  1. Good news. He's been kind of low key as far as interest goes it seems, so hopefully this will give us a chance to see what he's all about. I'm assuming Terumi will also be playable there?
  2. I don't think she's ever gone higher than mid-tier really. You'd want to ask somebody more familiar with her like Honnou or Mynus for reasons though since she has huge damage and great mixups, so I'm not exactly sure what her drawbacks are.
  3. Though to be fair, we still don't know if Xrd is the new fighting game IP for the PS4 that they were talking about. Given that it probably isn't, I'd expect an announcement at some point.
  4. Wow, really loved the OD use in that combo video. I haven't watched enough Relius matches because I had no idea it powered up Ignis's moves like that along with the full time regen. RYO being godlike as usual.

  7. I loved Shadow's Hariken canceling into anti-jump reads. He was hari canceling a ton which was nice to see.
  8. Finally, the most important stuff. Astral combos! C attacks into astral will be so great rofl.
  9. Some very nice stuff in there. I'm a bit behind on match vids but those damage combos seemed like pretty good damage for midscreen and meterless.
  10. I will say this, while GG has a lot of behind-the-scenes nuances, you really don't need many of them to not go 0-2 at a tourney or have fun fighting other players. Esoteric things like 1 frame jumps, ID, and slashbacks aren't that big a priority. Just learn some BNBs, your most used FRCs, and focus on the things that make you do well in every fighting game ever. P4A and BB are definitely enough of a primer to get into GG. Don't let the "omg GG is soooo hard" bs fool you. =D

  12. So far from videos it seems like, lengthwise, the order from longest to shortest= Hit RRC, YRC, Block RRC, PRC. At least I'm pretty sure the hit and block RRC times were different.
  13. Ya, for in-community descriptions I usually say airdashers (though some 'anime' games don't fall under that). Otherwise just fighting games.
  14. The word Anime, in a fighting game context, simply means "I do not want to play your game but I have never tried it and thus will make up a reason for not trying it." Anime is not gameplay. Anime is not an art style. Anime is simply an excuse to not try bb/mb/p4/gg/etc and instead get back to playing marvel or whatever.
  15. Seeing how much time Red RC seems to give you for slowdown, I do wonder how the game engine would handle something like 5D>RC>2k or a similar sequence. I can't imagine it being unblockable but it'd be nice to confirm. Also wondering if damage was pumped up for loketest cause Ky was doin pretty nutty damage in the latest video with just like 4 hit stuff. I do like that supers do a ton though, gives them some purpose.
  16. So far only a few things I'd really like to see system-wise. It looks like every combo turns black now so hopefully they go back to differentiating it again along with showing where they could have teched. I also really wish they would have just done away with JI and simply made it a default state, though I guess raw super jumps would be weird that way. Other than that, game looks amazing both gameplay-wise and visually. I don't much like the art for May but her in-game looks great so I don't really care.
  17. Probably took Xie's troll tweet about doing launch>air combo>otg super seriously. Thanks for all the info btw Elven and Stunedge. Game looks great and I really like all the new move additions since they seem to give a lot of creative freedom on how to use them.
  18. Baiken has been in every game so far, can't really imagine her being out. If anything I'd say characters that seem less popular like robo/hos/i-no would be left out first.

  22. So 2 questions with RCs: Can you do the whiff RC anytime during the move or only after the active frames start (so the system knows it 'whiffed')? Is there no way to cancel specials on whiff or pre-active/post-active frames now?
  23. I think main things are just system stuff. Things like how the RC system works, if little bits like 1 frame jumps or FD braking still works. I'd also really like to know if JI is still a thing or if they simply baked it in to the jump like in BB.
  24. Man, if the ball jump thing ends up like Bang bumpers I'd be super happy. Guess it depends on exactly what the 22k move does though.
  25. Why blame Mori for Dizzy lol? She's been super fanservice since X. Though I would love to see an alt costume of her in the black gown thing that she wears in her intro.
