  2. I don't run a low-class walk-in place bro. You need to make an appointment. She's just gotta run up and wait for the parry to end, unfortunately. I think it should not generally work against people that have seen it before or well, know what to do. If I'm not mistaken, of course.

I parried legacy edge yesterday. he ran up to me while it was parrying all the hits, and then when the hits stopped the catch stunned him and I did the followup. it was hilarious stuff, even if a gimmick. Granted one worth taking sometimes, because a lot of the time blocking a legacy edge means the round is over.
  4. I was fooling with parry yesterday because it occurred to me that I probably should make use of it more than I have been. Really is serious damage with an RC.. but so difficult. Need to see if, with practice, it becomes good enough on the risk-reward side.seems like it should be.
  5. Yeah, I think this is probably the news for a lot of us. Time to import. Kinda too bad, because that means sales on the US version will be that much lower.

Break shot (3) FC> LA > Gazer> 5cc>2d>2c>LA>Gazer>5cc> air ender (4597) Break shot (3) FC> LA > Gazer> 5cc>2d>2c>LA>Gazer>5cc>PF (5343) both midscreen. you can of course get more in the corner. possibly impractical burst bait combo. 5cc> infinite rush> 667>block> jc.jcc>6a> (corner>2d3> 2c> star ender, midscreen 2d1>5b>6a>air ender)

  12. Something to remember. Add 2? I think it was to those numbers if the opponent is using barrier. You can easily reset if they are using barrier. Also, against most characters you can add 1 just because all your pokes are at least 1 frame faster. If playing against tsubaki, her 5a is 6 frames and her 2a is 7 frames. no matter what she chooses she's down 1 frame if you reset after 2b. Hazama has a 5 frame 5a and a 6 frame 2a, but his 5a doesn't hit crouchers. so if you come back in with 5a, you're up against his 2a, but if he mashes out with 5a, that's not the case. But it's a gamble for him too. etc. but against most characters you can reset with impunity, outside of reversals. You can totally go to town on Valk or Lambda.

  14. it's worse in CP. it's lame enough that he can combo off it normally, but he can also combo off the strong one. which is a lot more practical now when he can move forward while staying in the stance, and when in the stance he has a serious DP which leads to a lot of damage, *and* he has a command grab out of it now too (with heat), which makes you not just want to sit there.. overall I feel like Makoto barely has any more tools in CP. the difference between resetting after lunatic upper with 2a and resetting with lander blow is minimal. Ray is of limited usefulness. Shooting star is lame. I think she really plays the same *shrug*. Reward and Oki are potentially better, though damage is lower if you take oki.. Damage is probably in a comparable position in CP vs EX if you don't take oki. (That is, she does less damage, but most characters do.. we do pretty good damage in EX, but so do a lot of other characters.)
  15. have to enter the stance doesn't make it a 25F overhead, it makes it a 19f overhead that you can do after entering a stance.
  16. haz's overhead is actually a 19f overhead that you can combo off of. He's got a throw immune command grab which if I recall correctly can go to 2 or 3k meterless in CP?
  17. nah I didn't. He gets stupid damage off everything now, and that OD SMP combo is dumb too. Comboing off his overhead is dumb too. I don't know if it's dumb but if you sit there and try to block, you eat the command grab DD... it was the same way with EX. they pick a character to go hog wild(ragna) with while nerfing almost everyone.
  18. I played against some Hazama when I was in Japan. It was bullshit alright.
  19. I have a problem with Litchi and Noel. Jin and Valk don't bother me outside of the can't pick them up with 5b or 6a problem, but they're easy enough for everything else. Jin and Valk's hitboxes don't affect what I have to do outside of combos. Litchi and Noels' do. because for the same reason comet cannon is annoying on them, other stuff also whiffs on them - 5b 5c and 5cc. to some degree can deal with this by minimizing use of 5cc but it changes how you have to confirm stuff. within combos I super jump when I leave the ground against every char except Litchi. not really a problem, except I sometimes forget.
  20. the thing about me is I play 95% online with connections ranging from 0s to 3s, and against various chars. it's very interesting trying to figure out the netplay lag from match to match in order to land a PF3. But I try to avoid the tighter combos if I have a reasonable alternative as a result.
