I'm not kaeru but I can still give you some advice. If you're thinking about modding your SE stick, not worth it IMO. What you'd need would be a MC Cthulu, a wired xbox controller, a new set of buttons. Then you'd need to add some weight, you'll have a lot of trouble if you want to use custom art, and you still won't have an equivalent product. I have no idea how you'd get a PS2 mod on the stick I linked though. 1) renew it asap. you never know. took me 2 weeks to get my passport, when I handed in my form they told me what date I would get it. but if you can't make it it's cool, kirbster showed interest so it'll be me, level5, brice, and kirbster. 2) some form of alcohol, if you want. Nice, that one's pretty similar to the one I posted, but I didn't think there was a way to get the j.2D to explode on the opponent. I'll have to go play around with this in the lab. By the way, I can usually get away with mine without needing the RC, you might want to try that out. It's great because it allows you to keep the meter for a SoD RC SoD if you need to break more primers.

An update on the evo stream party at my place. I was thinking about doing it on the 31st, so we can watch the finals. According to the schedule, they'd start with BBCS2, which would be around 12 AM. So you guys can arrive some time around that, or later, I guess. I have no idea at what time it would finish, but the last bus from my place is at 0:46. Let me know if you're coming, so I have an idea of how much food to get for the BBQ. I can also setup 3-4 stations for casuals in addition to having the stream on the 52", but people need to bring consoles, games, and sticks/controllers. Not sure. I'd prefer bringing it on a sunday, and next sunday is Heavy MTL, but I'm not sure I'm going. However, if I know that we'll have enough sticks and that I don't need to bring mine, I could. This would be either Tuesday or Thursday. I could netplay with you maybe tonight. really? what? experience?

Some advice for cookie or anyone else who is starting to use Mu. About the command laser, you know it starts off going to the latest one and then it goes through them in reverse order, right. So, to maximize it's efficiency, I try to remember how far apart my steins are when I place them, and always keep in mind either "close" or "far". So if the last one I put was "close", next one will be "far", and vice versa, I also try to use 236D only if the last one was "far". A practical example: combo into 5C 6C 6D SoD. I think "far", so if I do 5D 6D 236D afterwards eventually, I get a way more efficient command laser than if I would have gone just 6D 236D instead. Now that was a pretty basic example, but this helps me get a good result when I start moving around a lot, and then in your head you often have to replace "close" by "far" just because of positioning. Lol, having typed that out, I realize it might be simpler to remember "left" and "right" instead But daaamn, it really pisses me off that at a certain distance the laser stops tracking steins. I know where I place them, I know it's not coming back, I cross my fingers anyways, and I'm disappointed when I don't break my opponent's combo gustaff fire style. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go in training mode, go to both corners of the stage, place steins, and then use 236D. Also, just some gimmick I started using this week, blockstring (2A 2B 5C 236A dash)xN. N being the number of times you think you can get away with it, it pushes them towards the corner a good enough distance that it's worth using one or two times. It's far from airtight, but the window to escape it is kinda small. However, it's probably not a good idea to use it against tager or hakumen. And finally, something I'd like to know, what are you guys' options at the beginning of a match or any advice concerning this? Against lots of people I usually chose between IAD back j.D/j.236A, 5C, sj back, but recently I feel like sometimes I almost just lose the match because I start badly and my opponent is suddenly in my face.

looking into [D] to extend combos midscreen, so far the 3C one gets good damage, still trying to get something better out of 6B and other moves, depending on distance. There's likely some character specific stuff to try out, I might make a combo video if I get enough of these. after a 6C (ex: throw 5C 6C) 5[D] 6A(blocked) 3C ]D[ 5C 6C habacan 6A 6B SoD 6A j.2C j.5D 2B 5C 2C j.2C (5k, can add stuff into super for around 6k) (so far, for 6B, assuming crouching OP) 6[D] 6B ]D[ dash (can gold burst here) 6C 214D IAD j.2C 2B 6A j.C j.2C (4k)

oh gawd, holding down could be the same for 236D, that would be siiiick. I wouldn't mind paying 25% meter for either, especially if the release is similar to arakune or carl, that you can do it while doing anything else (as long as you don't get hit). But not like zappa's dog or dizzy's spear (in blockstun lol), that would be just too OP for BB. 214D feint would be great if it was special/super cancellable as well I haven't played against arakune a lot this version, but he doesn't seem too broken (in a good or bad way), or am I completely wrong?

I'm really talking about 214D whiff mid combo. I do my best to remember where all my steins are and in what order, at all times, but doing a habacan in a combo clears it up and gives me a fresh start. I really don't mind paying the price of the steins I already have on screen in order to get more damage and meter out of midscreen combos, that's the way I see it. Oh and just to avoid confusion : habacan = 214D whiff, habakiri = 214D.

I dunno, I like habacan. It's like sacrificing placed steins to extend your combo, it also gives my mind a break by removing all previously placed steins and only keeping the ones I'll place in the combo for my oki or neutral game following the combo. I don't exactly disagree with the last pages, however I prefer Mu's battle outfit to her ceremonial dress, but I still like both. If they wanted to add in her pre battle outfit as her sprite, I'd prefer it if you could chose between the two rather than replacing one. I like the creepy robot-armor-suit that could be alive look, in addition to those huge shoulders, tie, crown, and sword-wings. Her song is pretty good, and her astral just adds to the troll value imo.
