  1. -6C has faster startup (nice) -Dancing Edge has less hitstun in standing/crouching characters. Wallbounce on CH (serious, wtf?) -6B now FC (nice, but usually only mashing people get CH/FC by 6B)
  2. Tao's 6B only combos without CH against a few characters. It's easier to combo against Hazama, but I also remember you can do it against Noel and Litchi.
  3. A-1 R-1 (Noel) A-2 Dora (Bang) A-3 F (Lambda-11) A-4 Senchou (Valkenhayn) B-1 Conan (Tsubaki) B-2 Kyaku (Carl) B-3 Keita (Makoto) B-4 A92 (Hakumen) B-5 Kazuhira (Taokaka) B-6 Tetsuwo (Jin) B-7 Gorou (Makoto) B-8 Akira (Tager) C-1 Izayoi Matoi (Taokaka) C-2 R-2 (Noel) C-3 Yoshiki (Lambda) C-4 Doritos (Makoto) C-5 Nagakura (Carl) D-1 Nezu (Bang) D-2 Galileo (Litchi) D-3 Tsukasa (Lambda) E-1 Eruo (Jin) E-2 Aoi (Hazama) E-3 Kiabui (Lambda) F-1 Joker (Valkenhayn) F-2 Wataru (Makoto) F-3 Ryouta (Makoto) F-4 Mio (Litchi)
  4. Doing j.C->2D->5D~6->j.C->9D->2D~C etc or j.C->5C->j.8D~A loop wouldn't be better?
  5. -In the beginning of the round, jumping back is your safest option. If you jump foward, j.C can punish Noel's 5C; -The basic of this matchup is hit-and-run; -Be careful about Noel's 6A and air throw as anti-airs; -Don't stay on the ground (is there any matchup that Tao wants to be on the ground? lol) -If you have to block Chain Revolver (Noel's Drive), block high and try to react to j.6D (low) -You can punish 2D on block using 5B. The only way Noel can avoid this is using Spring Raid, but if you block you can punish it; -Against Noel's oki (and basically against any char), you can do 1ABC->delay->6AB if you have meter. The 1ABC part will block->CA if she attacks and break throws. If she delay the throw for a Throw Reject Miss, the 6AB will do a 6B that will punish the throw; -5B, 6A and 6C defeats Noel's 2D, however she still can punish the 6C with 5D. -6A defeats 4D if you are close enough The 1ABC->6AB tricky is very useful, good to know about it. edit: credits - Nikki for helping me translating it. Once again, everything that you help me to translate, I'll use against you :3
  6. 1) The best option still would be dash->5B->3C->combo. But even without CH, you have enough time to do this. 2) Don't use only 2D~B, otherwise you'll get obvious. Start doing 5D~A (you have lots of options after this if you hit); 5C->JC->j.B; 214D; 5C->236CC, etc. If your opponent get used to 2D~B->j.C, you can also do 2D~B->...->2A->5B->6A. 3) Didn't really understand the question, but if you are too far for 3C you still can use 6A to continue the combo. Go for the resets when you hit lows/6B or you are too far even for 6A.
  7. I think he meant "when they decided to make XDest a mod, I thought he would be a great choice". XDest posts in Netplay General Thread, so it's not like he's not posting anymore or appearing just a few times. Edit: Anyway, I don't think the forum needs 2 mods at all since this forum is...you know...dead as fuck. Just tell XDest to do his job, if he don't...well, then people choose a new mod.
  8. @Domethieus: I don't even know why TaoFTW is still a mod...he hasn't done a thing for the Tao forum after CT. In CS1, Ronove and XDest did most of the work. @Ronove: I think j.D it's fine, it was way too good in both damage and range. The only reason that Tao is still my main is because I REALLY feel unconfortable playing with other characters because I got too used with Tao mobility. Valkenhayn wolf form is almost next to that, but for some reason I didn't like Valk that much. Kokonoe playable would be the only thing that could make me drop Tao, but even so I think I won't lol. If the next BB is something like CT->CS1 with system changes instead of a basic update like CS2, I really hope they change the same-move proration system into something else. While I think it really helped to balance the game more (even though some moves lack it like Hazama's 6C), it's something that limits the player creativity and some characters combo potencial.
  9. B-4: A92 (Hakumen) Next weekend we'll have D-3 (GO EKI-CHAN!...Uisura is fine too), A-3, B-6 and F-1 qualifiers and those are the last japanese spots for SBO.
  10. It's Dora, you can check it on the SBO topic on BBS.
  11. I already said this in the CS2 discussion thread and I'm going to say again, don't take this matchup chart serious...it has a lot of bullshit like Hazama Vs Tager matchup being the same as Hazama Vs Tsubaki/Rachel or Makoto Vs Litchi (there are a lot more to list). However, you can pretty much say that Tao has even/good matchup against most of the cast. I would say she only has bad matchups against Rachel and Jin...and it's something like 4.5-5.5 matchups. @NeoGio0o: sorry, but...I didn't really understand your question
  12. See it like this: -Tao CS2 plays EXACTLY like Tao CS1, but with a limited j.D and 214D crossing-up (the new j.B doesn't make a difference except being able to combo after Hexa-Edge) -Tao new BnB (aka j.8D~A loop) is damn boring and simple. I even found taunt loop fun, but I really can't say the same about j.8D~A loop. -While Tao CS2 is definitely easier and more confortable to play, DE having same-move proration limits her combo potencial too much and you are stuck in one BnB + AB2. Even in CS1 with taunt loop you could do some other combos (like 1 or 2 taunts + 22C) with similar damage. Of course, none of those things make Tao worse or anything like that. She's still damn good and basically don't have any really bad matchup (at most 4.5-5.5 Vs Rachel and Jin). However I think she's kinda boring to play now since she feels the same as CS1 but even more limited.
