render speaks the truth. My other piece of advice would be that slidehead avoids your super, so don't use it even in desperation since you will just get killed. You can IB->fwd dash if he does 6h->slidehead, and you get a free CH combo.
-
I'll start with: I think Eddie "combos" are boring. As they go, though, those were cool. It's pretty much the stuff Latiff does in real matches, though, haha. I'll end with: The editing alone made me watch it 3 times. On my list of top combo videos for any game. One of the best-put-together vids I can think of! For some reason, the fact that you can see the page through the cover as it closes at the end (on the left) really bothered me.

HF break buster gives the added bonus that if they shake out you usually get them anyway and it resets the damage. (^.^)
-
You can gold burst meaties, you just have the same 1 frame to do it as you have to backdash or VV etc.
-
Flick is +2 on block, if you got Eddied after that it was your own fault. (^.^)
-
Yeah but "scrubbing the stick" doesn't have the same ring to it. [edit - in fact, it has quite a different ring (^.^) ]

From frame data: Flick startup: 21 6h startup: 23 Giganter 2nd startup: 51 I am sure you can't land it on someone scrubbing the buttons as hard as possible, since training mode stagger recover 3 gets out, but if you can land a 6h you can land a flick more easily.

Hellmonkey's right, learn to block. However, a few things that may help: - Eddie is the one of the easiest (if not THE easeist) characters to do the mirror loop on. After the Heat, just do HF/break and buffer the super motion during the Break, then super and slidehead. You can do it every time, very easily, even in the corner (change it to walk-back-a-bit then super). Feel no remorse, it's Eddie! - Learn his wakeup timing - he's got nothing remarkable to get him out of an unblockable Slidehead. - Learn to do PB FRC 2s 2h Heat on him, even if you can only do it near the corner (which is easy) it helps a lot. - Midstage if you get a chance, do unblk Slidehead, jump towards land 5s 5s fwd-jump-APB. The damage midstage is 100% worth doing. Also learn to follow up an APB with walk-fwd unblk slidehead repeat. (^.^) Feel no remorse, it's Eddie! - Learn the range of drills, and flick them when possible. I don't, as Hellmonkey will point out, but I hear it helps. :^P

This was doable in any version of GG, and there are vids of it from #R I think. (^.^)' You didn't need the CPU to Block All...it could be done by having Chipp in IK mode knock the other person down, the other person do an OTG burst and then have Chipp hit the burst with his IK. It also worked with Potemkin but with different results. You could also do it vs Bridget by hitting him out of his 5p, then when he gets up hitting his auto-taunt with the IK, since the taunt preserved the on-the-floor property. Nice find that you can do it by SBing though...did you try SBing everyone else's IKs?
-
Bridget's 5p has a taunt afterwards. If you interrupt his 5p and combo off it, he will do the taunt the next time he returns to neutral (with a few exceptions). However, the taunt preserves the properties of whatever came before, so you can do a 4-hit combo to knockdown then after he gets up he'll taunt and you can continue the previous "combo" on the combometer. I think damage scaling is also continued. This has been known for a few games and was the foundation of the have-people-live-through-IK's glitch (eventually extended to OTG bursts). There's extra stuff with this if you knock him down and make him get up facing the wrong way (i.e. do it with a Pot Buster, or jump over him while he's down, etc). If you do that then he won't taunt, but he still has the taunt stored up so he'll do it the next time he returns to neutral without turning around. With that stored taunt, you can build stupid "combos" like Pot 5k->5s->2s->(Bridget recovers and taunts continuing the combo)->Pot Buster as hit #4->FRC etc.

On May it actually helps to walk forward about half a step before doing the 2s.
-
...or you could easy-option-select the airthrow and only whiff a j.P... j.HS+any other button goes for an airthrow or does the other button's attack, (except HS+D will burst of course).
-
Yes, you will. I'm a moron, double-tap Slash. Still easy, though.
-
On JO the standard is PB FRC 5s 2s Heat. It's incredibly easy, just do the FRC with PKS and double-tap all the buttons to get the 5s.
-
Vs ABA: Early-ish 6p beats or clashes her airs, but watch out for j.H anyway; Buster Danzai after blocking; IB rekka 2nd hit for free Buster on 3rd; Meaty 6K, jump and block Danzai, Buster; When you knock her down in Moroha, walk up a step and giganter loop her into the GGPO bin. Learn how to end a SH combo with Heat (all hits for the tension) RC, walk up a step, activate, IK. :^)

Usually either a "Works on: TE, FA, AB, ED", or a "Not on: the girls, PO" is fine. Whichever list is shorter, although if they're about equal length I dunno. :^)
-
From a tutorial video standpoint: Showing things you can use the slide for is good, though it might be nice to at least list specifics for things you don't show, such as who throw->keygrab actually works on.

(O.o) Many matches recorded, and every single piece of footage from the (non-shaky) camcorder is uploaded within 3 days of the tournament? A round of applause for Zaido! -
You ought to take your own advice, Massa Watches. :^)

The way I see it is this: Gig loop guarantees a Slidehead unless they backdash or do specific things...against certain characters (Eddie being the really important one). However, against most characters it's not guaranteed, and some can even punish you for it. In which case, if you learn the timing for meaty Slidehead, that also guarantees you the Slidehead unless they backdash or do specific things...but it's on everyone and didn't cost you tension...and they can't Dead Angle/parry/counter it either. Against most characters, especially Baiken, I'd rather just do meaty Slidehead a million times than bother with the loop. I'll loop Eddie to hell and back, but that's because it's super easy on him with HF/Break.

Seconded - I put on Rebirth The Edge and pretended it was that other May vid. (^.^) Otherwise, I liked it. The last combo and the the full-stage randomness was great, but the zoom-in on the CH 5d, 6p combo was kinda annoying.
-
I think he meant, the only control you have is which way you jump. (^.^)
-
- Slidehead, jump towards, 5s 5s TK APB, if you get it to move fwd and end up in the corner then 5s 2h Heat. This is very useful in matches, you do major damage off a Slidehead for only 25%. Once you're comfortable with that, go on to.... - vs. Faust in corner, PB FRC [5s APB] x3. Then... - vs. May, Sol, Axl, etc in corner, PB FRC 5s APB [5s 5s APB]x2. Once you can do those you should be pretty comfortable with the motion, so go on to learning 2h HF/Break TK APB for use in combos.
-
- OTG slideheads: They don't combo (the opponent can tech, since hitting someone out of Sliding state acts like an air hit, and if you hit someone in the air with Slidehead they can tech right away) but yeah, you can do this to 999 black-beat hits. - Backwards specials...well, those have been in other fighters forever, and actually in ST if you do a backwards Spinning Pile Driver it will still grab the other person...wonder if that works with PB. They've also been in GG, but not usually easy to replicate more than once. The usefulness with Slidehead is that they probably couldn't hit you with anything since you fall away from them...maybe doing a Megafist back, or a JG would be worth trying too?

Heat is not FDable, only Slashback can "block" it, which is a bug anyway. APB is FDable and SBable. So if they're dumb you can do j.P APB vs. air and it'll work, but not if they are FDing. APB is also RCable if they FD it, and it's burstable right when it hits (though you get the damage anyway). TK APB is much faster than Heat, witness all the times when it will combo off a 5s but Heat (or even 2H) is too slow to combo.
