  1. Hehe chunli1 true Just doing it all for laughs I know it will be a blast and the competition will be hard, but I hope and think that my teams has that which takes to win! But now, with you german-ppl, joe and coung and the champ/kekken its gonna be tough. Looking forward to see all you guys again! And to all of you I haven't met yet, I'm looking forward too it!! --- TOO FAMOUS BAYBEE! Edit: Joe Higashi-quote at sbo???
  2. A heartwarming quotes from the SVB'08-thread at the brittish-forum: We will do our best to make it the most awesome tournament ever! I hope you all will help us by taking part of the hype during matches And another quote, just because seems like someone knows shit: See you all at Showdown3!!! Edit: SVB'08 is a event held during the same weekend as S3IS and has one gg-tournament (1on1).
  3. Hellmonkey I wont! This time, I intend to be sober for all tournaments and with my new stick I can actually hit tk yzn-solid. I will show you my (almost) true STRENGTH and become the official Best Baiken of Europe. / That Strong Baiken-player of the Northern Countries Edit: lols, reading my post it kinda I didn't really emphasise it enough. Let me be clear: Europe sucks, Sweden rules, and the results will prove this. Booyakasha!
  4. 6P or 2S if she attacks from the air. Block her strings, blocking baiken is easy, only mixup is tkyzn and she needs to be close for that one. Close = she has to get in. If you have let baiken get in on you, you have failed using 6P and 2S. Ouren-bait = jumpcancel random shit. Its safe on whiff etc. Walk forward. If you attack from the air, do the airnormals low to the ground, that way it is counterproof OR bait counters with a high-above-ground jHS to orb, 5K is counterproof, bait shit. 2S is jumpcancellable, bait shit. Your throwrange beats her flat out, learn the spacing for it and baiken has to jump to avoit it. Baiken cant counter in the air and if you are close enough to actually be able to throw, you are in a better position than baiken. If you are somewhat near decent, you will only need two hits -> combo to win. So bait shit or just get a mixup. Dont be afraid to use tension to RC and FRC-shit. you only need 25% to tp 70%damage on baiken, just bait that shit. If you do all this correctly, the only thing baiken can do is run away all day = you have nothing to fear.
  5. fucking awesome!! I just got hyped even MORE! I heard good things about you guys from Caer, and i'm looking forward to play you AND talk with you! If you excuse me, im heading over to Sparta to play some casuals with Yonasu and Caer

  9. Nice vids. You guys should come to Showdown 3 in Stockholm and face of with the scandinavian-community. http://www.bitterharmony.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&p=43165#p43165
  10. I will stop catching colds and partying the day before ranbats from now on. But I did do the most cocky-thing of us all though.
  11. It's not really that useful. It can mostly be applied for pseudo-ghetto-frametraps and if they block like a iad jHS and you are pretty high up in the air. In those kind of situations you can use the yzn frc to 1. Avoid getting punnished 2. Frametrap jK/jP after it 3. If they block the "frametrap" you can keep pressuring. and if it hits 1. yzn frc jP -> combo 2. yzn rc -> combo It's not really that useful, but it has some kind of flash/ghetto-use. And I like to flash so I try to use it, more effectively now than before. ---------------- In combos its only real function in a real match-scenario, would be that you somehow managed to random a midair jHS-hit / counterhit. In such a situation you can yzn frc to jP/jPjD -> combo depending on hit/counterhit and position in air and if you have an airdash left or not. Once again, very situational stuff. I would say ALL other uses in combos are just pointless flash and should be reserved for combovids only. ------------ And dont use tk yzn frc as a high-mixup from the ground, you're much better off just doing a tkyzn rc->combo, for MUCH better damage and 25% more tension. ------------ Maruken-dash is awesome though. Master it: tk yzn 6 frc 6 -> supahlowairdash yo~ :toot: from 5S, fS, 2D. ---------------- That is all for my info about semi-useful stuff with yzn frc. The rest of my secrets I will keep for myself. Your pretty much better off not using it at all though, if you dont wanna be Awesome:roboky: .