  13. I freaking love fish dishes, specially salmon with pepper....wait, what? You really didn't have anything better to ask? :V Oh well, this forum is getting more and more dead each day anyway. Even though it's kinda understandable that Tao it's pretty boring now and that people are starting to lose interest on her.
  14. LOL! Sorry, I also did this post for the brazilian community and I forgot to translate that to english. It means back to the coner (it's portuguese anyway)

  16. Super Update! Sorry for taking so much time for this, but I'm pretty busy IRL...and the free time I had in those last weeks I used to rest and play Blazblue/Infamous 2 . However, since I have 4 days holyday I decided to update the thread. The first post is totally updated with (almost) every Tao match since the CS2 release and here the videos from those weeks that I didn't post (~30 videos lol): Vs Arakune: BLOOK Vs VER Pezu Vs tsucchi ^ Vs Carl: ???   17. Heat Gain from the most used setups (+some setups that I didn't post before): (j.C/j.B)5B->3C->236CC->5D~A->j.8D~A (5x) - 49% *3x if you use j.C/j.B (j.C/j.B)->5B->3C->236A->5D~B->5C->j.8D~A (4x) – 45% *3x if you use j.C/j.B 6A->j.8D~A (6x) – 40% (j.C/j.B)5B->6A->j.8D~A (5x) - 39% *4x if you use j.C/j.B 6B->22C->5D->RC->6A->j.8D~A (3x) – 29% 6B CH->5B->6A->j.8D~A (3x) - 36% 6B+C->j.4D~A->5D~A->5C->j.8D~A (2x) – 42% 4B+C->22C->5C->j.8D~A (2x) – 36% j.B+C->5D~B->5C->j.8D~A (4x) - 43% 6C->5D~B->5C->j.8D~A (6x) - 45% 2D CH->4D~B->5C->j.8D~A (7x) - 46% j.D~B->5C->j.8D~A (5x) - 40% Gold Burst->5D~B->5C->j.8D~A (5x) - 42% j.C CH air-to-air->5C->j.8D~A (7x) - 44% (4447) j.B CH air-to-air->j.8D~A (7x) - 42% (4363) j.4D~A->dash->5B->3C->236A->5D~B->5C->j.8D~A (4x) – 46% (4295) j.4D~B air-to-air ->5C->j.8D~A(10x) - 53% (5073) ps: for each j.8D~A you don't do, decrease 2~3% from the Heat Gain.
  18. I came back after a while, my PC got a problem and I only could visit the forum using a PC in my school. And I kinda agree with Domethieus, the loop is very easy to get into and it doesn't need a video just for it. I think it would be better to do a video that contains general strategy, most used blockstrings, mix/cross-ups, mindgames, TRM setups and etc. This is something that I think the Tao forum is lacking a bit. ps: I'll update the video thread this weekend, sorry for taking so much time.
  19. AB2->5C->236C->236C->6C->etc. I think you might need 2 gold bursts
  20. I was going to post it later...but whatever. The only thing is that the chart I saw listed Tao Vs Hazama as 5-5, everything else is the same. So...all Tao bad matchups are all by 0.5 :V
  21. *stay busy all day *return home *go to PS3 to play some Blazblue *nobody online *go to training mode to test impractical shit 2[C] FC->6[C]->2[C] FC->5D~B->5C->j.8D~A [6x]->2D~C->Gold Burst (2x)->AB2->5C->236C->236C->6C->7JC->Cat2->8JC->Cat2->8JC->Cat2 [7811] Good combo video material :33
  22. If you can the loop already, I don't see how doing the complete finisher would be hard at all. However, if it's easier for you not to drop and the damage difference isn't bad, then I think it's fine. Edit: fixing a AB2 combo that I wrote wrong: ... -> j.D~B -> 5C -> 236C x1 -> 6C -> 6C -> 8HJC -> 236B x5 -> 8JC -> 236B x5 -> 8JC -> 236B x5 *Rag/Carl/Bang/Lit/Tao/Haz/Noel specific This combo is supposed to use 236C x1 two times, not only one. So the correct version would be: ... -> j.D~B -> 5C -> 236C x1 -> 236C x1 -> 6C -> 6C -> 8HJC -> 236B x5 -> 8JC -> 236B x5 -> 8JC -> 236B x5 *Rag/Carl/Bang/Lit/Tao/Haz/Noel specific Also, other AB2 setup: Coner: Gold Burst->AB2->...->5C->236C->236C->6C->etc [~4000]
  23. It's the same thing, you just need to delay the last j.9D after the j.C. How much you need to delay depends on what character you are doing it, usually you need to delay it more against Jin and Hazama
  24. You could have posted in the Tao CS2 general thread :V. Whatever, I also tried in a few matches and it didn't work. I think it's because her 4B+C isn't cancelable on anything now.
  25. I was watching some new videos in nico and I noticed a Tao doing j.8D~B instead of 2D~B. It's a much faster cross-up overhead since j.8D~B doesn't fly as high as 2D~B. The only bad part is that this cross-up is only possible after a jump cancelable move (that means 6A, 5B and 5C)
