I'm glad to hear you had fun Dio. You should've booted the players on the EX TV tbh. Will there be any videos of you playing? The desire for this game is too strong....
-
Thank you for the diagram + explanation PK. Extremely useful stuff.

That's quite emotional. Nevertheless, thank you for the input Bat. It makes it much more clear.

I think it's a bad idea to be looking out for ways to outpoke him of his pressure. Regardless, you can poke him out of 6B or you can throw him out of it. If he decides to use GH (and followup) and then intends to RC it into further J.C/D pressure, you can stop it with 5A, but I think that requires an IB of the GH followup. You can avoid DS by jumping and countering with J.C - combo, but it requires you to be alert. If you're feeling more brave you can 22A him out of it (requires IB from previous move to avoid the likeliness of a trade) Just make sure you are moving around alot (includes backdashing, air dashing) and you'd want to tap 5D at times. Having stock to boot will allow you to manipulate the way he approaches you. First things first, at the beginning of the match (unless the Ragna is quite passive) you'd want to get away to build some stock. If there are times where he's approaching you quite quickly you can use 22A to get CHs or time to gain more stock (Not to be used all the time however, and he can simply jump or block it and it's -9) For advise on blockstrings on where to stop pressure, or attempts to frame trap: No problem Lunar. I personally believe that this is a bad idea, and I wouldn't advise playing footsies with Ragna because his 5B and 5C are not nice.

This actually makes me really curious. Where is the hitbox for 623X? And how big is it??

BBCS:EX αlpha Station: Tsubaki vs Litchi Itarianfurin ( Tsubaki ) vs Yuuta ( Ragna ) Hikaru ( Hakumen ) vs Itarianfurin ( Tsubaki )
-
True, provided it's logical. I liked the discussion until I saw power rangers in pumpkins.
-
/passionxtroll To think that this is all because of charge.
-
I asked because I was curious and because I actually thought it was extremely similar as how it is now. However, I can see why 5D having slower recovery would make it more riskier. At the same time, we get charge faster with charge cancels, so indeed there's a high risk with that. Not sure about the reward being high though. Doing it often is what allows easy poke - ins.
-
How comes?
-
I'm not sure I agree with this. Rephrasing to - 'Tsubaki gets stock quicker than CS1'
-
What I mean is that the charge speed is not slow. 5D (slight hold) presents her with one stock, and J.D is even better. Consider her knockdown options as well. She hits you with 5BB - 5CC - 22C, and then she has time to at least get 2 bars of stock with 2D. Obviously it's unsafe and players won't be charging mindlessly in the heat of a battle. Not to mention the charge speed is faster than CS1. But, it's +15. Lol. 214D would inflict a massive amount of stun of the opponent, and it's enough for you to use an unblockable. Maybe I should've said +100. It's good for you because the opponent gets no time to react to random D - condor dives unless they DP, but what if they don't even have a DP/reversal? They are sitting in blockstun. Bleh. If they make it slower than the speed in EX. That's good, and it's what makes Tsubaki unique. It's her playstyle. If it's extremely easy to get charge in that a tap will get her one stock for example, then to me, it's free. That and gaining the current damage she gets in CS2 is far too easy. For instance, why should she get Makoto damage in the corner because a knockdown is allowing me to get 5 stocks? Making her work to gain stocks is the right idea.
-
Point taken. She can do 6C - 282C which would put her back into the basics. She could either frame trap the opponent with a 22A afterwards, and if they don't do that, it resorts to Tsubaki being put on the defensive (Despite the fact 22C is +1). I wouldn't see much use for that entirely, but 6C - unblockable would be nice. If it were surely easier (or once I get used to the timing if I have patience for it) it would be better to use than 6C - J.236D - J.214D followup - RC into unblockable. It would also save us the heavy stock use too. For example, using 6C - unblockable would be better than using 6C - 2147D/2369D - unblockable. If anyone can learn 6C - unblockable, then be my guest, but I'm still on the sidelines about using 6C - 22C. I disagree. Now that Tsubaki gets stock fairly quickly, the stuff that she'll be able to do with multiple D - specials being + on block would make her retarded. (Depending on how safe they are) You blocked 214D? Good I'm going to use unblockable because it's +15. You blocked a J.214D? Good you can't pressure/punish because it's +5 I'm going to stop you with 5B. Tried to get cheeky and IB'd a 236D? Well tough luck it's +8 on IB and you're still going to get hit with 5B/unblockable. Not to mention that her combo enders/oki options will allow her to gain more stock and it gives her a big advantage into using her unblockable more. We currently get 4.9k of an unblockable in the corner with 2 stocks. The heat gain from the combo would allow us to score easier deaths since the DD can be added. If they made the charge speed much slower then they can make Tsubaki's D - Specials safer but NOT THAT much safer.
-
And despite this, the execution needed to pull this off is actually unbelievable! It renders this technique impractical unfortunately. Here I was trying to think of doing 6C - unblockable too...
-
Interesting find Logic! Will definately be making use of that!
-
So would anyone care to explain what we should primarily be using our DP for? IB - DP? What's the point in using it anywhere else where we can clearly be disrespected? -Specific angled aerial attacks beat it -Ragna's GH beats it -5A apparently beats it -Air throws beat it. Retarded. On a side note, I keep forgetting that it's a projectile.

On the small screen
-
I s'pose that's an entertaining way of looking at it.
-
I was going to make a point against the Servbot. Then I realised it's futile. Why are you guys even responding? Lol.
-
I'm not sure. In the recent Tsu v Tsu match PK uploaded, Tsubaki was able to beat the 623A with 5A, but that may have been because she hit her during the last active frame. It did not look like that was the case.
-
Wait. She can do 2CC - 5C - 2C now? :v Thanks for your help btw.
-
No problem, and thank you very much. Oh I forgot to ask? Can you test whether it can be done midscreen please? Thanks.

The connection with Bat is bearable, I actually don't mind it. As long as I'm playing with different people, I usually do not mind. I'd love to play Daedron again. I haven't played all my friends in ages. Heard he wasn't getting a copy, but that's a thought. Are you sure it's not 5C - 2CC? Thanks for finding stuff out btw. Are you able to check if 5BB - 5CC - 623C - J.214A(w) - J.214D works? On a side note, it was just confirmed in one of the vidoes that PK uploaded, that FC 6A - 5C - 6C doesn't work. I thought they'd at least give us that....