  12. The 27th of January at Lund we at the GuiltyGear.se will host the first round of the joined ranbat-season of GBG (gothenburg) and LUND. Top players from the southern part of Sweden will rally to find of who is the biggest cheese of 2008. If you happen to be interested in participating, feel free to contact us! Rules No characterswap allowed Best of 3 matches all the way, first a round-robin to decide the seeds for the single-elimination brackets. 20:- ante, winner takes all. Free for non Swedes, of course! If you are not going to participate, you will at least get to enjoy some entertaining vids filled with viking-hype (hype too fierce for the timid to watch). Stay tuned for results and vids! ATM 13confirmed participants. (Edit: thx Nukleus. of course I meant January)
  13. this should of course not be used on characters with catch-moves/parry/anything, cause its pretty much a freebie for them since it is easy to react to because one can only specialcancel after 5HS and if your opponent actually knows shit and has a catch move, they will use this against you! So 5Hs -> Kabari vs ex. Testament is a big nono, unless your opponent sucks or if you want to burn 50% tension for a warrent-bait, but its seldomly worth it with warrent having an frc and all. Faust can IB and run under it. PO can like FB-Judgegauntlet it I think... anyways, its not a safe option to do it from 5HS vs alot of characters. But go for the bullshit if it works for you I guess... Point is, if they know shit, they should be able to see the kabari coming a mile away and punish it accordingly. About Tatami-frc, like Hellmonkey said, there is not actually to much to capitalize. A quick dash-2D or just 2D directly after the frc can work as a frametrap if they try to jump without fd or spamm some random move. After they have started fearing the frametrap, you can get away with bullshit like the things Agile wrote down. On a not really related note, have you guys noticed that doing 5P 2K-okizeme owns reversal-backdashes? And if you hitconfirm the 2K (which hits, unless they are like PO or whatever) you can with ease go in to 5S jump -> combo. Just a quick pointer if some of you guys have problem with backdash-reversals and wants a option-select- kind of okizeme. (you all probably know of the basic mixups etc. so I wont bother writing about that). Start playing things safe, frametraps, tickthrow, and when you have set up your "fear", go for the baits and bullshitzz. But when you play like at an arcade, you seldomly play long enough to establish the "fear" so you have to get a feel on your opponent. But we all play agains the same people almost everytime so you just have to keep doing the fear/safe-cycle all the time. (long time no baiken-related post, lol)
  14. Not as hype as the saturday-tournaments, but better play. 17. 2k/5p -> 6K -> 2HS[jumpOr5p] / 5HS[kabari/tatami] /tatami is also options for what to do when you are up close. if you just wanted some "new shit" for your blockstrings :V Seldomly worth it though. 2K/5P 6K is nice though imo.
  18. What Yonasu meant to say was: OMFG ITS MATCHVIDS FROM SWE TOP-GG EVENT!!!!!!!!!!!! http://guiltygear.se/content/view/49/1/ http://guiltygear.se/content/view/49/1/ http://guiltygear.se/content/view/49/1/ http://guiltygear.se/content/view/49/1/ http://guiltygear.se/content/view/49/1/ http://guiltygear.se/content/view/49/1/ !!!!! ITS SPOILER FREE SO WATCH AND ENJOY FULLY!!!!!!! (and dont get scared off by the bigteam-vids. jump to #3 if you wan to se yonasu etc.)
  19. sämst kåmbos, icke godkänt på dom
  20. Well, I decided to go ghetto. Like, that was the first time I played guilty for like a month or so, and at casuals before the ranbat I played only May :P But yeah, once I get more time I´ll learn AC-Baiken and not play that ghetto-ass-style But for now i´m satisfied with just having fun and will go for the ghetto. Nice ranbat guys, see you next week! And the week after that its the Swedish Guilty-Gear/melty-tournament Showdown in Lund so expect vids from that too!
  21. because he posted the SBO-vids probably. his own fault.
  22. Hellmonkey god damn! Get that O up or I´ll slap you!
  23. http://gamechariot.com/g3_070814_ex.html 「Just blasting that fafnir」 Kaqn(OR) VS Kami-chan(SL) 「From now on, Mugen-turn has startet」 Mugen(BR) VS DIE-chan(AB) 「Blue, oh the scenery is blue」 Mugen(BR) VS Kabegiwa no DC(JO) 「Who said buri was a weak-character?」 Lit(KY) VS Mugen(BR) 「When you watch this, one might actually think AC is a good game」 Lit(KY) VS Mugen(BR)
  24. Haha, well I haven´t had too much for AC-playing so I still cant handle all the confirms/combos. But my sense is OK I guess. I adapt quite quickly so If the start punishing my shit I´ll stop, I like doing bullshit too much though I haven´t learned the 2K 5S jD frc ad-tatami combo yet, but I´m going to start doing 2k 5S jD after landing from an air-pressure-string so I can get the knockdown. Soo alot of the stuff you point out is because I still haven´t learned all the combos and analyzed what options are best. I just try to focus on playing at the moment, since I have to prioritize other stuff atm. But i´ll try too play more calmly next time. Thx for the tips though! I´ll have a look at those SoCal-ranbatvids and comment your stuff there (in that thread though). I think I heard something about Insufficiant O.
  25. Why would I get mad? I think everybody in Europe sucks after watching B3C-vids etc. Well, I just kinda did like we did last season and posted the vids in a thread here in the guilty-pleasures part of the forum. But I guess if the admin felt like it they could move it. But we will just post the vids and stuff like that in this thread so.
