  1. I think it comes from the impression that most of the main girls want Ragna's dick. Which isn't really true, although its obvious he doesn't want anything to do with anybody Not haremy unless you mistook Rachel's joke end for the rest of the series What's going on with Celica in cp anyway. Any new info? Last thing I heard was only the stuff from haz ending
  2. In Makoto's story mode Rachel says parallel universe. But Rachel herself makes things more complicated since she seems to experience timelines linearly, and is surprised when Hakumen claims Noel did not exist in his world. it's bb, it don't gotta make sense
  3. Power creep. Gotta make the new characters intimidating, right? Azrael is probably extremely physically strong, but he can always be outwitted, outplayed, or outmatched. Still, it is a little ridiculous...
  4. Confusingly. From our perspective, only the timeline that produces a living Noel is the "current" one, but as Makoto's story mode shows all timelines are happening at the same time. They're parallel universes in addition to being past or future loops. Makoto is able to travel to the Wheel of Fortune timeline despite that happening in the "past." Well, it's not really the past, but it's a previous timeline. Try not to think about it too much. Before the Black Beast (if there's not any mumbo jumbo where a Black Beast from like phase #453 could end up in like phase #002), it was probably just the Cauldron that Kusanagi was forging in that gave rise to the Black Beast. Terumi does say the Cauldron essentially went berserk and produced the Black Beast, its "child."
  5. It's a supercomputer/data entity created by humans. Seems like it was made to calculate distortions created by Amaterasu, to perform dimensional interference, and interfere with Amaterasu. In CT it seemed like it was waiting for a favorable timeline--a timeline in which Noel survived. In CS it wanted Terumi to make Noel into Kusanagi in order to eliminate Amaterasu and inherit the Azure. It wanted a world free of the distortions and phenomena intervention created by the Master Unit, a world perfectly calculated by Takamagahara. After what Phantom's virus did to it, it seems like it's just the Imperator's toy. I feel like I'm missing something, but I don't know what.
  6. Considering this series has a running theme of manmade entities having godlike power, and yet the insistence that nothing built by human hands can be a god... Who knows? They might be one and the same. The origins of the Sankishin Core Units is a mystery, and they might have always existed or they might have been crafted by humans. Amaterasu seems to be taking a more proactive role in CP, so we might see more information in story mode or a new setting material collection. Someone suggested that the first successful prime field is inhabiting Saya and is royally pissed at what humanity did to her, but CP confirms that the Imperator is weaker than Takamagahara in terms of observation and phenomena intervention and so probably not that prime field.
  7. I think the casket in the center of it is much more interesting than the rest of it. I think Nemesis Horizon might be the name of an event more than an actual object. The event of that...thing (Amaterasu, the first successful prime field something else, whatever you want to guess)...coming out from the Boundary/Cauldron. Much like Continuum Shift. A weird thing about Sealed Weapons such as Izayoi: Kokonoe says it was created prior to the Dark War, but it's definitely an armagus.
  8. Yeah, I've been thinking the same (the Imperator also has a different voice actress, not Kondou, which is kind of weird unless they wanted to make it obvious that she's a different person) but it's still a mystery. Especially the Imperator. A previous failed prime field? The first Imperator? Some other shadowy being that has thematic references to Izanami? IIRC, in the Wheel of Fortune Relius was still making Terumi's body when they raided the church. Might have changed for the current timeline, but I still prefer the idea of Terumi possessing Jin and hacking Ragna's arm off. Ragna probably recognizes Terumi by the voice. This is the man who ruined his life and is the source of every nightmarish recollection of that day. Ragna has probably memorized the guy's voice. He's probably still mad at Jin because he thinks Jin allied himself with Terumi then and is still allied with him now (something he accuses Jin of in Ragna's CS arcade mode). Give it seven years to stew, resentment, and doubt to form and you've got the beginnings of Ragna's conflicted feelings towards Jin's actions. He does say he might forgive Jin one day, but he'll never forget.
