  1. VF is a victim of it's own fame. It's the deepest fighting game ever. So deep, no person can hope to master it! Don't even bother, just stay home, boy. So go play Tekken, it got guns and devil wings and shit. Oh and check out that Tekken Force beat 'em up thing. Though I think Tekken is harder to learn than Virtua Fighter. Since Tekken just has so much useless stuff to sift through. Then once you figure out what's good and what's not and can start building a gameplan, you still have just general Tekken randomness throwing noise at you.
  2. It's a well designed game. Everything with a purpose; nothing without a purpose. oh and CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION!!~@#
  3. this is called stagger yes, you shake the joystick. buttons do nothing if it doesn't seem to be doing anything, then shake faster and/or sooner (and sometimes harder and with more heart) there are some combos that involve stagger, that in order to escape requires a shake beyond what a human can(?) consistently do.
  4. Nah. You can only tech a throw if you were thrown in a situation where you yourself could throw.
  5. You need to talk to an admin about enabling that stuff.
  6. For stored clean-hit glitch, I think you just have to have a sidewinder that would've hit for a clean-hit be blocked. (then RC so you don't get punished)

    [AC] Johnny vs Faust

Faust actually has a fair amount moves that are reversal-safe meaty against Johnny's super. 2K, 5P, c.S, 2P, Air FB>SpringBack. And a number of normals that he can reversal between the superfreeze and the active hit. Dust being one of them, as well as: 6P and 2S, and GambleSuper and crouchwalk. Wakeup super against Faust is an all around bad idea. Faust doesn't have any reason to give Johnny a wakeup super. Faust's 6P is one of the weaker 6P's in the game. The invincibility cuts short before its active frames. But people get hit by it 'cause they're trying to deal with 2K and 2S, and sometimes 5P. KillerJoker is indeed Johnny's anti anti-air, but it doesn't work too well against Faust's 2K. DivineBlade is Johnny's almost-absolute anti anti-air, but the rewards off it are significantly less.
  8. I thought that too when AC first came out, but at the time I thought AC-Testament was a pretty jerkish character, and might dissuade people from picking up the game. But people are already leaving the game, so I guess it's moot now.
  9. too much snow, stay home, don't die read this instead http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=223810

  11. SNK's best business decision yet!
  12. (Forgot about GG, as I sit here practicing for a local GG tournament.)
  13. CS or no BB at all. If BB removed, then put CvS2 in its place and give all of CvS2's votes to MB. K, thanks, awesome talking to you, bye.
  14. You guys like Melty Blood? 'Cause oh man, there's going to be some Melty Blood!
  15. any US version of Accent Core (or Accent Core Plus, tournament-wise they are both the same)
  16. Depending on the weather, MD has a small VF community.
  17. shrug, I'll forward this to the staff forum
  18. Eh, yo! I was reading over what this ranbat thing was and it says that you win some money at the end of the season! Man, I'd def play in that. I wasn't expecting to come away with anything, but the chance of winning some money really pumps me up more than a box of fruit!
  19. SBX is going to be such a snooze fest. HnK, FUC, and SBX all got whack shit, but atleast in HnK and FUC people died. SBX, you just sit there sipping your coffee while you watch the same three moves repeated x N till timeover.
  20. Capcom getting good at squeezing out the small-timers with one of their random games, or does whoever do MB not care about SBO anymore? edit: also looks like ArcSys is still interested in maintaining interest in GG. New GG Fighting Game I Want To Believe
  21. Sengoku BASARA X :8/:
  22. The expression is different, but the ideas are the same: control space, read your opponent. Jumping isn't as punishable as in SF (or even previous GG's), but a strong ground-game still goes a long way. Eddie can fuckin' fly, but you still see Eddie keep to (and sometimes in) the ground.
