    Slayer AC match vids

From here on, you shall be known as: More Carcass Raid.
  2. I think Johnny moved a bit over to the left.

    [AC] Johnny vs Robo-Ky

Dust is his only standing overhead. A very fast one at that, but still his only one. Then there's his tkFB stuff. Horsey can crossup if done as oki, ala CE Bison's Psycho Crusher, maybe that's why it's hitting you?

    [AC] Johnny vs Eddie

... KJ(frc), iad.K-S-D>Ensenga for the 1-hit instead? Sure, if you wanna start up a thread for cross-ups and stuff, go for it. No need to wait for us mods.

    [AC] Johnny vs Bridget

lol, randomly 6P'ing and throwing coins is what I do too. Is he hitting you when you dash or in between your moves? Even between a level 1 MC and a HardSlash he should only just barely have enough time to get out a Punch. If he's hitting you during your dashes, then yeah, everyone can do that to ya. You'll just have to vary it more. Like, next time you would dash, don't dash and throw out something, like 6P or coin. Off a LMF2, 8j.S>dj.S-HS>KJ(frc) HS>DB, will setup the usual. But Bridget can delay his wakeup and has a DP, so you might not want to do the usual. For the lighter cast, I just do the biggest combos I can pull. Since the lighter cast also tend to take more damage and dizzy easier.
  6. Dust and Ensenga are your only two standing overheads, and one isn't even a standing move. Kick or Slash, after the tkKJ(frc), for most cases.
  7. It was just a bug with the training dummy back then. In AC, the training dummy will properly block the "unblockable." Last I heard, anyways. I don't play chars with high+low unblockables, so it's all second hand to me.
  8. scrub
  9. I have never seen so many May's at a tournament in my life. What the fuck West Coast, what the fuck? Where are all the Sol's? Brothers, represent!
  10. I lied. I always do tkEnsenga.

Faust has to hit with a coin to do Atomic Fire Chop.
  12. I've actually started recording a couple of my more exotic tech-traps. That was like a few weeks ago during a lull in my school work. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to it soon.

    [AC] Johnny vs Slayer

Slayer has an awesome array of anti-airs at his disposal. Not to mention they're fast and safe. Be careful.

    [AC] Johnny vs Venom

With or without balls, it's hard to approach an astute Venom from the air. Venom's 6P is quite good. It has a surprising amount of vertical reach, hits behind him too. General rule of thumb, not just against Venom, is to block low till you see the overhead. Venom also has some nasty fuzzy-guard setups that you kinda just have to guess on, or DAA/Burst before it hits you. Really gotta be more frugal with your JackHounds in this game. Can't go blowing 25% meter every time Venom blinks. If you're close enough to Jackhound Venom, then you're also close enough to just dash up and kick him. But if there's a wall of balls in front of you, then ya, go for the JackHound. I handle the start of rounds in the same way I handle it vs Eddie, with patience and a watchful eye. Except you got a lot more leeway in this matchup, since losing the momentum to Venom is just annoying, instead of round-ending.
  15. I start every match with thought.
  16. when you got no other choice, you might as well try
  17. it's possible. though successfully blocking a high+low unblockable is a feat in itself, since you basically have to guess if the high is going to hit first or if the low is going to hit first. and that's not even getting in to the ones that have multiple highs or lows.

    hidden moves in ac

yes i am quite fond of it
  19. Various tech-traps are still available to Johnny, just like in previous XX's. But like how sac'ing damage for the knockdown isn't always useful; always taking damage in lieu of the knockdown isn't always handy either. For example, a character like Potemkin traditionally always ends all his combos in a knockdown, which then feeds into his strong oki. But why might a Potemkin otg and go for a tech-trap instead? The same reason you might throw two coins instead of one. To mix it up. While Potemkin's oki is strong, it's also the same-old same-old, we've seen it all before. We all know how to get out of it, though difficult. When Potemkin is hitting you, in your mind you are prepareing yourself to deal with his oki. The combo's over, your down on the ground, watch for it, get ready for it.. oh- he otg'ed me, knee-jerk tech, get caught, lose round. Johnny can do a similar thing. You read a tell from your opponent, he's getting ready for the tech and is going to do something to me. Instead of giving him that tech and seeing what he's got up his sleeve, you take the tech away from him and give him a knockdown instead. Your opponent had a gameplan and you made him scrap it. Johnny's oki isn't too strong, but while he's coming up with a new plan, you might catch him with something simple. Whatever the case, a mid-screen 1-hit that leaves you a full screen apart can be a corner mist setup if you just do the same combo closer to the corner.
  20. Still works with Chipp. Works with Johnny too, if he has no coins
  21. So it doesn't get auto-pruned.
  22. Yeah, I guess trying to HCL Johnny's forward dash would involve some heavy anticipation. I've fought some I-No's that did it pretty well, but I've also murdered those same I-No's for the one time they misjudged. Risk/reward, in the end probably just better off not trying it till you were out of Johnny's range, if at all. Anyways I'm sure it's nice to see I-No totally dominate a match, but that video did about as much, to advance someone's knowledge of the matchup, as any combo video. That's really all I wanted to say and I guess I'm just repeating myself now. Just didn't want any fresh players misinterpreting the video. Sorry I can't offer much insight to the matchup. The amount of I-No's I've fought that could do a decent combo I can count on one stump. And the amount of matches I had with the guy, I can count on my balls. Reading back, I probably could of worded those last few sentences better. If you wanna know the opinion of some guy somewhere named bleed, he gave the matchup a whole half a point in I-No's favor, some half a year ago. So you got a half of a point of something going for ya. Here's a more informative video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Syk8w93DaQk
  23. Wow, that wasn't a fight. That was a beating. About the only matchup information you could gleam, from what little fight actually happened, is to use HCL to stuff Johnny's forward dash. Honestly, the Johnny player, and the Testament player, looked like they didn't know what the hell was going on.
  24. If I remember correctly, Sony of America has some sort of policy that requires the removal of foreign languages from a game before they'll approve it. Sometimes people can work around it by providing dual audio (if the game's architecture allows for it.) Sometimes proposing companies are big enough to force what they want by doing something like threaten to move a big name series to a different platform. Small players (Atlus) often have to remove or replace the Japanese audio.

    [AC] Johnny vs Robo-Ky

Yeah, Robo-Ky is a pretty heavy guy. You usually have to throw in an extra punch, kick, or close slash here and there to keep him from falling out.
