  1. http://shinjin.rimfrozt.com/ stories of japan... read it! and comment it if you feel like it. Latest post is pretty rushed though... keke byebye gotta go!
  2. DIE-chan (I think) quite alot of pictures with Caer in them, some with Yonasu too!
  3. No. and you´re welcome
  4. it is safe but you can´t combo.big difference. maybe from a counterhit-sakura you can do something, but I dont think so. Point is that you should always frc sakura. FRC Sakura is the strength of sakura. 5k well.. it´s slower than both 5p and 2k. But it's hitbox is kinda whack so at least in slash you could use it to counter anjis "hop"-crossup-move and get a nicedamage combo. I haven´t battled any anji in AC so can´t say for sure. I have used it as a "setup" for 5D. If you´re always doing 5D after the same normals it will be easier for them to block, so that is one way of using it. But no, it´s not that good. Not bad either though. c.S is +1 on block, and it can be used in pressure. You´ll see alot of japanese players doing it. For example: okizeme, you run in, 2k c.5S, they FD. You then let the c.S recover and dash in. Throw or 2k. Thing is, if your opponent likes pressing buttons, this kind of "bullshit-pressure" wont work, since they can hit you before you reach them. You can stop a bit earlier and do like 2D/2S and hope it will either stuff their normal or jump and then hitconfirm whether it is airhit/counterhit etc. depending on what normal you used.
  5. on jam/may and other lights you have to delay the tatami after 2D otherwise they will be to high up for your combo to be valid. So try delaying the tatami after the 2d (just a little bit!). also, vs May you can 2k5s2d jD for a tensionlessknockdown towards the corner at midscreen.
  6. If you guys check out Vol.9 of Tougekidamashi you will find an article about Showdown 3. *proud of my hype and pr-skills*
  7. yes, when she is pressuring baiken with a summon out (like after a throw). Because Dizzy-players that know the matchup can throw all the counters on reaction because the fish will absorb the hit from the fish. And even if you frc sakura they can still throw it on reaction, cause she has good throwrange. Sometimes using ouren might get you out, but in my opinion that is only when the dizzy sucks. Of course, Dizzy cant play her usual oki on baiken, and because of that it is easier to block a dizzy playing anti-baiken-oki and rushdown. yeah, my bad on the j.2s. But still, if you counter it quickly you can get a aircounterhit. My brain just said it was 2 hits, but like rtl42 said it is only one. Deosnt change the fact though. ed: oh, one thing I forgot. Remember that your airtoair is superior. jP can stuff most of her airpokes if you dont do it in really stupid situations.
  8. The main thing when playing vs Dizzy that has yet to be said is that being on the ground is very important. Run in with fd'break footsies and poke with 2s. It has better priority and range than most of dizzys pokes that she might end up using. They might do icespike to try to punish your advance and that is why fdbreaking is very important. Hitconfirm 2s counterhit to tatami and then just combo her into knockdown and rushdown. Dizzy is pretty easy to rape. If you haven't killed Dizzy after two rushdown-oppurtunitys you have lost the match. If dizzy gets a summon out be very careful. 6p -> jumpcancel the fish if you dizzy is far away and the fish is close to you. 5p often whiffes etc. etc. Using this when dizzy is close is dangerous though. Because she just has to like... hit you. She has the advantage if she is close and has a summon out. Drysummon can be punished with iad jS (counterhit) -> tatami or jhs depending on what range and what mood your in, but i recomend tatami. So basically, footies with fd and 2s. Use well spaced kabaris. Just prevent her from getting that summon. Never attack from air cause her spike (not icespike) and 2s are stronger than everything. Punish drysummon (aka dizzy summoning without any protection, knockdown, etc). If you manage to keep dizzy from summoning you have won the match. Counters are pretty much useless, so you have to win this match with offense. j2s can be 6p most of the times, you can also baku for aircounterhit if you pull the baku off before the second hit for broken damage. I've played Nehle(di) and SDF(di) quite alot so I have a good idea how to play this matchup. ed: oh, and vs throw... 6k is good yup. 1fjump might also be an option. If he optionsselects into some kind of poke you probably will be able to punish it? Im not exactly sure what he is doing...
