Guilty Gear FAQ Thread - Ask your questions here!
4r5 replied to Kairi's topic in Guilty Gear General
I remember people saying some version of AC+ has some glitches. Like some character is missing some gatling. It might of been the Japanese version of AC+. Everyone usually runs American AC. Or at least accepts whatever glitches are in the American AC port. -
missed opportunity for hnk reference
-
Ragna has a 'dust'loop also

Some of this stuff is three years old. It's entirely possible that at the time of writing people just didn't know 2S was better than f.S.

gg = grindan gaem how your frc's coming, op?

Just like SRK's newbie forum. This too will slowly transition from 'how i fighting games?' to 'how i life?'. A FINE LINE WE TREAD

I'll just leave it playing in the background, and whenever I hear someone screaming in to the mic I'll pull the footage
-
I got like 9 some odd hours of footage. dun know if want to watch it all to find the hype
-
frcs like those are usually "OH FUCK I'M A GET HIT" :mash buttons: "oh, cool" timing. I dunno how to get them with out someone rushing in at me
-
BE doesn't combo into anything. You're at minus frames when you land. Even on hit, you still can't combo anything into it unless you rapid.
-
FYI, the white flash is the FRC point. The blue fade is after the FRC point and is just there to help you find the white flash. Real way to practice FRC: eyes closed, sound off, all muscle. Some FRCs, usually ones that occur after active frames, you have to treat as separate FRCs. For example, I treat Venom's StingerAim(frc) as a different FRC from HS>StingerAim(frc), and even different from f.S>StingerAim(frc).

last time we had two setups (i brought two setups ) though, two setups was fine for the gg tournament and the five some people who stuck around for games. we're probably fine on setups. we could had three setups but there was no demand for a third.

it increases the guardguage in fact, i think all ex char's projectiles increase the guardguage
-
did you account for all of ex-roboky's projectiles doing gb+? and the hilarity that is ex+roboky's new 214d forcebreak?

Wasn't even talking about the differences between #r and AC. I was talking about the differences between #r online and #r offline. They're different games. Like, Ky got me in a blockstring, and all my inputs are delayed by a minimum of 4 frames? "Fuck." Can't react, so I gotta guess. Whelp, guessed wrong, got combo'ed and knockdown and charged stunedge, and here we go again. It's kind of lame, yeah. Do I expect people do not use "lag-tactics"? No. And I wouldn't want people to not use them. There's lag, no way around it. That's the game. People are going to do things differently online than offline, and that's why I don't take it seriously. You probably shouldn't either. They're different games and people do different things. #r online is just for goofing around. As a learning tool, towards offline play? I dunno, I guess you can try. But I wouldn't. Back when I couldn't find anyone to play GG with, training mode's record/playback was my best friend.
-
Don't take it to seriously. Playing #reload online isn't about competition or improvement. #r online is just a (sometimes) fun time waster. If it's not fun, just stop playing for a while. Or deny challenges from whoever, or whatever. If you're using #r online to learn GG, well, good luck with that. I would suggest you give up on that. It's a different beast online. Unless you can find a group of players with less then 50ms ping. But then it's like, why play online? As for general RAGE coping strategies. I'm not a very angry kinda guy, but what my friends do is they just put down the controller, step away from the game, then come back when their heads cool down. Seems to work out better, considering before they used to just keep playing, and getting more RAGE and think less, intill meltdown. But now it's like, small rage, step away for a few minutes, and come back ready to think and solve problems.

I'm somewhat sure that SB still leaves you with a frame or two blockstun.
-
blue = special moves / no meter green(orange?) = forcebreaks / requires 25% meter red(?) = overdrives / requires 50% meter whatever the colors are, they go in that order (there might be one char that breaks the rule but whatever, hopefully you're smart)

s: comboz, poking(lol), frc'ing hs: setupz d: easymode setupz, air knockdown do command for orb, hit stick/pad in directions, before the orb comes out, and the orb will follow your directions
