Oh yeah I was about to forget, I discussed this with Kaeru on Sunday. We were thinking about how to setup the recording so it would be able to take input from a PS3, but it really doesn't look easy or better so we'll just stick with the Xbox. That said, it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy an additional PS3 to 360 converter, some of us could probably split the cost, so 2 pad warriors playing each other doesn't give one a serious disadvantage. Another thing would be that maybe we should get a 360 copy of bbcs and buy the DLC so they're always there and we don't end up unable to record stuff because Nini or Eb aren't there. So, if anyone know someone who owns a 360 copy of the game but doesn't play it anymore who'd be willing to sell it to us, let us know and we'll figure something out. By the way, I'm done uploading, I think. I sorta stopped doing it in order at some point so if I forgot someone, just let me know. Also, anyone who has access to the MTLBB account, feel free to organize, edit, rename, etc. I do a pretty bad job of it. Finally, don't hesitate to post this in your respective boards for advice if you want to, I don't mind.

I have your copy, sent you a text today. Yeah actually it was my copy that was missing and I had mistook mine for yours. When I found my copy with the tape from Ottawa on it today I facepalm'd, sorry man. And I should be there Thursday. I don't know if I feel like playing marvel though, I'll focus on BB commentating and playing, and then on GG. Well, I still have to check with Cranky if the equipment will be there Thursday night since LANETS starts Friday. (maybe I'll play you Sunday, Nini, if you get there early enough ) One thing I have been thinking about was whether or not to start ranbats or danisens now that we have the recording/streaming working. Personally, I would prefer keeping it to a simple "winner keeps playing" rule, 2/3 matches, with X games in a row limit, or something like that, but I'm not opposed to starting something more complicated if you guys are up. I just don't want to have shit like "oh I'm better than you my Dan is higher than yours you fail at life" and related drama. I think we're at a point where anyone has a legit winning chance against anyone else, so each game can be hype without the need for a ranking system. I'm uploading and splitting up video atm. I also created the playlists, Nini, try to add them to the respective lists. By the way, what software are you using Nini? I'm on Windows Live Movie Maker, and it keeps crashing (yes I know, it just works well on my desktop, get at me). By the way, I'm uploading in order. So it might be a while before it becomes anything that isn't Level5Chan vs Nini Heart :P

Hype meet was hype, uploading stuff atm, dunno when I'll get it all done, but it's going to take a while. Gotta get more people to come though, having long sets between 2 people may be very good for learning matchups, but at some point IMO the hype dies a bit and I enter autopilot mode (in a bad way). Also, it's less entertaining to commentate and rewatch, I did my best though, and it's good experience. When shit gets real, I'll be ready. Also, since next weekend is LANETS, I'm guessing the recording equipment will shift over there for a few days, I really hope it'll still be at the HQ on Thursday. I'll ask cranky about this. I'll get back to you guys on this. I just think that the fact that the games are being recorded and commentated adds some stress, and forces you to give more effort to not become boring/free. GJ lol, it feels awkward to hear yourself commentate. It's like watching a video of yourself playing and noticing your mistakes, except you're not really in a position to be making mistakes since, well, you're commentating. First time so it's ok, hope I'll get better. If anyone has some advice, please share it with me. I have to say those, those games were commentated in a special way though, since it was Eb vs. Nini.

You sure? I really don't know about Makoto's stuff concerning other characters, but I just feel like Mu and Jin's DPs shouldn't be that different concerning rapid. I didn't try to rapid the other DPs during recording except Mu's because, well, it was by reflex ps: not trying to flame you or anything, just want to make sure this info is legit

Hmm, you mention rapiding DPs, but the only ones that were rapided were mu's... oops maybe the result would be the same, I dunno.

Yeah sent's assist is really awesome. I'm still changing teams every 5 seconds, I really like to dhc from lightning storm into gamma crush, but the rest of hulk feels very meh. Thinking about adding morrigan instead for dark harmonizer, I'll have to try her out. Woo can't wait to see the finished version of your video. And hey don't worry about editing skills, it's a tutorial/educational vid right? They need to be as clean as possible imo, audio commentary is always appreciated though. Brice will most likely be unable to open the HQ tomorrow, so I'll be heading over to his place to get the keys to open it up in his place. I know when we open at 1, there usually aren't many of us (excluding brice it's probably not worth it tis week), and if we open at 6, it's kind of late and not much time spent there (since I have class monday at 10:30 so I should leave before midnight, maybe). So I was thinking about opening around 3:30-4 PM. Is this a good idea?

You could just say : "for those moves, do the same thing as when you parry internet divider or hotaru", or something like that, or is it really that different from anything else? One thing you could add though, is about Tsubaki's D version DP, with additional charges, maybe you can block the inital hit and then parry whatever they cancel into "to make it safe", like j.236D or j.214D. If that works, it should be included, and you might as well add the moves you mentioned. As for the stream, I dunno, maybe there are some NAHs that would watch it, it's on Sunday anyways, there probably aren't that many streams on that day of the week.

Awesome meetup was awesome, commentating and recording games was fun. Thanks to the HQ for their equipment and making it work. I'll get the videos Sunday and post them during the week, we basically hadn't had any new footage of us since the December mashfest, and we all leveled since then. Hopefully we can get the streaming to work, and Cranky mentioned something about automatically sending the archived stuff to a youtube account so that would be awesome. Good stuff on Nini's parry punish video, I hope something good comes out of it. The fun thing is you can really combo super into super into super for massive damage. Lol with my team and 2 1/2 bars I can do something like 11k from sent's command grab or normals into 4 supers, no crossover air combo thingy or kfc either. Nobody in my team has a level 3 though, that's because if you TK sentinel's OTG L-rocket punch allows you to cancel into his air super and the land and do his ground super. People are gonna be salty. Oh wait I thought you said something about BB being broken. I also played around in AH3, those Clarice BnBs are down (they're kinda hard to do until you realize you're doing it wrong because you didn't understand homing, then it becomes fun). Lol I'm not going to try anything extreme, I'll just google the different components and programs involved to see if this is a common issue and if there's a simple fix. There can be many things involved so my guess is just that maybe they just forgot about something. Alright well I'll check it out Thursday, you never know, maybe it'll be working for your vid, Nini. Try to know exactly what you want to record, so it goes as fast as possible. However I won't be able to go all-out like I do on my stuff, because I wouldn't want to ruin data that isn't mine. (Like I won't try to format and reinstall Windows and/or Linux). Heck I'm afraid to reboot it because even though Cranky told me the password today I forgot it already but it's necessary for system restore so I should probably find a way to remember it Also, eb, did you post the tournament results somewhere?

So I went to the HQ and asked Cranky how to get the recording/streaming to work. He said that the program hasn't been working recently, and that he tried to reinstall it and update drivers but that it didn't change anything. There is a video input pci-e card in the computer so it can't be done with a laptop. So anyways, Thursday I'll put my skills to the test and see what I can do about it, but if not we'll just have to be lucky. @Nolan : did you get your stuff?