  9. 1. no it is not. if they fd the 6hs (as you are trying to space it away from a throw) you will be to far away since the jumpcancel is pretty late. its just a waste since you might as well just do 5p, 5s etc. etc. etc. 2. you cant if your opponent is close to decent. just block or maybe if you feel lucky like 2k o whatever. you cant combo.
  10. CROSSUP NAPALM DEATH!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNn7mY7dYaM TOO FAMOUS!!
  11. Well, im not saying you/we/whoever should write all matchups down. Im just saying a bit structure would be good instead of a thread with matchup-info since like #R or something. But whatever floats your boat.
  12. well, experience tells us that the same questions are asked 1000-times due to this thread being 39-pages long and scrubbies dont know how to search. I dont care though, im just bored.
  13. keep in mind that in midscreen you can do the normal dustcombo for more damage. but this aint really matchup-discussion, lets not make this to the slayer-forum okay? oh, and are we gonna get a subforum? this thread is like... not really that sorted out. maybe a subforum would be better for the scrubbies to learn from/fail at learning from?
  14. it can also be that you are to close to her. try spacing yourself a bit further away and it might solve those whiffed-combos. That and some j.K's should do the trick.
  15. still jK is no-prorate. Counters that you would be able to counter from also takes tension and has prorate. Not saying your way is bad though, it is also awesome.
  16. only to dodge and punish a DA from a meaty iad jHS
  17. Only seen the finals between Cuongster and Dream Maker, nice game guys. Nice to see some new vids with you Dream Maker, it seems that you would make Caer fight pretty hard to take the TE-#1-spot in europe How many players competed in the tournament? Can you namedrop some?
  18. mix it up, yes. but know your limits. yzn is very risky if you dont have 50%-tension. really easy to punish for big-damage.
  19. but hey, jHS has 80% prorate....
  20. Yo, been awhile! Since japan is failing at giving us some awesome vids, here are some less awesome swedish action from some random-team tournaments we had. Here are some of the best-bouts! Nehle vs Rensengeki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwYfubrl5CU Yonasu vs Rensengeki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NwmEDCHkBE Caer vs Svampen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEBHEtd-dW8 Dont forget to switch to HQ. Like, two more to come.
  21. he still lost 21 to 29 vs ogawa recently
  22. Good. Always aim to use as little tension as possible, since baiken is very tension-dependant.
  23. for more damage with tension: throw -> tatami frc jS jD dustloop best damage with no tension: throw -> tatami hihjump jp js jd dash js jd its in the 101-thread. oh, and throw -> overdrive is okay, since it is burstproof and does some damage. but do it only if it kills them
  24. suzuran is a big nono T_T baku i a better way to punish both badlans and gravedigger aswell. you can always sakura frc 6p, the only thing he can do against it is 6p -> warrent. Just learn the blockconfirm. use jP to clear nets, clearing nets being the main issue in this matchup. they screw up your combos and can fuck up your counters. blockconfirm certain attacks and counter them (ex. 6p), and always frc sakura, just incase he warrents your counter. jP is good air-to-air. you have to be good at zoning and spacing in this matchup. Testament can always combo your ass if you fail. kabari is a debatable, with good zoning it can be good, on the other hand he can warrent it on reaction on certain distances. Use it wisely and carefully. hs exe can be sakura'd for punnish if you are gosu-pro as me. not from a certain distance though, so as I said... spacing is #1 if you are facing a good testament. get the momentum, get in on him, and then destroy him with awesome strats. this matchup could though just be summarized with: More O and razorcrane. (I just had to make a quick reply, due to non-true statements being posted) oh, and why sb sweep when you have counters blockconfirm....
