  1. What would "help" entail? I'd be willing to test stuff out. I was planning on trying to make an "optimal confirms" post at some point in the future when I had the time.
  2. Sounds like a great idea Huey. Lmk if i can help
  3. Stream is live: www.twitch.tv/roku_b
  4. I've procrastinated with it to the point that I can just wait until after tomorrow to update it
  5. @Xie: Let me start off by saying that this is a very excellent thread and thanks for all the hard work. That being said, I have a question for you: Which do you think is a more accurate way of creating a tier list: character analysis or by a matchup chart? From my understanding, tier lists are generated in one of two ways: 1) character potential and analysis or 2) matchup chart. For the most part, creating a tier list for a game using one method will result in a similar tier list created using the other method; however, it is highly likely that there will be some differences somewhere in the tier list. Both methods have potential flaws. By analyzing character potential, it requires people's opinions to be put together to attempt to form a consensus. It is not only difficult to do so, but it also isn't easy to compare multiple characters when each character of the cast has a unique style of gameplay (strictly BB speaking). When using a matchup chart, certain characters results can be skewed in the case of a really bad/good matchup. BB has a relatively small cast of characters, so these skewed results can affect a character's position in the tier list more. Personally speaking, I've always been a fan of matchup chart based tier lists. While they may lack information, well made tier lists generated this way critically evaluate every matchup. What I especially like is the fact that I can put a number on things and see key differences more easily.
  6. hmmm... i'm having a lot of trouble landing combos on lambda. anyone have any idea why?
  7. I was always under the impression that outside of Japan, there was a maximum of two Tao players per country and I'm okay with this.
  8. Midscreen: 6A (2 hits) -> JC -> j.8D~A -> land -> j.C -> j.8D~A -> 2D~5 -> j.9D~5 -> j.6D~6 -> j.C -> j.9D~9 -> j.3D~3 -> j.236BBBBB [3067] Midscreen to corner: 6A (1 hit) -> 5D~6 -> j.D~A -> 6C -> 236CC -> 2D~9 -> j.C -> j.9D~C -> j.9D~9 -> j.3D~3 -> j.236BBBBB [3201] This also works midscreen to corner, but I haven't done it yet so I don't know the exact damage: 6A (1 hit) -> 5D~5 -> j.2D~5 -> j.C -> j.D~A -> 6C -> 6C -> 236CC -> 2D~9 -> j.C -> j.9D~C -> j.9D~9 -> j.3D~3 -> j.236BBBBB [~3500]
  9. Yeah, the combo Rin posted actually does 2560 so it's better than the one i posted lol
  10. As XYZ said, it's not as difficult as originally thought. you just have to wait until the last few frames before jump canceling. i've been getting it pretty consistently now. confirming it is another story though.. j.D~B -> land -> 66 -> 2D~5 -> j.6D~6 -> j.C -> j9D~9 ->j.2D~C -> j.C -> j.9D~9 -> j.3D~3 -> j.236BBBBB [2537] Yes. You can also slightly delay the cancel on your 4D (which I find easier to do). Tried them both. Can't get the fist one to work after the 5C. The second one work if you do 6A (CH) -> JC -> j.D~B -> .. -> 5C -> JC -> j.B -> j.D~A -> 6C -> ender, but you need to cut the ender short (2D~9 -> j.3D~3 -> j.236BBBBB [2544]). i can get up to the 6C part without CH, but haven't been able to get past that. Even getting to the 6C without a CH is very tight and inconsistent. Doesn't seem viable for damage because you can get 3k off a non-CH 6A with a much easier confirm. Hope this helps

  15. Alright, my awesome friend let me borrow his ps3 and CSX. if anyone wants things tested, let me know and i'll try them out this weekend if i have time
  16. I'd say counterassault if more useful for when your opponent is spacing their moves well such as ragna's 5B or dead spike rather than the up close moves like 2As and 5As. Admittedly, this makes the CA much worse, but at least I still feel like it will be effective at a farther range
  17. Also, random sidenote: I believe that 6C's hitbox is only on her hands now. If you do the corner combo with 6C -> 4D~A -> 6C, it is possible to do that second 6C too quickly and the opponent will fall "through" Taokaka's arms. This also explains why her CA has gotten worse. The hitbox got smaller
  18. I can do this, and use it when I hit a 6A AA or something like that, but because 5B-> 6A doesn't work anymore, most of the time I have to do something like 5B -> 3C -> bowling ball or 5B -> 5C -> 3C (2 hits) -> 236A (x ?) -> 5D~x. Both of which have terrible damage. Edit: I also have no clue how to multiquote in one post without using too much effort of copying and pasting
  19. What Riku said. I haven't tried it on most of the cast since I've only played for about 4 hours, but I guarantee it works on Ragna because I've done it.
  20. i'm currently getting absolutely terrible damage midscreen and have resorted back to CS2 combos for now. i can only play the game at a friend's house right now, but once US version is released, i'll be grinding those new combos
  21. It's a very awkward jump cancel timing. don't really know how to explain it as i've only hit it very very few times. i know for sure it is possible on ragna though. also, you can only cancel 2B -> 5B or vice versa once per string it seems
  22. Anyone have the full results for BB?
  23. What time will u be getting in? I'll be at our local arcade, Fun Works, located in Ala Moana Shopping Center (you can google it) from around 4:30 PM to 8 PM tomorrow. I'll also probably be there on Saturday for the morning/early afternoon depending if we get an upgrade to one of our music games or not. Unfortunately, a lot of our scene's members are going on vacations and such for Christmas break, but there's still some of us around. The best time to catch me would be this weekend though. Hope to get to meet you. If you have any questions/need help with directions or something, just ask!
