  1. The biggest issue with this match-up, is the problem that even Hakumen has to face. No one benefits from nothing happen more than Relius. And I find it REALLY hard to pin him down at times, because when Ignis is down, all bets are off, he doesn't bother to fight you for anything. It's a tedious, annoying ass match-up. Still not as bad as Mu-12 but, few things are.
  2. [obligatory ranting and desire to commit suicide after a brutal session against a Ragna] Go ahead and delete. Mod edit: nah, it can stay
  3. I don't see how this is anywhere close to a fair or good matchup. I'm trying to be patient, but when all he needs is to 6D to shut down literally EVERYTHING I can do it's a bit tough to keep composure.
  4. Yeah, see problem is after I'm done with the Hornet Chaser > j.C > ad > j.C > Valiant, I'm too far away to land a 5A, and obviously the recovery on Valiant is too obnoxiously long to throw out a 5B in time unless they were at the absolute top of Valiant's hurtbox.
  5. lol what is this? Innovation? Best stick to our already recorded combos, friend. This, this....free thinking of yours is going to land you in some trouble one of these days!
  6. Hey I was wondering about the video, is he demoing on differing characters to show that they can be used on everyone? Or because they are only effective on some? Because I'm practicing on Jin, and no. 2 is giving me trouble. forward grab > Hornet > H. Chaser > j.C > ad > (delayed) j.C > Valiant > 5B > TCL > 3D I'm having a hard time connecting Valiant with a 5B.
  7. Would it stuff a cross up attempt? Like IAD > j.B?
  8. Well I do nothing but casual netplay (I stay the fuck away from the lobbies), and most Noels I fight use it in place of a DP. That's where I'm coming from I guess.
  9. I mean, as you said, and it's likely not news, but yeah her 4D is NOT lower body invulnerable. So yeah, if you can call it, 3C that shit.
  10. Jeez, now it feels more like a Hakumen Gameplay and Sad Discussion Topic :'( I think Hakumen's new loop is what I find so unappealing (as shallow as that sounds). I wished he had what they intended CP to be. All about quick bursts of combo damage and making matches quicker, at least I think it was their goal.... And then bunked all that shit when they introduced Terumi as a character.
  11. Yeah I was pretty much done until I actually did something to the stick so, back on topic.
  12. I think the warranty is something like 30 days and this was bought for Crimbus so...I'm pretty sure I'm out of range. But thanks for answering me, when I have the time maybe I'll give opening it a shot :|
  13. I have a Qanba Q4, don't know if that informs you anymore. I hope it's just as simple as tightening a screw.
  14. I know for me, it was a matter of getting used to having basically all close ranged normals. You pretty much have to be like 5A > 5A > 5BB > 5D > 5C > 6C > 5B > Gustav > 5A > 2D not the best example of a blockstring but you are essentially trying to be all around unpredictable, which is what can make Az so damn scary. Or at this point you should have put the fear of god into them and you can start getting fancy with things like Sentinel, dash through cross up and the like. So basically, after a certain range you can throw out some moves without fear of retaliation. 5D on the edge of it's hitbox is pretty safe, if someone tries to react you can stuff them with a 5C, as it has a pretty good poke range to it. So after a time they might start thinking "well shit, he might throw out 5C or gustav and I'll get nailed, better keep blocking and wait for a 6D or something to punish." And then you fly in with 6B, which is a bit deceptive, or since they're still waiting for you to throw out another move, you dash in and start jabbing, and when they expect you to throw out a safe, fast move like 5B, they'll give you time to throw out Sentinel Dump, which is a pressure reset. It takes getting used to, and I know just setting a training dummy to block everything helps a lot. Man, I can barely do his throw combo or even get TCL to come out half the time. It's good in theory, but getting me to IAD every time? Nu uh. I'll take the sure thing each time.
  15. If you want to trade off the the damage, you can always do it at the end of a Valiant combo. Gives both weakpoints for awhile, sits them in the corner. Psychologically that'd freak me out.
  16. Wow, I really feel like Ragna can with this match up with 5B alone. It dominates the battlefield. One Ragna even wiffed a j.C, landed, and threw out a 5B as soon as he landed and just stuffed my attack. Incredible.
  17. I didn't see a hardware, or general discussion area. Just a kind of general gameplay discussion for each respective game. It seems that SRK has the appropriate topics but, the bad thing about that is that there's too MUCH information. And a lot of it in lingo I don't understand. http://forums.shoryuken.com/discussion/81882/info-thread-rules-faqs-and-tutorials-inside-read-this-before-hitting-that-new-thread-button
  18. Not trying to derail the topic, I just don't have any idea how to mod this thing, and I definitely don't want to fuck anything up.
  19. So, I fought this one Noel last night, and the biggest problem I had with her, was that I couldn't pin the bitch down. She kept staying out of my range, and mostly in the air. And at that point you would say, just use 2C. Except it wasn't that easy, she would do delayed double jumps, and then j.D, and continue chaining into other shit. She was constantly driving, so I couldn't just get in with Gustav and such. I don't know, have any of you witnessed this yet?
  20. Mmm, I'll keep working on it. if antything I'll just spam 46 until it happens. I actually have a bigger problem, if anyone knows how to repair or adjust things with arcade sticks that would be great. Because for some reason it seems to spaz out between numbers 1 and 2, which kills both my intended moves and blocking game.
  21. Sorry, I meant 2C > 2B > TCL I'm doing it how you said, I'm holding down the whole time. And like I said, 2B > 236C > 46C is fine, but it's like when I'm doing it fo realz, by starting it with 2C, it's mucking me up. I'm even watching the inputs in Training mode and everything looks correct, it just kind of refuses to do 46C sometimes.
  22. Due to muscle memory, you'll be tempted to j.B, but due to the blob's floaty nature, j.C is a better option.
  23. Sorry for the double post, wanted to know what you guys thought about this.
  24. Good find TheArm05, that info will be useful...for when I remember that I have a sock during a fight xP So now I'm having some real trouble with 2D > 2B > TCL I can do 2B > TCL but, I don't know, it feels like the pressure of pulling off the combo is getting to me. But it's strange, I'm doing it in Training Mode and the inputs all look correct.
  25. God, watching pros fight him is fucking depressing. I think I saw one clean win, and a few tricks that can work from time to time. I saw one cool thing where if you get magnetzied and you read his 5D, I saw him just Valiant right through that shit. I wouldn't call it a reliable solution by any means, but it was a good read, and beat it pretty clean. EDIT: So I tested this a bit more in a fight, granted I wasn't fighting any great Tagers or anything, but, when you're magnetized, you can expect certain things from Tagers. Among them, from outside of his grabs' range you might be able to call a 5D or sledge, and in that instance Valiant will super armor clean through a lot of his attacks. I'm not a huge advocate of reckless Valiant-ing, but in this case it is certainly something to consider, and not do it too often, obviously.
