  1. Yup, that'd be the person I'd like to ignore. It's not that I 'talk' to anyone in speech bubbles, but if that clown is near where I am, his stupid speech pops up on screen regardless of whether chat is open or not.
  2. Sadly, yeah, turning off chat doesn't mean that chat messages don't display in their speech bubbles. And, you know, maybe there was someone I was talking to, also. :P
  3. Okay, so, Arc Sys has apparently made a game that has a chat system, but no functionality to mute jackasses? Good one guys.
  4. Wait, wait. Is GG all "Oh, combos are so easy, 'cause they're all so short and you BB people who are not learning this game are wusses" or is it all "GG average combos are so hard that the only BB combo that exceeds them is insane Arakune swag"? Because it can't be both and the fact that people represent it that way is offputting at the least.
  5. Yeah, but "Worth the effort" is something that varies from person to person. Why is GG "Worth the effort" when a new version is coming out that will change everything and I'm already playing several games that require me to learn tons of stuff? Its' a sizable time commitment, and there are several reasons why it might not be "worth it" in spite of the high opinion in which some people hold GG. So maybe it's less "give up before you truly try" and more "Why should I try in the first place when this game doesn't offer anything I'm not getting elsewhere?"
  6. Yeah. The difference between making a 26 frame overhead the equivalent of a 22 (4 frames of lag) is way more significant than the difference in taking a 20 frame overhead and making it a 16. P.S. F*&&** YOU, Arc Sys. Why is Tsubaki's overhead so goddamn slow?
  7. While it's theoretically possible there might be something wrong with the stick, odds are you'd notice it in other places as well. Do you see weirdness when doing 236? 623? When just moving around do you randomly jump or crouch? If the answer to those is 'no' then it's almost certainly your execution. Can you do the motion extra slow and get it right?
  8. I think I got this pink mostly for beating the same couple of people a bunch of times. That shouldn't count. -_- And wow, PSN is crap tonight. Kicked EVERYONE out for a bit. Pet peeve: PSN
  9. Next pet peeve: My fraudulent pink square. WTF, how did this happen? I was expecting to get kicked out of orange any minute now.
  10. Negatory; Guest from out of town. I didn't get a feeling that they were rooting for anyone in particular in the bits I watched, but maybe the local hero just wasn't on at that point.
  11. It was kindof entertaining, but c'mon, if I wanted to watch a stream of E3, I'd be doing it from the comfort of home. I'm trying to play people at games to get better at playing people at games. That's why I'm bothering to leave the house. /cranky
  12. So the solution for this, therefore, is to do something like: 5B > Delay > 2B, because they're figuring "If it's the low, it'll come out right away, so after a few frames I switch to high block"? I guess for best effectiveness you'd keep the stick at neutral until you did the 2B.
  13. Well, the end of his leg is one thing - most attacks have hitboxes that reach slightly further than their hurtbox. Attacks that don't are generally considered a little weak as a result. The question is, of course, how MUCH further the hitbox extends. There's "Barely" and "Rather a lot" and, of course, "Hakumen" (To be fair, Hakumen is a special case because he needs to be able to cut projectiles). But if Azrael's entire 'jacket' extension is not a hurtbox, allow me to issue yet another Azrael-related F-You, Arc Sys. :P I don't think we have Hitbox data for CP yet though, which is a shame.
  14. Wait, are you saying that Kokonoe's normals are retarded? I don't know what leads you to that conclusion! an Anti-air with invulnerability on frame 4 until...you feel like it should end is TOTALLY FAIR AND BALANCED. How dare you, Sir or Madam, how DARE you?
  15. Well, I swung by, and it was insane; All the smash people were smooshed up around the area we use for FGs to watch the stream of Smash stuff from E3. I didn't stay, it wasn't encouraging.
  16. Because it doesn't HAVE A hitbox. It's just "if you hit what would be a hitable part of him, he counters you." It CAN'T have a hitbox, because otherwise, it could hit you, and it's a counter, so that would make no sense.
  17. Say Hakumen's name three times and mAc Chaos appears?
  18. Anti-air extra early? Worst case you clash. But mostly I'm afraid you want to play a ground game, and a very patient game in general. 3C is mysteriously good in neutral in this matchup. Or was in Extend anyway. Not much Hakumen experience yet.
  19. Huh, I didn't even realize you could hold 3C; Sometimes I used to mash it, and that does the same thing, but I've mostly trained myself out of that. The only time I can think of when you might want to use a shorter version is when you see your opponent jumping. But yeah, I feel your pain. I am only very slowly getting rid of mashing habits. Interestingly, combos I learn NOW I'm less likely to mash on than combos that I learned back in The Day. I mash the CRAP out of 5BB > 5CC >236B>214B>22B. It's probably more like 5BBBB,5CCCCC>236BB>214B214BB214B>2BB2B2BB2BBB :P
  20. How do you even manage to get charges? I feel like everytime I charge the wolf flies in and now it's me-failing-to-block time.
  21. Pfff, most of my complaints are legitimate gripes about the crappy design of the non-fighting parts of this game. :P
  22. Technically, this is not correct; Hazama also has, if not a "dead zone" then a "weak zone" just beyond the range of his 2B. Technically, he CAN hit you with chains at that range, but it doesn't do anything because the short range versions aren't very good.
  23. Any advice on how to play neutral in this matchup other than 'move around a lot'? =/ Edit: to clarify, it feels like everytime I move forward on the ground, I get a wolf cannon in the face; How do you punish these at neutral, since it feels like he just flies past me and cancels into another for whatever he wants.
  24. Yeah. The place you DON'T want to be in this matchup is about 3/4ths screen - this is within chain poking range and he can pretty much do whatever you want. You want to either be closer than that, or as far away as possible. And sorry, chzchan, but that's basically ALL of Tsubaki's matchups. This one doesn't feel appreciably worse to me.
