  1. Yeah, wasn't ready for so many.
  2. Kind of. Mostly I wanted to break my mold of day 1 combos so I started incorporating the IAD combo more. Was having trouble with zan and yuki coming out, so I was dropping combos I really shouldn't have been.
  3. Quit reading my mind!
  4. I can get back on if you're still playing.
  5. Throw them off with Zan(1) > renka, they'll never block that!
  6. While I think certain elements should be homogenized, I do like playing against the majority of the cast haha.
  7. It's actually pretty simple. All I really want from the game are some honest matches. Why would I waste my time playing people that sit there and just abuse gimmicks or spend an entire match fishing for an astral? I really don't have any patience for self entitled elitists that are going to come in and actively try to ruin my experience. If the connection between us is laggy enough that I feel like it's impacting my play, I'll boot you. I'm here to play the game, not fight it. Be aware, I've got a pretty damn good memory too, so if you send me hate mail, I will likely recognize your name and instantly boot you from the room. Douche bags aren't welcome. Be honest, play the game, and don't pick kokonoe, and things will probably be just fine.
  8. Comes with the perks of hosting the room. It let's me remove things that would otherwise have a negative impact on my enjoyment of the game. Things like kokonoe players and your sister.
  9. Are you implying Tager has other moves? I call BS. While this wasn't me, I certainly had a similar suspicion the other night when your name entered my room immediately after booting green jeans. So you both just happen to play Bang. What a coincidence.
  10. Gotcha.
  11. 2D can counter highs in CP2? http://youtu.be/uiU9Ock_Kr0?t=12m00s Unless Carl's j.2C is no longer head property...
  12. Here's what he means by saving your burst. Shameless Self Plug Also, another step you can take towards getting ready for CP2, is start using the IAD combo more. It's surprisingly useful, and I kind of wish I had used it a lot more sooner. You can do 2B > Gurren(renka for az, kag, and a couple others) off of a lot of confirms. It's pretty efficient and gives you loads of corner carry, which will be especially important in CP2.
  13. That's what I thought, there's only a 1 frame difference between 5C and 2C in start up. Oh well, I guess I'll have to use while I still can.
  14. Does 3C CH > 2C still work in 2.0?
  15. I saw a lot of dropped combos, granted most of them seemed to be later loops. Still you're giving up a slightly more favorable position when that happens. Something I'd comment on is you have a habit of wanting to do 5C ground to air a lot. I can see why you're fishing for it, but there were several cases where it ended up leaving you open, and other times it was simply beaten outright. Don't forget you also have 6A, 5D, and 2C for that. The other thing I noticed is that most of your opponents seemed to be aware of your drive habits, and it didn't seem to be doing you too many favors.
  16. All I ever said was that I disagree with the fact that they're gimping my favorite character and trying to make up for it with OD combos that do too much damage, and that they could have made smarter decisions involving the changes. The bigger issue was the high damage, which would bother me regardless of character. If someone is going to question me on that opinion, I will explain why I felt the way I did.
  17. Excellent contribution. Not sure how I ever could have reached that conclusion with out your insight.
  18. I assume you're talking about 0-100 kill combos, in which case, yes. That crap is dumb. My point was, yes, the POTENTIAL is there to do upwards of 12k damage combos with Hakumen, but when was the last time you've gotten that off in a regular match? Honestly, the answer should be never. The requirements of that outcome are too unlikely. Because the probability is so low, you can pretty much rule it out, even if it's a possibility. A 6k damage OD combo to win the round isn't a big deal. The entire cast can do that in their own ways. Hell, Kagura has a near meterless combo that does that much. But it seems dumb to break down a character into a weaker version of itself and just try to make up for it with stupidly high damage combos. I'd pretty much want to rage quit if I spent an entire round wearing down an opponent to within inches of winning, and then wam bam they get lucky and shit out a 10k damage combo to steal the match. It's hardly fair to the person on the receiving end of nonsense like that. I don't agree with that direction that CP2 Hakumen seems to be taking. Even combos with B starters that would usually get you like 5k in 1.1 are doing 7k+ in CP2 because of the changes in proration to several moves. The only limiting factor in CP2 seems to really be star count.
  19. Yeah, his OD damage is slightly higher than most of the cast, but if you don't do it off a good starter or activate with low stars, it ends up getting gimped really hard. Plus even though the potential for absurdity has always been there, the requirements for it made it feel like you'd have to win the lotto to get it off. It was just so rare that you didn't have to worry about it. I like that they gave CP2 Haku some good moves like a faster 6A and 4C among others, but other things like barely any new combo routes (you can pretty much do all of CP2 Haku's BnB's in 1.1 right now) and making agito oki cost prohibitive in many cases, just don't seem to be doing the character any favors.
  20. Good luck getting a fully charged 6C counterhit in the corner with low health and 8 stars. Otherwise you're going to have to work pretty hard to break 7k with an OD combo. Your opponent would have to be asleep for you to really have a chance to do anything like that. 6k seems to be the average high mark for most of the cast when it comes to common OD combos, and that's generally fine, you're spending a lot of resources. I'd much rather have meter to spend in neutral through out a match, but instead, it looks like they neutered CP2 Hakumen's meter gain, and his only real skill now is to cheese his way through matches with ridiculously high OD damage off just about anything.
  21. I just hate any idea of the possibility of 0-100% combos. There's no place in a competitive environment for that sort of nonsense.
  22. http://youtu.be/McGlHE_S1Ho Loads of Haku matches in this one. First round is just dumb. Almost 10k damage OD comeback. Personally I disagree with that immensely. That's enough to take out a couple members of the cast in a single combo. Doesn't even require something silly like a fully charged 6C hit.
  23. I'm not too bothered by the loss of projectile invuln. I think it's more to stop Hakumen from ignoring bursts for free than anything else. The only times I actively took advantage of the projectile invuln was during Arakune bug pressure if I could get a read on what bugs to expect, and against Hazama chains. Everything else I mostly counted on Fumajin.
  24. I'm fairly certain it's retaining those properties. It better. I need to keep being able to cheese Izayoi's DD.
  25. GGs BlackYakuzu and SinfulNoir Play longer next time!
