  1. That 4C buff looks pretty strong. No long relegated to doing j.C ad nauseum!
  2. I usually try to bait out DPs in this match up since Jin's are incredibly punishable. Empty jumps/double jumps with barrier, hop forward during their wake ups and bait out a DP, etc. It works pretty well against most, especially if you can take the life lead early with a few pokes. Hardest Jin fight I've ever had was some pink who mind f***** me by playing entirely defensive and never jumping. Threw me off so badly I couldn't help but laugh. I start to play it even safer when I see he has 25 heat or more (which happens pretty quickly). Shut down his jump cancel pressure with some good 6A's and 5D's. It generally calms him down a lot if you punish him a couple of times for it and make him think twice. Ice cars can be punished with 3C on block (if he does the 2nd part with the sword, for sure, can't remember if the first part also has enough recovery time as well), sadly it's not a CH, but hey, free 1k. Obvious crap like punish his 6D on reaction by beating its start up, because it's pretty much safe on block if you don't. I'll have to get online and do this one again a few times so I can remember some more stuff from it.
  3. Don't forget that they were nerfing Lvl 3 drill's chip damage. I don't know to what degree, but as long as it's not letting Amane take out half your health bar with drill > rc > drill, they're going in the right direction.
  4. I'll take CP counters any day of the week. 5D anti air has been the greatest thing ever.
  5. That's my pocket Azrael's entire game plan though!
  6. Can you confirm that Arc's is still using the same boxes as from Extend? Personally, I immediately felt like some moves behaved differently when going from Extend to CP, but I don't know if that was because of the change in pace, or if other things had been altered. Jesus, didn't realize they were that stupid.
  7. She deserves it. I hate her. The way I understand the game works is air grabs have a hit box. Hakumen has a hurtbox. If said hitbox overlaps with a hurtbox, it considers it a catch (assuming the grab wins in frames and all that crap). Different moves and actions change his hurtbox accordingly, and the problem is that Hakumen's hurtboxes are freaking huge. I've been above people starting j.2C, grabbed from below. I've been in mid dash, get grabbed while they're behind or below me. I think this is the reason for the crazy grabs that occur, because it looks like his hurtboxes don't really line up with the way his animation looks. Crap like this happens on the ground too, since they're are hurtboxes on moves like 6C/4C that are on the sword itself. I've had Ragna hit the sword with 5B and confirm it into a corner carry combo, even though Haku himself is still standing a good character length and a half back. Izayoi was in a similar situation in 1.0 where there were hurtboxes on her spear that would cause crazy things to happen. I used to hit her with 5C when she would teleport behind and start her 5B poke. I'm not sure how well it was addressed, but I feel like some similar tweaking would help Hakumen in more than just grabs. Most of all, I wish he'd pick his feet up when he jumped. Hell, crazy ass Tager does. It'd be nice if I could get away with jumping over some stuff that the rest of the cast does, while Hakumen get's his foot clipped and then proceeds to get confirmed into a combo.
  8. Where do you think those stupid magnet feet grabs come from? It'd be the most amazing change ever if Hakuman didn't get clipped on his damn feet so much.
  9. I hope they acknowledge the fact that his hitboxes/hurtboxes need some adjustment too.
  10. Why do people still insist on making rooms with more than 4 slots? Nobody wants to sit through that shit.
  11. That's pretty funny. reminds me of how everyone tries to stuff OD if you activate next to them just to watch them eat OD Yuki > Shippu for their troubles.
  12. 90%+ grab tech rate from you was great. GGs man.
  13. It's generally the best starter you can get during mugen, now if only everyone would quit upbacking so damn much the moment you go super on them. Seriously, EVERYONE upbacks the moment you do Mugen or OD. I've literally abused that fact in matches. http://youtu.be/EOtXNoB1JTI Best Mugen come back I saw was a while back. Guy activates Mugen, and just does hop Tsubaki twice into Shippu, 7k damage. Done.
  14. Poropiccho beasting hard in this one. So many good reads. http://youtu.be/YiQDdX-4WL8
  15. I bet you were an Xbox One apologist too. You of all people should know that Arakune doesn't need good neutral because neutral isn't the tool he uses. He uses curse clouds and bugs. Then during curse he uses distractions, cross ups and mind games. You can't compare his moves to the rest of the cast if they don't even have the same intended uses. And none of you seem to understand I'm largely fine with the character. But I'm not gonna lay here and say nothing when I'm watching him get away with shit that NO OTHER CHARACTER in the cast can. I'll fucking say it again, 7k meterless damage is fucking retarded. It really is that simple. There is no justification.
  16. The argument always seems to be that his "neutral" is bad so it makes sense. I'm of the opinion that 7k damage outside of OD combos is pretty damn ridiculous and shouldn't be happening. Back to the point though, you can't look at Arakune and compare him to Ragna. They don't work even remotely the same. Arakune is a unique beast, and because of that, he has unique tools and challenges. That's good, it brings variety, but he should still be under the same general guidelines as the rest of the cast. His game plan has all the tools necessary to work (unpredictable movement, huge back step invincibility, teleports, ranged curse options). He doesn't need to have good oki or pressure, because he has different kinds of tools for those situations. People need to quit trying to some how justify absurd design flaws in a character that largely works as intended.
  17. Arakune match up isn't the problem. I only have an issue with the game giving him retard curse damage. Players will find ways to make the character work. They shouldn't get an absurd advantage over the rest of the cast for it. The rest of the cast run circles around Haku when it comes to movement and positioning. And someone show me the 7k meterless combo Haku has, didn't know I was missing out. Or any other character for that matter. A point to make in this stupid discussion, this isn't even remotely close to something like Haku getting lucky with 6C fatal counter. This is literally Arakune cracking you open with an overhead and then getting 6-7k with out spending any heat or OD and then doing it again after he does his corner recurse combo. Why would anyone think it's alright for him to get away with nonsense like that. He's not even under the same pressure as the rest of the cast to confirm a combo. His bugs have never ending hit stun and he can literally stroll over to you, taunt, and then start a 6k combo with out even caring. So if Haku consistently got 7k meterless from a j.C/2C in the corner you'd be ok with it? Or Ragna, or Jin, or any other character. Of course it'd be your fault because you didn't block, so you deserved it.
  18. His intended design is to increased damage during curse. 7k with out having to spend any heat when he has more than enough tools to curse you with out even hitting you is dumb as fuck and anyone who says otherwise is delusional.
  19. Wasn't salty about the loss. I just think it's mind blowingly fucking stupid that Arakune gets away with 7k meterless damage and everyone thinks it's some how justified. That sort of nonsense needs to stay in MvC3.
  20. Are you trying tell me that intentionally avoiding the match up outright isn't a viable solution?
  21. It used to be you could actually punish it with 3C at the end of his drive chains, but they tightened up his strings in the last patch and that no longer works. You can do 2D instead now though.
  22. Too much style in Schneider's vids and here I am still doing day one shit.
  23. Ok ok. I feel like there's a lot to complain about with CP Hakumen, but I will admit that they got at least one thing right. Had to laugh pretty heavily when I watch myself do 4 Yukikaze slashes in a single round. Hakumen's OD is too much fun.
  24. None of the cast glows like plat does. She practically reflects light. Other characters may have reds or light blues, but they don't glow or are outwardly bright. Besides, you're all forgetting the most important fact. It's all subjective and I'll kick her in her stupid face no matter what you say.
