But eh, one long post wasn't enough, so here's another. It's also somewhat important, please read this one people. This is the answer I got from cranky asking about some stuff including beer at the HQ. @Eb : I didn't give you a proper answer to your question "why do you even play that character (mu)?", here it is. Well I really like Nu's playstyle in CT, zoning, spacing with long range and teleports for mixup or backing up, you could play her fast as fuck, her easy combos were still damaging so even though I wasn't a decent player I could still have fun. I admit she was overpowered, but Lambda just felt too stiff for me. You have to commit to her drives, her crescent loop was driving me crazy, and she felt too straightforward as well. Mu on the other hand has better range on her normals, so spacing is still important, but her drives are all jump cancellable so you can annoy without committing to it. She also has a lot more room for creativity, both in terms of combos, oki, setups, and game plan in general, or at least, until your opponents learn to instant block and I just end up QQing about CS2 not being out yet. Also, the character I originally wanted to learn in BB was Litchi, I really liked the mahjong theme as well as her great range on normals, but CT being my first fighting game, I had way too much trouble with her combos (ittsu lol, DP motion ) and decided to start maining my sub, Nu. If I didn't have another bunch of FGs to become decent at, I'd probably learn her. Fuck. I feel like learning her BnBs. Fuck. Okay here I go.

Okay, well if it's a bad timing for some of you, keep in mind that we have MAT8 (Montreal Annual Tournament) that will be June 4-5th, which is a major run by MTLSF and has Evo seed shits for marvel and SSF4, so it's a much more serious tournament, the venue will also be sick. Besides, we'll have leveled up again in all those games, I still think we have some catching up to do but we're getting there. Easter is just more relaxed, casuals, mini tournament event with Lord Knight and stuff. Yeah AH3 is soo different, I gotta play more to get used to it, but I think I'll manage somehow. Unrelated but I'm not sure I feel like going to the meetup this Sunday, if there is one. Nini, Steb, Air, Blade can't make it. Attendance on Sundays hasn't been great lately so I don't really feel like doing the trip and committing my day if we're less than 4-5. I am also kind of behind in my homework, but nothing I can't catch up Saturday. There are also a few very specific things I'd need to use the hyperbolic time chamber to practice, and I don't have an unlimited amount of time.

Is this a good idea or was it just because he was baiting your DP? 2) I saw you going for those j.C jc j.C j.2C finishers and then setting up steins on the way down. Is this a better option than going for SoD or a single j.C j.2C steins?

Hmm, Thursday nights we usually have a meetup and casuals, like tonight, and we usually finish around midnight. BUT since the following Friday will be off for almost everyone, I guess we could do something special. The place where we usually have meetups has a rule concerning alcohol, but I don't know exactly what it is, so I'll ask the SF guys about it (and also if they know some good places not too far, they know stuff ). Lol, I play piano/keyboards/saxophone. I used to play in a band with some coworkers, we did shows at several parties, where we did covers of various classic rock songs (ccr, bto, etc.). I stopped playing with them because we could never jam/practice together because they did it in the afternoon after work and I had uni. I prefer metal/electro/classical/weeaboo music anyways, but it was good exp. I keep trying to start some projects with friends, compose a few instrumentals, but things never work out for various reasons. Hey, what Nini Heart said plus : they also meetup on Saturdays, time really depends but it's usually open from 6 pm to midnight or more. Venue fee is 5$, and there are soft drinks for 1$ (when there are some left). You might want to check out the MTLSF thread on SRK http://shoryuken.com/f248/mtlsf-montreal-thread-2011-a-261077/index48.html they post when they open up, but you can check the older pages to get an idea of what time they usually open. Oh and they regularly have small tournaments, format varies from 1v1, 2v2, 3v3. There are several sticks there, we play both on PS3 and 360, but any recording or commentating gets done on 360 because we can't use the setup with PS3. There are usually some sticks over there, me and brice leave ours there, but it's always a good idea to bring yours just in case we run out of sticks. It happens. edit : just as a precision, but on sadlife FG days (thursdays and sundays), we open up, so we post over here the planned times.

Equipment required to go with it would be a bunch of splitters for the component and sound cables so we don't get any lag on the TV by having to go through the box first, and to commentate would be the microphones and the mixer. Since I kinda do music and should probably end up getting some equipment these would be things I consider buying for myself, but then again recently I've been spending more than I usually do (seriously, I played wow for 5 years), I don't know if I'm in the red or not yet (since money my parents put aside for my studies is currently in my account), so I'll wait to make sure I get a job for this summer before purchasing. I saw some on US websites but they wouldn't let me get an estimate of shipping costs before having to make an account or give them some info so I don't know if it actually comes out cheaper. Looking at the shipping for the evo monitor, it was about the same cost as the monitor itself (150x2), so that kinda scared me into making sure I get the whole cost before I give them my info.
