Well...I don't think that the oki version is that good...too much risk of dropping it for a oki like that. Anyway, the 6B+C AB2 setup is annoying. I don't know if it's because I'm not used to the stick, but doing j.4D~A->AB2->5B is kinda hard since you have little time to use AB2. But after that, it's pretty easy.
-
I...don't really know. I never see any player doing it...I think purple throw resets are better and more pratical to do :V
-
Just some sugestions, I think it should be better to put all the j.8D~A combos first since they are the most important part and put all stuff that isn't so important in the end (like AH/8k combos). Also I think there's no need to put the notes about each combo in (don't remember how do you say it in english lol), I think it's better without it. For last, I think the AB2 season should be a little more organized in setups (like I did in my last post), you don't repeat so much stuff. Of course, you don't need to do what I sugested, after all you are the one responsible for the thread organization and you should do what you think it's better.

Alright, I have been testing the new midscreen AB2 combos and here are some notes: The combos 7, 8 and 9 are hard as hell LOL, and they looked the easiest setup to do midscreen. For real, dashing 236A is difficult to do in a pratical way, the easiest way is to dash before the 5B->3C. After that, a lot of times the (5D~6->)j.D~6 will miss...I tried this setups a lot of times against a lot of charancters and I only got it once against Bang. However, the combos 1 and 2 are actually kinda easy once you get it. Against every character that this setup is possible, I recommend to do the combo 2 because hitting 5C->236C->236C->6C is much easier than 5C->236C->6C. The only tricky part about this setup is the j.D, since 5D won't work most of times and you need to do the j.D at a very very very very low height. The easiest way I found to do it is doing 236985D or 6985D a little before the AB2 is over. Of course, you can do also do 85D...but I found the 236985D/698D easier somehow. Also even though in the combo 2 says to dash before 5C, you don't need to. It may seem hard at first, but after some pratice it's actually pretty simple. Vs Bang only do a 8HJC instead of 8JC. I didn't test the combos 3, 4 and 5. EDIT: just to confirm, the combos 1 and 2 work after 2A->2A->3C EDIT2: lol, the 5D~C->j.5D~B is even easier. There's no secret, just delay the 5C a little after the j.5D~B.

Yeah...usually you only get a 3C->236A combo after a j.C/j.2B->dash combo, from other setups it's usually pretty hard to. Btw, the purple throw resets are awesome :3
-
Like I said in the combo thread, they usually do 1 j.8D~A less (even in coner) because the last j.8D~A is kinda tricky to hit and it only adds like...70~100dmg.

Yep, all they are AB2 combos. You can see them in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiUUCnIV23E&feature=feedu If you are interested in notes, here the original nico link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm14497633 The 214214C combos: 214214C->6A->JC->j.236Bx5 [3522] 214214C->22C->2C~C->j.9D->3D->j.236Bx5 [3730]

It's sad that CH j.2B doesn't have much untechable time like CH j.C. If you are too high when you hit a j.2B CH, do a j.8D~A already can keep looping. Also being able to do ...->j.D~B->5B->5C->j.D~B(->5B->5C->j.D~B) on crouching characters is awesome, you have a lot of optins after this. You can dash->4B+C, dash->2D~B->j.C, try a 6B->j.D~B and do it again. I love it :3 Arrgg...Day 3 on stick and I already want to throw it on the wall :V. I'm screwing up so much in my pressure and some basic things. Also fuck Arakune and Bang, you have to do 6C->6C->HJC->etc to the AB2 finisher work when I'm always doing it wrong on the stick :V Good luck, Ronove

Not going to post the AB2 combos today because I was studying all day...and used my last hour of the day playing CS2 Also one thing to note about the loop when dashing, watch carefully the distance between you and your opponent. If you are too close, the j.D after the 2D~C will miss or send the opponent flying to the other side. So, in most of setups, I recommend not to do the last dash. In some cases, like 6A or j.C CH->5C, you may have to do less dashes if you are too close or more dashes if you are too far. ps: I love doing j.C CH combos for ~4,2k

