Guys, guys. The skid animation is being kara'd in to the throw.
-
like in the fd dash throw part, you say how you can cancel the skid with an FD to throw faster. I find that when I'm teaching this to people I always have to tell them that they still have to do everything quickly. That simply FDing a dash doesn't magicly produce a faster throw. And inevitably they start asking questions about preserving dash momentum to produce a better dash throw and such. Maybe you wanna get in to all that while you're on the subject, maybe you wanna save it for another video? I would keep it all to one video. so like, is this video (videos?) specificly for your scene, first and foremost?

Hazama we're talking about. You're still a threat from 2/3 of the screen away. Plus a lot of the time he simple had the life lead. He didn't have to do anything, it's the other guy who has to come up with something. He can afford to sit and wait, watch his opponent and gather up some insight, and punish whatever mistakes they make. I think this guy still has some holdovers from another game. He seems to reflexively throws empty-jumpins. It cost him a couple of times in the Noel matchup. Along with not knowing how to combo Noel and botching up some instant block attempts. He was making a lot of good decisions, probably would of won if he at least didn't drop the combos.

oh cool. finally a Hazama that doesn't have shit reactions, isn't a loony, and can make (very) good reads. video details says his name is えすきう I'm curious to see if he's consistent or if he was just having a good day edit: oh hey, another one http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9080403

Dude, guy's username is already a built in motivator for him getting good with Bridget! If he plays Baiken, he would need to request a name change to 'good and boring'. I-no isn't all that easy either, but her difficulty is more in the combos which I guess is a step up. Anyways, real answer: Search your soul and follow your heart. (Just start trying some characters and figure it out yourself. A bunch of guys on the internet don't give much a damn who you play.)

Hits like a little boy, takes damage like a bitch. One of the few things going for him is his great movement. But since he can't take it and he can't deal it, the risk/reward skews his successful strategies towards run away and playing the clock. Weak character, high execution, and few people play fighting games so that they can not fight. shrug, here. knock yourself out http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=videos&search_query=br+Emillll&search_sort=video_date_uploaded&suggested_categories=24

Underplayed? Bridget Annoying? Bridget Unexpected? I'm still surprised Jais plays Bridget. edit: lol, bridget fits your name. He's all about space and TIME.

You should be using number notation. The sooner you get begginners acclimated to our language, the better. http://www.dustloop.com/ggac/data/conv.html Likewise, "FD Jump" should be called "1 Frame Jump" I'm pretty sure all jumps are the same start up. Save for 1F Jumps, which depends on your execution. Should mention that 1f Jumps can only be done straight up Should explain the running mechanics, and dash braking, before moving on to throws. Then you can explain how to use dash brake inconjunction with throws. @3:04 - you are impling that 1F Jumps have some sort of recovery @3:59 - you can throw a burst at anytime. startup, active, and recovery. both blue and gold I would avoid making huge generalizations on the uses of attacks @9:44 - "deduce" , also, don't belittle your audience. It can be easy for seasoned players, but it is absoulutely not easy for brand spanking noobies. You should have the input display turned on. I assume part 2 is going to cover chains and cancels? edit: you're also lacking alot of technical nuances, I dunno if you wanna get in to that.
-
I assume the vids are ordered oldest to newest from top to bottom, right? That's not good enough?
-
oh wow, neat. didn't know we had this stuff on the server http://www.dustloop.com/ggac/char/johnny/jon-str.html Though, Hazama's Ja-cancels don't look to create a huge frame differential like Johnny's Mist-Cancels do.

they game has always had both. what did r.always say? and from what I remember, when zetaboards said something was blahblah invul, they mean it in the traditional sense. and they specificly use anti-blah for all the attribute stuff wait no, they don't call things anti-blah. well, whatever. when they start talking about attributes, then you know they're talking about the attribute system. though they could be less ambiguous and not use the word 'invincible' when talking about attributes.
-
Anti-head means invincibility against moves with only(?) the head attribute. It won't matter how deep you land your attack, if it's a head attack then it'll whiff against a move with anti-head. Traditional invincibility is just rearranging the hitboxes around. So something that is upper body invincible means that there is no hitbox to hit some where around the upper body of the character. Think HDR's hitbox display mode, if you ever played that game.

Wrong. ABA has two pairs of pants.

oh, Mulligan is still around. good shit

I heard something about how a certain someone, who I've told for a straight year to learn how to combo Johnny, fought a Johnny and lost 'cause he couldn't finish the combo that would of won him the set. And also Xaq sweeping some people I know, with Dizzy.

Sol's j.D doesn't knockdown and it works the same way any other combo works. Have you given it a try in training mode or at least looked at the youtube vids?
-
Reread the first page. There's a whole video full of dustloops and right before your post that you deleted is a link to a guide. Dustloop is possible in XX, and is easier to do.

"Your sins lay heavy upon you, defiler of souls!" :randomexplode:

She's not Slash Order-Sol, yet. Not in till someone figures out a way to turn a lucky counter-hit into an over 50% life combo. She's looking more like Slash Robo-Ky. Play solid, and whelp, keep playing solid for like 20 more exchanges.

New sticks and buttons? Maybe you're sitting in a different chair? New shoes?!

CT had a stupid buffer? The only thing I remember being weird with CT inputs was the lack of negative edge. Does CS have negative edge, or are the subtle things you're feeling a result of (what looks like from sitting in my recliner watching videos on the internet) better flowing matchups?

by the way guys, if you feel like saving everyone else the trouble of hunting through a video for the start of a match, append #t=???m???s to the end of youtube links to have the the video skip to the indicated time. for example, take this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxnpoGrcL6g and add "#t=2m38s" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxnpoGrcL6g#t=2m38s
