  1. I think the main thing is that you can't really spend 25% meter for extra damage like in AC. This means RC and Supers are your only real ways to use meter for more damage. Only thing is that RC still seems better than supers in almost every situation outside of reversals while in hellfire.
  2. Ya, HEVEN's play in that Mikado 3v3 was great. Loved the IAD combos.
  3. Ya, the Acho Venom was really good regardless of if it was NO. He was doing the classic #R c.s>carcass loops also. Only thing he didn't use much of was QV which is understandable. Mostly relied on k ball>dash j.k oki. At the end he was doing some cool things utilizing Stinger stopping when it hits a ball and teleport. A real shame he only had like 2 matches on the vid.
  4. Delicious 480p Acho, will have to check that out later. @Daz: There was a great Ky, probably Ain, on the Mikado casuals. Some Zato and Venom in the Mikado tourney also.
  5. Proration is indeed only for damage now. It's not how many attacks have been done before they drop out, it is how many seconds/frames have passed since the combo began. For Amane, all A normals, his throws, 5c, 2c, all air C normals, and all D normals are S starters. What this means is that if you start the combo with these normals, you will have quite a bit less time before attacks start dropping. Everything else is N starter which means most normal combo routes should work fine. You also may just be trying to do too long a combo in general. It's hard to say what the exact problem is without the actual combo you performed and knowing where they dropped out.
  6. If it has commentary it might be the tournament. Not sure since I didn't get to watch it live.
  7. Some streams on Nico reset every 30min, not sure why.
  8. Jesus, this Blue Ky on Mikado stream is running through people. Does some great damage on crouching confirms into 3h>GS and it looks like ground VT loops are pretty easy to setup.
  9. Nico being surprisingly good to non-premiums. Haven't gotten kicked since a bit after the start. But ya, shit is laggy on ASW's end.
  10. Guess we could explore the 2c>6c>j.5d>j.b routes a bit more then. The old ones went into an air combo but I'm sure there is other stuff you can do with it also. Just depends on whether it ends up better than other post-patch options.
  11. Thanks to Aristo and Kurushii for the footage. Good stuff. Kind of scared to see optimal combos considering how high damage seems to be. Unless it scales way off after the first few hits.
  12. Pretty sure he means anti-airing somebody with 5b.
  13. Probably just means they are basically the same.
  14. Ya, haven't been able to stay in the stream for more than like 30sec as non-premium.
  15. She and Makoto definitely could use a bit of love. Though I do think people are underrating current Tsubaki a bit since you guys sound like she's as bad as the bottom tier. Though I was one of the people trying to find anything good and use it back in CS1 so maybe I'm overrating her since I'm also playing garbage tier this game.
  16. To be fair, 214214d super ended up being key for her to actually deal damage in CS1 and yet basically nobody used it. (Then again nobody used Tsubaki so ya lol.) The only nerf it looks like she got is Install SMP which is probably just because of that dumb fireball>charge>repeat combo. I imagine it is more made to make SMP matter and I doubt there aren't better combos out there that don't involve heavy SMP use.
  17. Even if for whatever reason her mixups and black whole are completely gone she'll still likely have great neutral and above average damage given the changes so far.
  18. Not to mention that backdashes seem universally changed from the system notes. Considering how good Azrael's backdash is, that may be a fairly big change. I'm more worried about Tao, Litchi, and Rachel honestly. They seem hardly touched as far as strength goes.
  19. To be honest, I feel like most of his 'weakness' is in his C normals and lack of defense. If 2a is sped up now that it hits only once, it will up his defensive game by giving him a better normal to hit on D. 5c recovery also helps this. I don't think he'll ever be top tier due to character design unless they make his drill gauge extremely easy to get to level 3 with aside from 6d. But these, along with the other characters' changes could make him high mid depending on how they work out. Though since most of the top tiers didn't really get nerfed at all it will be interesting.
  20. Top Tier nerfs seem surprisingly mild yet good for a new revision, I like it. But ya, Tao looking like only buffs so far is lol. Will probably be hidden stuff. Koko changes seem good depending on how the j2c buff and black hole change shake out.
  21. Well, it's more that Hariken might be legit for charging drill at neutral now. Hope 2a got sped up if it is only 1 hit now. Other than that, changes to pretty much everything expected. Looking good. Not sure why they nerfed 6d whiff charge lol, if you whiffed that you were dead anyway.
  22. It's more versatile, but it also is significantly easier to dive into compared to FRCs it seems.
  23. Biggest thing from watching the Litchi matchup is you almost never attempt to anti-air her. 6a is fantastic and gives you good rewards on CH. You really should go for it more.
  24. A better 5a and 2a would do wonders for him defensively.
  25. Ya, that half-moon front slash that Ky was doing seemed like it will be a staple for blockstrings since it looks to pretty safely put out a sigil thing. Also super hype for May now. That ball looks awesome and I can't wait for dolphin riding and YRC tricks.
