This has been in development for at least 5 years. I hope the long development is because they are bringing over all the existing characters. How disappointing it would be to have played a character for 10+ years and then get excited for a new GG, but then later hear your character isn't in.

What are the other venues the area currently has running that isn't Xanadu anyways? It's so hard to keep up with all these little venues now that everyone wants to use facebook. Coin-Up is the other one people keep talking about, that's in Waldorf right? I'm not sure what Jag is up to either. Oh wow, I just looked up where Bel Air MD is. You are definitely out of the major population centers of VA DC Baltimore. But you won't know if you've got any locals without making yourself know, so good for you for posting. For perspective, that's about the same distance I drive to get to Xanadu. No Mori this time.

Guilty Gear still gets play. Third Strike, not so much. For 3s, you'd have to prob hook up personally with the players. If they're stilling playing, not to sure about their status. I try to have GG at Xanadu every Friday. House sessions sometimes happen. Check first post, hi, welcome, etc. You may want to look into an EZ-Pass, otherwise getting to I-95 will be insane.
