  1. It's not worth it to use 2D like that. If Noel uses 2D and successfully makes a 2A whiff, then in most cases, the opponent can react with a punish, be it with an AA, or in some cases just a 5B if it's big and quick enough, like Ragna, boy I remember that 4k well. 2D is definitely a threat in other areas, but a reversal it is most certainly not.
  2. >Using 2D on wakeup as a reversal. Man you Noel haters are so precious.
  3. I need Relius exp as well, so this will work out, ESPECIALLY if I can play you offline, since you know, I don't bother blocking online. Literally, I will do anything in my power to not block, mash D, chicken block, delay tech chicken block etc. Since it's netplay, it works lol
  4. I was expecting to see you at Sunday's Fight Night, peeps said you were coming lol But yeah take a bus if you have to, in the meantime netplay should be ok.
  5. Myoro we should play sometime, since you can't make it to casuals, at least we can play a few online.
  6. Normally when the connection is too laggy I'll just let my opponent win. I have no problem being the bigger man and taking the hit, square color doesn't mean anything to me lol I do this by whiffing a few A moves, kinda like a connection test/"You feeling what I'm feeling bro?" then I'll just walk forward and let them hit me.
  7. Ending a combo in spring raid is generally a bad idea, because it allows your opponent to tech in the air, it doesn't give you any kind of oki. You want to end your combos in 22B ALWAYS, unless you're going for the kill, or there's not a good way to go into 22B, which will really only happen during 3C combos midscreen.
  8. How exactly would two people go about commentating a netplay tournament?
  9. Yeah I haven't updated the numbers yet. our CH 5C > 214A combo now does about 5.6k midscreen, and 6k in the corner. Midscreen: CH 5C > 214A > 5B/2B > 5C > sj.C > j.D > d.6B > d.6C > d.2D > d.6B > 22C~66 > 6C > 6B > 22B CH 5C > 214A > 5B/2B > 5C > sj.C > j.D > d.6B > d.6C > d.2D > d.6B > 22C~66 > 6C > 6B > 22B Corner: CH 5C > 214A > 5B/2B > 5C > sj.C > j.D > d.6B > d.6C > d.2D > d.6B > 236D > 6C(2) > 6B > 22 CH 5C > 214A > 5B/2B > 5C > sj.C > j.D > d.6B > d.6C > d.2D > d.6B > 236D > 6C(2) > 6B > 6D > Fenrir In fact, once I finish my four video series, I'll probably make a new thread for 1.1, though the combo routes aren't different, I kinda wanna do it just for completeness sake.
  10. No one likes fighting Noel. Especially Noel players.
  11. "MY TURN BITCH!"
  12. Don't even get me started on Valk. It's easily one of her worst matchups. lol
  13. Hakumen's actually one of the scarier matchups to play offensively as Noel. Due to the threat of his counters, Hakumen will actually get a lot more chances to escape, since Noel is gonna be trying to bait those like crazy. If you're in the Noel's head, you'll find yourself Countering drive when they go in, and escaping drive when they bait it.
  14. Where are you from? I'd be down to check this Noel out.
  15. If the Noel is using the right setup into the high/low, then the overhead will hit you out of jump startup everytime. Jumping will avoid the low though, but the overhead will upset you.
  16. Lol, good luck with that.
  17. Azrael's just gonna be mashing Growler like a New England Silly Nanny.
  18. BnBs are simply the combos you're going to be doing if you're playing to win. Nothing done purely for fanciness, nothing done purely for difficulty, just your go-to combos that give you the best positioning, and the best damage you can get while still getting oki.
  19. I'm currently working on the next BnB video in the series, assuming everything goes correctly, I should be able to release it next week sometime.
  20. I can't help because I'm still Orange, I just never seem to find any Orange players with a decent connection to me.
  21. Obligatory Fuck Noel post. Since I've said it, no one else has to.
  22. Toan, you can't derail a thread about Noel Gameplay discussion by discussing Noel's gameplay man lol.
  23. During pressure you can call out Murakumo backdashes with 2D, with the added benefit that if they don't backdash you get a crossup, and if they jump back, they're forced to block it at worst, at best they'll get hit out of jump startup. 2D is kind of an all purpose spacing tool now, it's kind of like a jump in with more commitment, as always it's biggest threats are anti-airs, and psychic airgrabs.
  24. That's not gonna be a great idea most of the time Toan, a Noel who actually knows what they're doing is gonna space the hell out of that. usually a well spaced 5C > Max Range 5D is used to get stuff going, from there we choose our path based on what you have done in the past when put in this situation. Also, if you try to throw, and we use 2D instead, you'll get CH, midscreen, a 2D when used at this point will also crossup.
  25. No, her BnBs are pretty much just straightforward stuff nowadays, no haida loops, no throw whiffs.
