  1. CT had a lot of weird mistakes. I recall Ikaruga being written as Iruma as well. Some words were even taken out, like Jin calling Ragna Dark One in the JP version of the True End, but it was mysteriously excised in the English version. Takamagahara probably would've been easier to spell if it had been hyphenated. The eye kind of glazes over all those similar syllables.
  2. TakaMAGAhara.
  3. The Master Unit is sapient, unless there's someone behind the scenes controlling even it. It has its own desires and select methods for carrying them out. Choosing Noel to be its Eyes is probably part of its own game.
  4. I think more people (Rachel, Terumi, Hakumen, etc) would give more fucks about Jubei if he was connected to the Master Unit. I guess it's possible (in the sense that Taokaka being related to the Master Unit is possible), but I don't think it's very probable. There's nothing to really suggest it in any of the games or supplementary material, AFAIK. I don't really see the resemblance between Amaterasu's emblem and Jubei's Sekigan. Parts of the emblem resemble Tsukiyomi's (fittingly enough), but Jubei's Sekigan? Eh. The only thing they have in common is there's a bunch of circles and they're both colored shining gold.
  5. ...I think you are reading too deeply into this. I'm not quite sure where you got all of that from.
  6. Or that. I guess it depends on how you slice it. For being the Eyes of Amaterasu, she doesn't seem to do a lot for the Master Unit, but maybe it's jerking Noel around in its own fashion. @mitsuyoshi: Most of those things can be explained in other ways. I fail to see how Amaterasu's emblem suits him. The only part that has a connection is the "eye" part of the emblem, and that's just to line up with Amaterasu's shtick of being an ultimate observer. Plus, it doubles as sun imagery. There are even rays coming out of the "eye" that resemble the rays seen surrounding the goddess Amaterasu in art.
  7. Just you. It's been telegraphed all over the place that Noel is--or was, at least.
  8. Huh. Strange. Some sort of armagus, with Gain Art being the activation chant and name of it?
  9. One explanation: Lambda has only part of Nu's soul, and her memories were fragmented. She just wanted to be with Ragna. She also had a desire to impress Kokonoe even though Nu never would (source: her bad ending where "Ragna" tells her that Kokonoe is proud of her or something like that). Back in her own body, Nu reverts to full on crazy LET'S KILL EACH OTHER RAGUNAAAAAA Not to mention that Nu has only seemed sympathetic in her own story mode or as Lambda, where we have insight into her feelings. Who knows, she might be having some internal misgivings judging by Hazama's weird face in her arcade mode.
  10. And it was only recently that they had a wanted poster too. He probably doesn't get a lot of cash out of whatever odd jobs he might do, but it's not like he needs much. He probably only spends it on food or valuable supplies like salt.
  11. That he never uses.
  12. It's not exactly that suspicious. I don't recall Jubei being mentioned in any of the trailers or arcade mode coverage for Continuum Shift. Chrono Phantasma is just continuing the trend. Maybe Hakumen or Valkenhayn or Kokonoe talks about him in Chrono Phantasma, but that's the farthest extent. Frankly, Jubei isn't really that important to the plot right now. He's doing his own thing. He could be up to top secret spoilery info, or he could be rolling in a pile of Actinidia polygama. I don't think Kokonoe is scared of Jubei, she's just still pissed at him. Hell, until CS she says it's been something like twenty years since she's seen him. She also knows how futile it is to fight him.
  13. I think it's just transport like that would have too many people...and there's the issue of having no $$$. He probably spent it all on feeding Tao or buying his favorite ramen... Yes, there's the Ibukido Cauldron and base bodies for Mu down there. Still there, unless someone moved them all out for whatever reason.
  14. Hell, I forgot about that damn tower. Guess that definitely confirms they're within a day's walk of each other, or at least Ibukido. Actually, if there's some form of intercity transport such as aircraft or shuttles, that cuts down on the time a lot (although I'm sure Ragna will still walk everywhere instead).
  15. I don't remember Jubei being in any arcade mode, let alone ending. He's probably in Ikaruga somewhere, but considering it's a dissolved country spread out over five Hierarchical Cities, that "somewhere" is pretty big. Which reminds me: how long (as in over a span of time) is the story mode going to be if the characters are going to be moving from city to city? Unless all the cities are within a day's travel of one another, it seems like we're going to get some really stretched out sequences. Really wish there was a map of some sort...but that would require just where in the world all the cities are. @mitsuyoshi: The Master Unit is still very much intact. The whole goal of Terumi and co. is to bring Amaterasu out of the Boundary. The Imperator's speech was kind of ambiguous and IIRC when CS was first released everybody thought that she had destroyed Amaterasu, only for it to turn out it was a misunderstanding due to her distinctive speaking style.
  16. Nah, the Imperator didn't do anything to the Master Unit. She was just speaking metaphorically. Kokonoe for SSS tier
  17. Well, if I were Kokonoe I'd want to hang back too unless there was no other option; however, given her speech about wanting POWAH in CS it's not a leap to see her take the stage. Might as well do things yourself if your loyal minion isn't capable, right? The whole thing might just be a tease though. @Tokkan: Thanks! Didn't notice that Kokonoe's call didn't have the month or day listed.
  18. It has, although I think that exchange happens in many endings (all endings?), not just in Relius's. Afaik the plan to pull Amaterasu out of the Boundary isn't detailed much, but it might have something to do with Relius's other plan about using Rettenjou. Or Ragna and Nu in Ragna's ending. Or they might be part of the same plan. Both Relius's ending and Hazama's ending (where Celica shows up) have the same date (2/3), so she's probably already summoned Celica. She might just be handing her over to Tager, but "I'll come and take care of this myself" is awfully leading.
  19. I had the impression that she was tapping into the greatest pool of knowledge: the Azure. No, otherwise Mu would be wrong about almost everything.
  20. I've been saying the same stuff about Ragna's fate for two months. Arakune also has a freakout in CT (depending on what choice you pick when you devour Ragna) and he spazzes out about heat and a horrible nightmare and something else, then immediately spits Ragna back out. The sequence was almost as trippy as when he devours Ragna in CS. Mu also wants to destroy herself, so I don't think she's a good indication of anything.
  21. iirc Azrael faces Valk, Tager, Jin, and Ragna. Celica has the ability to nullify seithr. Passively at that, judging by how Ragna's arm and eye stop working when he's around her in Phase 0, and when she shows up in Hazama's arcade mode. She didn't age because Kokonoe brought her forward in time via the Chrono Phantasma/Illusion of time. The Celica that's an old woman has been dead for something like 7 years now.
  22. Eh, not anymore than what happened to Ragna or Tsubaki, although there wasn't much blood shown for Ragna. Still, he had a sword rammed through his middle and lived. Good thing the AG works on gut wounds!
  23. Screwed up by Phantom's magical virus and now they're gonna spend the rest of eternity trying to divide by zero. Although it seems like the Imperator has a degree of control over them, given what goes on in Ragna's CP arcade ending.
  24. I guess he needed to be dead (however momentarily) in order to get where Takamagahara is (the Boundary, right?) in the first place, or he needs to be dead in order to use his ghost form. Unless there's some other reason why that I missed.
  25. Yeah, pretty much. In Relius's arcade mode they chat about that. Terumi just lays down waiting to bleed out until Relius shows up, then Relius uses Ignis to kill him. Relius says something along the lines of if Ragna had done his job there would've been no need for them to stoop to fighting. So yeah, he was counting on the life-link to pull through and revive him after he finished messing up Takamagahara.
