that's what I'm trying to do right now highly odd for me getting used to this char, so different from the others I have played.
-
ah I was, I can get back on
-
I don't even know why I would use A Lobelia within range of 3c yet TBH. Why again? but I probably don't need to watch too much, I just need some amount of games against people who tolerate my sucking.
-
i need people who can tolerate playing my totally ass Rachel over the coming weeks and months also shoutouts to sadeyo 'recreating the room'

I should be ok with that, I'm not coming from characters with wonderful DPs.. on this combo I'm totally mashing too hard. Think I got it now. Though it is slightly easier, at the moment, if I do j.B>j.C since it slows the pace down a bit. on cat chair. Can you not get oki, or is it too hard, if you cat chair someone falling from BBL. Totally possible to do BBL > george > 2C> have george hit right on the ground as 2c is ending. Would think there would be enough time to do an a lobelia to get oki and be good damage...

I'm not precise enough with my stick. when I want to do the lvl j2c combos I end up getting 1 or 3 winds too much. doing too many inputs at once and end up just vaguely pushing my stick in the down direction and end up slightly in the 3 or 1 region. got a feel for it anyway. I guess need to get it so it isn't an alien motion and then it will be similar to doing combos for other characters. What is actually the hardest part of playing Rachel? in a general sense and in a technical sense.
-
he would be copying my mistake probably b/c I think I said that. heh. Thanks.
-
Yeah, I dunno, kind of doubles as pressure practice too though. I don't think a 3c launch is difficult anyway, and doesn't seem to be used a whole lot in CP besides. The thing to learn off a 3c launch in EX is I guess probably the j2C combos. I did try to look at the tutorial vids on it but seemed to be in the jourdal graveyard. tho I guess it is time to learn that.

What character can easily get opportunities to do 6k without OD in CP?
-
Best of 5 is rough on the weaker players.
-
reverse input bbl, normal input george, problem solved. If your BBL fails listen to her voice. probably doing the air one instead of the ground one. someone tell me how many hits I should be able to get off 5b>2b>5b>J3bd>jc>(loop)? Just want to get this down solidly..
-
yeah, unclear to me why it is listed, really, j.B isn't good dmg/proration. but you just have to input it in reverse if you do that.
-
spike chase is frame 1 full invuln, projectile is guaranteed on frame 30 and invuln ends on frame 35

I'm thinking like, max range 5b, I don't know if it is going to hit, or be blocked, probably can know if they are going to be standing or crouching, but if they blocked they might be crouching in a moment. so I would think to go for a j.A instead of a j.B. it is a different story if you did something like 5b>2b>5b (max range) and you see you're hitting, then sure, j.3db. I guess that is what TD meant? I thought 7 hits on 3c only prorated once. is it different?
-
Yeah, I got that. I was thinking along the lines of 5b>5c>3c7d>5b.. where the 3c hits 7 times and you can still launch with 5b afterwards. 7d so that you can actually get all of the held 3c hits, and lift them enough to followup with 5b, but not something like j.C... Don't know if what I'm saying doesn't make any sense or what. if you get a max range 5b are you going to confirm into j3db instead of just hitting j3da or something? I'm too new at this Rachel stuff... but it would count as a yomi-confirm for me and I would probably go for j.A, on the assumption that it would work on a crouching opponent, or that it wouldn't have a gap on a standing blocking opponent.
-
at least in CP you can kill her with 1 combo
-
I was thinking of it as a plus, offering you the option to sideswitch, but then I guess I can you sideswitch either way, you just don't have to deal with the input oddness if you skip the j.B. But at any rate, nice to have people around to ask stuff, cause I wasn't sure and I don't remember seeing any note of these intricacies in the combo thread... I guess standing confirm 5b > j3dbc instead of 5b> 6DC is good in EX because of proration, but in CP 6c has strong proration so maybe this won't be used anymore? 5b> IOH being a different story.. kind of an autopilot combo :P Is there any use for 3[c]>wind as a launcher? If I remember right you can use 7d to get all your 3[c] hits in and manage to follow with 5b with the same wind..
-
xx>3c>236b>5a5b>j.B>j.C>jc>j.B>j.C>214C>BBL.
-
Starting to get a handle of the combos some now. Though maybe someone can tell me something about the BBL extender. When I was doing the one where you're in the air and do j.214C>BBL, I seemed to have the best luck doing BBL with the reverse input (on the other side of them by the time I can input BBL). What way do other people do this? Then when I get on the ground it seems like I can take either side, but probably helps to hold one dir or the other for a bit to get the direction really fixed before I try to put george out. The standing confirm with wind is something like > 5b> j.3dbc> 5b> whatever (3c, 5cdc, 5cd3c,6cd)? Been trying to fool around with stuff like 5b> j.C> j.C> 2d> 5b because it feels CPish.. although I guess not so good in EX, no choice for ender except pumpkin oki unless you BBL I guess.
-
i meant in CP on that. think I just saw NO do like, 6a wind up 5b. maybe I wasn't looking closely enough
-
TY. at the same time kinda seemed like the best to me anyway.
-
I'm not really, I don't know the notation for this Rachel stuff. And I have no idea as of yet how you are supposed to properly hitconfirm all this shit, which will come with playing more than 4 matches I guess. The gist of what I am getting though, and see now, is that pressing wind a couple frames apart won't really make a difference anywhere. that said some number of frames does make a difference..and have to keep in mind not screwing up wind directions.. IOH will probably give me fits for a while by screwing up wind directions. Weird fucking character and I thought someone said 6a didn't launch anymore but it clearly seems like it does? but you need wind to followup, like 3c I guess.
-
Ah, yeah, that would do it.
-
try stuff like, 5b> 3DC>236B. it won't work.
-
OD data is something like 18 frames total recovery, and it is fully invulnerable. But 18f is slow. Most other chars I have seen, if they do wakeup OD, they only get out if their opponent pressed a slow button. If their opponent pressed a jab, then it's just a delay of the oki situation. so it's like, Your od would have to like, enable something that is plus on block and happens while you are in invuln. Or do something while you are in block stun maybe. Whatever, you get the idea.
