  1. Thank so much for the extra tips Agi, it's much appreciated. ^^
  2. So does that only count if you use them online a lot of does using them offline count towards that?
  3. For pretty good mixup and decent oki, pick Litchi. For hard to master yet rather deadly "sandwich" pressure and unblockable setups/resets..pick carl. (Though he's looking eh in CS2 so the effort to master him may/may not be worth it...) But if oki is your main game..Mu has probably some of the most varied setups out of the cast. She has meh-ish mixup though since she's primarily a zoning character.
  4. I think it's pretty normal. I started with Tao in CT. Eventually I realized I didn't like "in your face" characters very much and found Nu, and discovered zoning is fun. CS came around, obviously I was playing Lambda. Then I realized pressing D that much drove me crazy. Then I found Mu more recently and discovered she's the perfect blend of zoning and melee that I was looking for. My roommate still doesn't have a solid main yet.
  5. Thanks everyone, especially your awesome wall of text Zeromus. :D It was really helpful. Oh, and the times I grabbed her I was actually just going for throw > 6A > j.2C > 2B > 6A > 2C > j.C > j.2C > 2B > super. but I whiffed the 2B after the j.2C pretty much every time... But yes, my hit-confirming is a big weak point for me. I've no experience with actual fights so end up at a loss for what to do when one of my hits actually connects. I've gotta work on this, so I'll stop losing out on damage. Either way I'm very glad that my current level isn't that bad, I was expecting much worse. :3 Thanks very much for all the advice. I'll definitely work on applying it all in my gameplay.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stYsRAqMfqE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPff5zA9wqI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p06pcSBcrog http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7c3IoV5pOw Okay so. I'm very hesitant at posting these, as I'm very bad when it comes to taking criticism. I decided though that if I wanna improve I gotta take the hits, since I probably can't see all of my mistakes on my own, and I know it's helpful, not hurtful. So I guess, do your worst and completely pick these matches apart. One thing to note though are my frequently whiffed 2Bs. This however isn't actually normal for me, I swear. ^^;; Netplay isn't something I do frequently (or ever...really), and even a teeny bit of lag messes me up. It's also good to note that these matches are the first time I've actually ever fought anyone seriously since settling on Mu as my main. For awhile now my only experience with Mu has been practicing setups and combo execution in training mode. >.<; (I lack offline comp and don't like netplay…so ehhh… orz) The other matches that are up on my channel are not long after I had just picked her up and are not good examples of my actual gameplay. Please ignore them…they're awful. o.< Stuff I'm aware of after watching these replays…. I've got a nasty habit of abusing j.2C, and use it raw far too often. My stein placement is pretty bad, and I get far too greedy and throw out 3C too much. I rush senselessly without stein cover a lot, and I mash DP instead of actually looking for openings to use it a lot of times. My pressure strings are also pretty awful. I also IAD a lot, which I know is bad to do too much. I forget about barrier guarding and CAs, and always forget to pay attention to my guard primers until I end up getting crushed…I also burst pretty badly. tl;dr: Depite messing with this game for a few months now, I have only just started seriously playing it recently, so I need any and all the help and advice I can get. Since BB is my first fighting game, I have a long way too go before I get anywhere...
  7. Dayum thats nice. Man I really want that Chun stick...loving that translucent blue...D: It'd look killer with a template I have in mind...
  8. Why...why did I click it..cannot be unseen.. Th-that..that is just...xD
  9. SoD > SoD Lol. I like that. Also the dash under crossup after an air throw, don't Lambdas do that one too? Either way I like it. :3 Crossunder 2B is too fun..
  10. Edited my post with additional info. And np. :] Glad to help.
  11. http://shoryuken.com/f177/how-add-custom-art-your-te-fightstick-swap-simple-options-186905/ It really is very easy. I had absolutely no experience with this kinda thing when I did mines. I was paranoid of messing up at first too...but it was pretty n00b friendly so it was all good. Oh, and my art is held in place by a plexi cover I got from here: http://www.tek-innovations.com/ It's makes swapping art multiple times a breeze and makes the surface smooth and more natural feeling.
  12. I modded mine myself, a lot of people do. The TE is pretty easy to mod though really. Custom builds are a different story though~
  13. No prob. :] Happy to share.
  14. Yeah sure thing. :] I don't have the PSD anymore though...I saved a flattened version on accident. I do have the jpeg though. It's still plenty large enough to extend to the red area on the TE Full Panel template though... Full Res Download Edit: Oh, almost forgot. I also made a matching Start/Select area template as well if you want that too: Full Res Download Ignore the ugly glare on the photo, it looks quite nice in person.
  15. Why you keep poking me lady? You crazy.

  16. Oh yeah. The wiring on that looks VERY nice, despite the layout being ugly. I love clean wiring. The wiring in the TE drives me nuts. It's so bad when you first open it for mods then when you're done and try to close it again...bunched up wires trying to fit into the cramped space inside the TE's case. Thats probably one of the first things I did to mine...reorganize the wires best I could. Speaking of that, back to what this thread was made for. My TE: Temporary art with one of my subs till I get the one I want printed. Also: My cat thinking my roommate's TE was a good pillow. We were in the process of modding it at the time and she refused to move lol.
  17. MK layout isn't universal really. It's a one game thing. Using and MK stick to play GG, BB or whatever would not work out. MK stick is for MK. They really SHOULD have done a more universal layout for it though.
  18. Thats the MK layout for you. It looks very awkward to play on though.
  19. That answers all my questions. ^^ Cathy definitely sounds like my kinda girl then. Zoning and oki are probably my favorite playstyles. Thanks so much for all of that.
  20. It definitely helps but...nyeh, I'm seriously trying to avoid using Schar...though she does look like a character I'd like. The mizuumi wiki actually suggests Catherine as a good zoner/trap character, especially combined with the wind Arcana. Does this sound right? If she's truly just a heavy hitter though I'l probably avoid her. I never liked heavy characters. The other character I'm looking at is Petra...she looks interesting.
  21. So, who's the best zoner/trap character in this game?
  22. This is pretty badly (and rudely) worded advice. Lemme clarify... A lot of people I know, myself included, started off by drawing in anime style. Eventually you do have to transition away from it and develop your own style though, and yes anatomy is quite important so definitely learn that. Dark pencil strokes aren't always a bad thing, sometimes they compliment the right part of a piece, but should be used sparingly. Dark pencil strokes also don't mean HARD strokes either. They're usually produced by going over an area multiple times with a light touch, or with softer leads which produce darker lines. "Smudging" (blending is a better term) to shade when it comes to pencils ALSO isn't a bad thing, pros use this technique al the time, but you should never use your finger to do it. The oil your skin produces makes the blending uneven and splotchy. They make special tools to blend graphite, so I'd invest in that. If not, a light touch with a tissue or a cotton swab works wonders and is 100x better then your finger. Anyways, based on the drawings you've posted...I definitely say take a look at some real life references and practice your anatomy. Learn to sketch. Stuff like this: http://browse.deviantart.com/traditional/#/d34p046 is also really useful. It's good to take time to see how the pros do it. Learning to shade properly is very important for a pencil artist...
  23. Hey Circ Luna loves you and thanks you wholeheartedly for the Valk spites. She literally squeed in happiness when I told her they were up. You are indeed quite awesome.
  24. Would have but I got mine awhile before that deal even existed~ Needless to say I was like "FFFFFF....." Ah well. I'll just get both prints and switch it when I feel like it.
  25. Currently deciding which ass I want on my stick right now: or Such a difficult choice...
