well not really, previous versions have shown up.

The claws are out and scratching. Meouch!

We have a wiki with all the data you seek...

I think it was casual. Personally I love his play, very artistic and confident. Clearly he has put a ton of effort into playing this character even in the old days.
-
braindead? I always thought tk anything required at least a little effort.
-
it is going out of style. very familiar s tier.
-
Leo got a lot of stuff that looks amazing alone and harmonious together. Claims of top tierdom, while way too early, don't sound unlikely.
-
That is also true. I think both roles play an equal part, honestly. The fact that she isn't too different and the fact that she is lamer. Similarity counts because, no one is going to pick up lambda and say, "wow, I love her but nu looks so boring..." That would be absurd unless there were some lambda lovers who didn't like nu - I'm willing to bet there aren't many of those as they were already the same character on many occasions. Of course, being inferior, the other 99% who are not in the above category, will just pick up the top tier. Both points currently contribute to this character just being a waste for right now. Don't forget we are probably all paying 60 or something dollars just to continue playing cp with 1 and a half new characters. I'm a bit miffed at their character decisions as a whole. While I can hold that L with a lame celica though, lambda was a questionable decision overall.
-
Changing her down the line is expected at this point. The problem here is, she could have another character until the devs had at least some semblance of the direction they wanted to take with her. She is too similar to nu right now.
-
I also wonder whose bright idea it was to include a palette swap of nu. Lambda could have been a shadow character at most, not a completely different character. I think lambda is more focused on the physical aspect of nu, doing close up mixups, having sickle store to lock them down so she can get in. D serves more as an approach method done poorly than a zoning tool. And she is supposed to do throw shenanigans. All stuff that nu could have had instead of being zoning oriented or something.

He's probably going to stay at a. I don't think his core problems are fixed, though his offense is now very very good to compensate. For those who can go higher than super jump height for the average character, and can move around the screen; for those with lengthy physical hitboxes; those who have ways of dealing with the changes on top of having a general ok time against magnetism will be ok. Even still, this likely is the best version of tager. Nu is a wench so she wasn't allowed into top 20. Simple. Can someone do an analysis on Tao please

all of this new stuff sounds quite intriguing. wonder if the mini games will be allowed on netplay.

you're already practicing combos I mean why not learn your character's wakeup timing... ib should definitely not be removed, but I can sort of agree on a slightly wider wakeup reversal window, there are quite a few interchanging variables on wakeup depending on both the characters to the point where having such strict timing on top of all the variables is a bit daunting to green horns. understandable. learning your char's wakeup timing and therefore reversal timing shouldn't take you a whole weekend, but if you seriously cannot get it, don't beat yourself up (because the foe is already doing that); just keep blocking until you can figure out how to escape the pressure. just as you can't block the high low every single time, even if you dp, it doesn't mean you will get that to hit either (and doing this and losing is suicide risk/low to medium reward in most cases.) and remember there is nothing wrong with losing for the sake of learning something new or trying something risky. unless you're in a tournament. then you should feel ashamed.

that sounds like what 6hs is basically going to become when it comes to oki. really trying to make sure his crossup option shines. more conditioning is never a bad thing. his seals do need buffs...

... so apparently marie is listed bottom in the new game, what happened? did she get smacked with the nerf bat?
-
Amane doesn't win that matchup without harassing the shit out of hakumen. If it weren't for drill he wouldn't win at all. And we all know how gimmicky getting to level 3 can be...

Rachel has been the very best, absolute worst, and everywhere in the middle. She has been filthy rich, dirt poor, middle class... Now she's near the poverty line again after enjoying a recent source of income a little too greedily. Now she's on a budget. What she needs to do is start drinking people and then she will be unstoppable again. Litchi has never really been bad ever. Still good even in the new game, but she's still challenging so. Amane is following in tsubaki's footsteps. Not good Who else... Carl always switches. One minute he's all unblockables and the next he's a solid character. Been like that since CT. He's still one of the coolest chars in the game imo, if only he had a run dash...

Not surprised. Every other nerf would be fine, but wind regen is the character. Once wind regen is slow or IOH is lost, she plummets. And this is no exception. At least she still looks 'viable', that is at least until she has to fight a hazama or nu. Unlike CS, where she would have been better off observing.
-
I think the point here is that as long as the devs still have imagination there really is no "reason" for any char in any game to be bad. Besides each character technically having a limitless amount of options on paper, some of which don't even have to make sense, the devs can give any character an extremely strong normal, special or gameplan. Basically, devs are Gods of their own little game world and its their and their team's say on what a character gets and how it should be handled. That said, unless you know the dev personally, there's no way in hell you can say this character is forever bad or good. All we know for sure is that valkenhayn, litchi, Jin and hazama have been consistently top for a long time - and neither one of them is "safe" in the next game, even still. @stylish rachel was bad in CS. CSE she was ok

best after combo setups are usually just summoning pumpkin or frog and going from there. midscreen, after 5cc any summon will work with rachel's strategy. for 3c, you can summon frog and attempt to punish the foe's forward (to you) or delay techs with 5b. 6b can be used if you condition/know the foe will immediate tech, it will beat some dp's with proper spacing. 2a would work because of fast startup and recovery and options. foe back tech pretty much beats all your most threatening options after 3c frog. if you suspect this you can hunt them down personally, or use the extra frame advantage to summon. whichever suits the situation. rachel has unreactable 50/50's up close. after a jump-cancellable situation (after 5a, 5b, any situation where you can jump), you can perform a 12 frame instant overhead, and you do this by inputting 9+2d+ja in that order as quickly as possible. rachel will do a short hop, and nago will attack with his paw. before rachel lands, input jb to keep the foe in blockstun. you will then land and you can input a move quickly that will be immune to any attack the foe may want to do except guard cancel. usually you will want to 5b here and then confirm a hit or not. if a hit, follow it up with a combo. on block you can do the IOH again, or you can use 2b for the 10 frame low option. done correctly, the foe literally has to guess which attack you will use after 5b. only crippling weakness is, every instant overhead needs 1 wind stock. cant use what you don't have. also ja has a short combo starter, usually confirms will be ..land 5b 5cc midscreen or ...after 5c dash 5b 6a 236a 3c summon in the corner. you do the second jc as low to the ground as possible. you nead to land quickly, so using 2d asap after the first jc, more likely than not will give you the optimal combo situation.

I never agreed with that and not sure why anyone would believe that... I learned my lesson with CT -> CS Rachel.

True, there has been only a bit of time for the tier list to develop. It could change, I doubt by a huge margin right now, but change nonetheless. And as you said, it's probably because bang v nu is traditionally in bang's favor. Sorry, we're all out of medals. Whatever the case, enjoy your 15 minutes.