Oh...I see. Indeed, we need one...this thread is almost becoming it :V

I think the "Taokaka Continuum Shift II Changes/General Thread" it's already a general thread :V @AxlRed: Be sure you are not repeting ANY drive move except j.8D in your combos. Also, against some character, you have the delay the last 9D a little after the j.C to the Cat2 hit it fully. Also I'm going to post later new AB2 finishers that they posted in BBS and that appears in the new combo movie. However, I would like to add credits to Nikki from HitConfirm in the first post since he helped me a lot translating notes (character specific stuff) and combos since CS2 is out, I really don't have words to thank all the hard work he has done until now...so at least I want credits in the first page with his name.
-
Like I said in the first post, the combo thread is listing only the max reps, but in most of setups it's recommended to use 1 or 2 j.8D~A less. After a j.C->5B->3C->236CC, I would recommend only 3 or 4 in a real match.
-
Cat1 = 236A Cat2 = j.236B Cat3 = 236CC
-
The onlys setups that I really dash in during her loop are j.C/j.2B CH->5C->loop, 2D CH, anything->3C->RC and j.B+C (I like seeing +4000 dmg ) and 6C (because it's fucking easy). All the other setups it's better not risk, specially j.C->5B->3C->236A (serious, it's like the hardest setup ever to dash for 70dmg) Also thx for the link, Ronove :3 Oh, and the j.C/j.2C CH combo: j.C/j.B CH->(dash)->5C->j.8D~A loop (4x)->finisher with Cat2 (1hit)->3D->Cat2 (full) [4126] You can the the loop 6x for 4336, but I think this one is more pratical midscreen.
-
I would say whatever is easier for you. I'm kinda forcing myself to learn the stick because I spent some money (and burned myself) to build it.
-
I used a pad in CS1 because doing taunt loop in the stick was a hell, but I changed to the stick in CS2 because I found the combos easier on it...however, my first non-training day in CS2 was a totally failure because even though I can do her combos, I'm still not used to play Tao in the stick and I'm screwing up a lot in a lot of things (specially my pressure) ...but I think I'll get used to it after some time playing @Ronove: fuck..you...can't...resist...megane...and boobies . I think he meant 236CC as an overhead lol. I don't think you can combo 236CC after anything miscreen with the exception of 6C CH. Against some characters it's kinda annoying doing it...so against those characters it's better doing this combo: 236CC->2D~9->2D~C->j.C->6D->j.C->9D->j.C->9D->3D->Cat2 [~3.3k]
-
I dash in every setup because it's cool :3 Near coner oki combos: 6A (1hit)->5D~C->j.D~B->land->5C->9JC->j.C->Cat2 (1hit)->3D->Cat2 3C->236A->5D~C->j.D~B->land->5C->9JC->j.C->Cat2 (1hit)->3D->Cat2 j.C->5B->3C->etc does ~3100 j.C->5B->6A->etc does ~2600 2A->2B->6A->etc does ~1700 @shirohane: it's just like that, j.8D~A->66->JC->j.8D~A
-
Never tested if you can "cheat" it, but you are supposed to dash between every j.8D~A in most cases (some setups like 4B+C you don't even need to). But like I said in my other post, the only setups that really makes difference if you dash or not are Drive CH, 6C and 3C starter (j.C/j.2B CH air-to-air->5C maybe). I do it dashing after every j.8D~A since I'm already used to it and it's not difficult at all...but it's kinda fine if you can't do it, you just have to do less j.8D~A
-
6C fully charged does wallbounce midscreen...but like you said, it's completly impractical unless you guard break your opponent...but guard breaking with Tao is almost impossible.
-
Hun...dunno. You shouldn't have problems at all if you already can do it after a 6A. Hold 9 after the first j.8D~A and press D~A when your opponent stops spinning and start to fall....that's how I do it.
-
That combo doesn't work anymore because 2D have same-move proration:v: I recommend you training the loop now since you already know the basic of Tao lol. Try doing challenge 8, it's pretty much what you have to do in a j.8D~A loop without dashing and it's pretty easy if you are already used to Tao...except he could have done 1 more repetition, but whatever. Without dashing and miscreen, do 3 j.8D~A after 6A, 2 or 3 after j.C->5B->3C and 2 after air throw. I think it's the best way to start training it.
-
If you could do taunt loop in CS1, I think even you can do j.8D~A loop without dashing, Rin . For real...if you can do a 2D~C or a j.8D~C, the loop shouldn't be hard at all.

Thx Ronove :3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bLndOOzyFU So hard to believe that Kazuhira qualified lol