  9. This one seemed kind of clear to me. 1. He really does not like the NOL in general. Jubei didn't seem to like it either, and Jubei has obviously passed on a few of the NOL's dirty secrets to Ragna. 2. Destroying the Cauldrons under the base, and if they have them, the incomplete Nu. 3. Because he wants to rip Terumi apart and Terumi is allied with the NOL. 5. He was also seeking the Imperator prior to the big reveal. Not so much as a single goal, but rather a multitude of reasons.
  10. -What Amaterasu exactly is -What's going on with Amaterasu -What is the origin of the Sankishin Core Units -What the NOL wanted with Tenjou's corpse -Tenjou's son -What's going on with Saya/the Imperator -Phantom--what happened to Nine? Is Phantom just Nine's corpse reanimated, or a doll created by Relius to house her subjugated soul? -Celica. Just. Celica. -How Relius and Terumi plan to destroy Amaterasu--especially how they're going to get to it or have it come to them -No.00 (if it's not referring to Izayoi or whatever) -Ragna's No. 5 mark (is it just a regular tattoo? or does it have a more sinister origin to it?) -How in the world do Makoto's boobs stay in her top -Tager's past -Events of...I guess I should say the initial timeline/universe. The one that made the "world go mad" as Rachel put it. -I guess what happened to Murakumo Units 1-10, but it's likely they are either unimportant or destroyed. I don't really consider this a big mystery. Kind of just listed things off the top of my head sorry. As for Hakumen, Hakumen is simply that amazing. Hihiirokane huh? Lots of things seem to be made out of hihiirokane in BB, although I guess that's to be expected.
  11. why did I ever leave evangelion fandom I take it all back @Ichipoo: Wait what I think you're talking about the Susano'o Unit, not Ookami. Ookami and Hakumen are tight, and he took it with him when he was sealed into the Boundary. Plus Ookami would be stupidly large for Hazama. a first time loop would probably be caused by Kusanagi going berserk, but due to weird time bullshit from the future affecting the past that is also happening simultaneously, who can say. As Chronophantasma says, time is just an illusion.
  12. what the balls MORIIIIIIIIIII Well, at least Amaterasu isn't just sitting in the Boundary twiddling its thumbs while Terumi plots its destruction. @Chaoschao22: Ragna's Blood-scythe doesn't have a soul! Not yet anyway.
  13. To reestablish the thematic references (otherwise everyone would forget about how Noel called him the Dark Susano'o in CT) between Terumi and the mythological Susano'o was my guess. I never thought that he meant it literally. On a slightly offtopic note, is there much demand for an arcade or story mode script for CS? I've been transcribing arcade and story modes and I was wondering if anybody else was interested in them.
  14. That's new! When did this happen? I was under the impression that he was merely the Susano'o's former owner.
  15. Well, I don't think it's a problem unique to modern Japanese storytelling. It's something any complex story will struggle with. Maybe there's something about modern Japanese storytelling that exaggerates the problem, but I wouldn't know. Plenty of franchises have continuity snarls worse than BB's. All it takes is a few bored and/or dedicated fans with enough time on their hands to pick apart a series and fanwank something. (You should see the explanations for stuff in the Evangelion fandom, my god.) If it's a huge enough issue, they could always retcon things. It's been done in BB before. Technically, I don't think Jin is seen with Yukianesa after he falls through the Cauldron. If you wanted to go with the simplest explanation, just say he lost his grip on it while falling. @Anfingrimm: Afaik it's never mentioned. The Azure Grimoire is kind of a special case anyway.
  16. By 'wouldn't work outside of close combat with the Black Beast,' I mean prior to its defeat. After the Dark War, the Black Beast had released a ton of seithr, whereas before it seemed limited to the areas around Cauldrons or places the Black Beast frequented. After its defeat, seithr was very plentiful. In Phase 0, the sword he wields doesn't look like Yukianesa or Ookami. It's lacking the characteristic sheaths of either, and the hilt is totally different from Yukianesa's. But hell, I don't know. It could simply be an art flub, or they didn't put any thought into it. I think we're kind of overthinking it haha. edit: In the illustrations at least, Hakumen appears to wield Ookami in Phase Shift 2. It has the same hilt, and the pommel and crossguard match perfectly.
