That's all fine and dandy with mugen, but how much damage can she score without mugen midscreen from a CH 236D with one stock? Could just be that the player didn't use 6BB fast enough, but I could be wrong. I saw this in one of the vidoes PK uploaded a while a back. Wouldn't it be better if you did 236C CH - 5CC - stuff/5A - 5CC - stuff?

Testing for confirmation would be cool. We'll be able to see if anything regarding that changed. Again only thing you need in this matchup is 5B and unblockable. If you use 236X, you deserve to be to 360'd/720'd.

MTW can beat any of our DPs, and he could even charge to guardpoint it. With that said... Unfortunately it does matter because if he blocks it, he can use AC, or even better, he can 2C Tsubaki out of the J.214D. I don't think alot of people realise that this isn't safe to do against Tager at all, but hey, if it works for you...

So I've been following this and have noticed some changes. 236C has a P1 of a measely 75. This explains why we couldn't connect 5CC - 6B on crouching opponents. This will most likely be the same case with 236D since it has the same P1. This also limits our combo potential even on a CH 236D. As I noticed before, 236D is indeed unsafe, being -4. I have seen videos where the characters can throw you out of your next move on a normal block. Evidence is shown in the matches with Kuresu and H.H. 5B has a startup of 10 frames and is -5 on block. Conversely 5C now has a startup of 8 frames. For combo starters, we have to really rely on our normals/mugen for damage rather than specials (excluding 214C/D to an extent)

Exactly my thoughts. 5B is slower, so our poke game has been demolished a little. The 236X series are even more unsafe on block and now he has an easier time retaliating with 360/720. 214D has become far too dangerous to use on block now. On the plus side, if he uses 6A in an attempt to catch us while we're magged, we have 3C FC now....

Quite a few people here have the game, so I'm one to vote in favour of having the EX matchup threads now. Not to mention barely anyone is using the CS2 matchup threads anyway.

The Tsubaki wiki is great. Is it worth mentioning that 5CC - 6B works on crouching opponents? And that 6A forces crouch?

They might not have any kind of understanding of EX Tsubaki and so it's very likely they don't understand the situation with her. It is up to them to find out why that is. I saw some of the youtube comments but I didn't feel inclined to explain to them because well, it's YT. If anything, they could be directed to DL and get involved with the forums to gain a better understanding of why that is. You didn't waste your time Bat. To me, your video shows the variation that EX Tsubaki possesses. Mugen combos show that Tsubaki can attain ALOT of damage; DP whiff combos are still viable and air mugen opens up alot more options. Any player can easily see that none of your combos start with 5B, but I guess most people don't have common sense and look for the underlying reasons, and so to them it's not practical. Your video gave us an idea of what EX Tsubaki is capable of and that she still has a variety of combos that people thought she lacked. If I had to critique your vid, I only would've liked to see more combo variations starters of a CH 236D and 5C . Like you just said it's not supposed to be geared to be a tutorial vid which can be done much later as more things are discovered about her. In the end, I don't care about seeing max damage combos of a 2B or seeing combo starters from a 5B which apparently has 85 P1 compared to 5C which is 100. If you annotated the vid, I think it would ruin it. It's just a combo vid, not a tutorial vid.... If you want to see what you can do off a 5B, then take a look at Daedron's combo vid. That should give you an idea of what you can do of a 5B.

I figured as much. I guess no one will know if the P1 of 5C has changed but in the case that it hasn't I'm very curious to see how much damage we can get from it considering a 5C starter = a ton of damage. Then once that's established (If that's the case) we'll have Mori on our case again.

My mindset with Tsubaki will have to change in EX as I cannot afford to be stingy with heat this time around because it's more of a necessity for her in terms of mugen and 3CC - RC stuff. I actually realise how hard I find it considering I'm reluctant to spend meter on heat, especially for non - killer DDs. I also forgot to say. Great combo videos Dae, and now Bat.

Is 2C supposed to go before the 214D or does the combo work w/o it in EX?

To be honest, I dunno how I feel about it. The 3C FC combo was nice. I am also happy we can do 6A FC - 5CC - 6C. Glad we got that confirmed as I felt we couldn't do that. Thank you for it though!
