  1. Good job with the non-fixes, Arc Sys, I love you guys.
  2. I don't really get this; None of Azrael's stuff looks visually impressive to me (oooh, a slow motion punch! So thrilling!), and his "I kick j00! A whole lot!" is the dumbest looking combo in the game. Why do people like this stuff?
  3. So, uh, I thought Black Hole wasn't supposed to work in the corner anymore? x.x
  4. Not sure I'm going to make it to this tonight. Currently not feeling very good. -_-
  5. The technical term is "Rage burst" :P
  6. Thank you, master of option selects! But yeah, I was only worrying about this in the corner - where spacing on the 5B isn't a problem. 5CC works? Looking at the numbers, it seems like it COULD, but the timing looks awkward - you'd need to delay 5CC slightly after 5C, I think?
  7. Additional pet peeves: No more train while waiting for matches in player rooms. WHY? This was such a nice feature! Quick messages no longer remember your place in the list AND "Thanks for the Games" "That was fun" "Bye-bye" are no longer all clumped together. UI design fail, Arc Sys.
  8. Gadget finger "reversal" timing is slightly different from what it seems like it should be, so it's probably something that's worth practicing in training mode. Also, Req Vinum is both a "Foot" attack (Loses to things that have foot invul like Jin/Hakumen 6B) and a Projectile (Loses to things with Projectile Invuln, like Sledge.). Note that "Projectile" is a weird property - a move that is invulnerable to projectiles is invulnerable to projectiles regardless of what other properties it might have, whereas moves invulnerable to other things need to be invulnerable to ALL the other things. (i.e. if a move has both foot and body properties, a move needs to be both foot and body invuln to avoid it. Projectile is the weird exception.)
  9. Yeah, but Arc Sys is the only license holder here, unless you think the artist who drew Hat Noel somehow retained the rights and...yeah. :P
  10. Yeah, you're reading that completely backwards. He seemed to be asking if it was worth picking an "overpowered" character.
  11. That seems silly. It's not Arc's job to sell the Vita, it's Sony's. And the appeal of purchasing BB for the Vita isn't going to be "So I can select Hat Noel."
  12. So something that has sortof been working for me against Azrael backdash nonsense. Meaty 5A >LINK> 5B. This will get you a 5B punish if he backdashes, and if he just blocks the 5A, you probably won't get mashed out of 5B startup unless he's mashing really furiously. Also, if reactions are good, you can quickly mash 5A yourself and turn it into a stagger instead. In theory, this should actually work with 5C as well, which would be safer and potentially more rewarding. Curious to see if more talented people can make use of this - I haven't had anyone try to mash me out of it yet, but they might just not have figured out what's going on.
  13. PSN pet peeve again. In XBL, I used to be able to see people in my friends list...and then join their Player match if there was room. In PSN, it's like "Yeah, you've got friends! They're all playing BBCP! good luck getting into the same room as any of them!" Bite me Sony. You too, ASW.
  14. well, she's LESS overpowered now, but still rather OP. How does that make her "not worth learning" though?
  15. Roll is only like 40 frames long total, so you're just going to have to keep practicing to improve your recognition. You can use the training dummy for this though - set them to random ground tech and just do corner combos.
  16. Which DP are you thinking of? The only one I can think of that combines large numbers of active frames and a forward hitbox is... INFERNO DIVIDER! Which is good, but it's not really representative.
  17. I don't think I can make it either. TSB?
  18. Believe it or not, I don't have anything against a lot of moves. Mu even has some of them. Actually, I think the only Mu move I legitimately hate in this game is j.2C. Necro, I don't know why you think otherwise, but there's nothing defensive about my post. It was an out and out attack post.
  19. Get over it. j.2C has a moronic hitbox and beats 114 kinds of stuff that it absolutely shouldn't. They should let people airgrab you out of it from full screen. :P Okay, hyperbole, but I hate that move and I'm glad they nerfed it.
  20. It still crosses up on ground hit. It just doesn't have the weird, unpredictable "oops your opponent somehow bounced backwards over your head" effect on airborne opponents mid combo.
  21. This is backwards. Every character's drive should be an ADVANTAGE. Sadly, this is not the case for some characters. (Tsubaki, as designed has a drive that is basically a penalty. Makoto's drive is just an extra chance to time your combos wrong.)
  22. Maybe they fixed it so that it works at all? Because I remember that stupid video of 1.0 Hazama in OD just doing chain after chain after chain and the combo never dropping as if the SMP weren't working at all.
  23. Yeah, I have a suspicion that SMP actually does affect damage a bit even though the wiki says it doesn't.
  24. CT is "+2" on block, but really +3, since if they blocked it, they barriered it.
  25. Did we establish that 6C > 22B is somehow a frame trap? @_@ 'cause that makes no sense to me at all unless you are holding 22B or something.