  17. Yukianesa and Ookami require large amounts of seithr to function properly, so Hakumen probably discarded Yukianesa after he fell through the Cauldron. It wouldn't work outside of close combat with the Black Beast. Plus, the sword he uses in Phase 0 sure doesn't look like Yukianesa. To be frank, I doubt Mori and co. thought about this lol. Worst case scenario, Clavis or Rachel confiscated it to prevent a horrible time paradox. I'm wholly convinced that all Hakumen has of Jin is his soul, but it is portrayed a little ambiguously. Even if he does have Jin's body, he's definitely not whole. Just look at Hakumen's feet and legs. Hakumen's luscious locks are probably the Susano'o Unit's.
  18. That was me. I think Arakune might be a reference to a Tachikoma (blue color + off white face + plus Ara does have a spider shape for some attacks), but I'm not sure. That leaves Litchi, Hazama, and Valk, right?
  19. That's part of my frustration with the whole thing. The two situations are so dissimilar. Unless they had one because of the Azure Grimoire. Re Bang and Azrael: For all of Azrael's bloodlust, at least he leaves his victims alive and whole. Either he got bored and left, or was impressed by Bang's passion (if not his physical strength) and...got bored and left.
  20. Truth be told, I'm not completely sure if that was what Noel was doing but I have no idea what else she could be doing, or why else Rachel would be so worried. Lifelinks have been in the cards since the beginning but they are indeed stupid. How is a lifelink formed? What exactly is it, besides a mysterious connection that keeps a character from dying unless the person they've linked to dies at the same time? However this being BB I know these questions will never be answered because this is a game with a convoluted and senseless plot and mechanics.
  21. Yes you're right, the Eye is not the same thing as a relatively normal observer. Noel is stated to be the "true/new successor of the Azure," "the Eye," "the Eyes of Amaterasu," "the new Eye," "the Eyes of the Azure," etc etc. She's supposed to have god tier observation powers. What Terumi was doing was trying to form a lifelink with Noel. How that worked just from her having him observe him once, I don't know.
  22. I honestly can't remember if it's clearly explained but you have to think of it like Schroedinger's cat, especially for creatures like Terumi and Hakumen. After their ordeal in the Boundary, Terumi and Hakumen have a difficult time remaining in this world without someone observing them. They are Schroedinger's cats. They need someone else to observe them to confirm their existence, otherwise they would fade back into the Boundary. (An eye cannot observe itself, so this is why Terumi can't observe himself.) This is the big deal Takamagahara makes about observing Terumi. They think that they can maintain a hold on him because there is no one else willing to observe him--or at least, they didn't realize he would be willing to wake up the Imperator. Terumi can also temporarily use Ragna's hatred of him, but it probably wouldn't work for very long. I think they're called external factors but it's been so damn long I don't remember anymore, and Rachel is called an external factor too and she doesn't seem to need an observer. An observer can view events (Noel), create distortions (Amaterasu), and observe various possibilities of the continuum shift (Terumi, Takamagahara). Terumi calls it the power of a god, and that anything an Eye (an observer) observes is made real. The Azure confers powers of ultimate observation. edit: but yes quantum mechanics sums it up very well, much neater than anything i can explain. goddammit bb, etc etc.
  23. Yeah, it nullifies ars magus (for a short period of time anyway, given that Ragna didn't die after fighting him). It seems like he can even do a good number on Rachel if he really wants to. Still, if he killed Ragna and left Nu alone Ragna would probably revive. Eventually. What I want to know is how the hell Relius and Terumi plan to get Amaterasu out of the Boundary. If they end up using a lure like in myth, who's gonna be the draw?
  24. Yeah. Judging by Relius's arcade mode, one person can die, but if the other half of the link does not die as well then the person will eventually revive. It's how Hazama came back after Ignis killed him, and likely how Nu came back. Hakumen was probably just banking on trying to kill Ragna and Nu before the other could revive. How is it formed? I don't know. Goddammit, BB.
  25. By ate it, I meant the Azure Grimoire ate it when it absorbed her Idea Engine. But I don't think Lambda would provide much of a difference in Nu, other than possibly making her less crazy.
