  1. nope, but let's be honest. giving her a hitbox on the tail would change almost nothing but 2a. which would still be an absurd move that low profiles if you aren't on top of her, in 6 frames, hits low, has 5b range, and is a jab. i can't wait to repeatedly dp tao in CP
  2. tail should have hitbox, IMO.
  3. sorry I missed your message here.
  4. does anyone want to play?
  5. j236a/j236D ground the opponent and release a projectile a few frames later. then you can use a whiff j214x to get to the ground and do stuff. I don't know of any way for jin to do anything like that. this is all doable in EX with j236D, but that requires an extra charge, and also requires a charge to followup if not in the corner, or 50 heat. none of that would be true in CP, with charged 22d always wall bouncing, and j236A giving you the projectile for free. plus charged 22d having almost no recovery time in CP.
  6. being twice as fast to become unblockable? not requiring 25 heat to do it? being able to start charging the unblockable with a projectile in the air before the target has even teched?
  7. If you make people accidentally look at Chubaki, you're treading on thin ice.
  8. they could have made it guard crush outside of mugen though. you can see in one of the recent vids someone do it, just gets barrier'd, and doesn't even really consume any guard meter, even though it consumes a ton of your mugen charge to do it. and I doubt you could cancel 2cc into mugen and still get j236A to hit. but you could have mugen active before hand. But then you consume a lot of your mugen charge while they wait as long to tech. It wouldn't be unfair to have something anyway, we were able to set up unblockables in EX, but it needed/needs 3 charge and 50 heat. And that still very rarely saw/sees use... but yeah projectiles is why I think unblockable is not unblockable too.
  9. there's some more goro up. more matches, that basically look like the new specials don't exist outside of OD combos. lunatic upper > reset or lunatic upper > chopper or gazer. I wanted to like lander blow. still think there might be some good use to be had for cosmic ray now and then.
  10. I suspect we'll be seeing some more of the old people when CP is out. Fun game... CP throws us back into the 'decent' tier which will be nice... especially if you like mashing DP. Good luck with your tournaments bro.
  11. Picking Mu in that lag was a good decision but not one that I can respect.
  12. tsubaki deserves no respect tsubaki has a worse version of taokaka pressure Holy fuck I just took 1500 damage I'm never doing that again
  13. stop mac do you want to be astraled again?
  14. who are you losing to then?
  15. did you play badIime?
  16. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21826783 very interesting stuff in here
  17. well, at least the quickest you can get an overhead counter in CP is 5 frames. which means that he's not really so advantaged for handling overheads I think. couple frames faster than jabs. granted can still mash 2d while trying to ib, I guess, like playing p4a.
  18. you know it's not like Hakumen really has to be low on life. he can be full on life and put out really high numbers, not to mention he's got 7k+ combos off 2as. He puts out so much damage so fast that he can basically ignore the combo time system penalties.. Which is why he can do this off throws and counters and jab starters. Some characters can put out a lot of damage, but I guess one of the biggest differences I can see is that.. He can do it off pretty much anything. You can see other characters put out high damage, but you don't see it off anything.
  19. they let him do 80% combos off counters, seems like a more than fair tradeoff
  20. No, that isn't at all all that they have. They both have some of the best backdashes in the game, and taokaka in particular has one of the best mash out pokes in 2a, has crawl, and has a 1f invulnerable to lows move to go with her crawl and low hitboxes. Both of them also have reversal DDs that go very far. Valk has frame 1 head invuln on his transform to wolf.
  21. fundamental character design does have a lot to do with it, that's why S tier always looks familiar. But damage and other stuff that do actually tweak are large factors...
