lol what? The GG scene is by far the most accepting, helpful scene I've ever been around in my 9 years of gaming competitively. How do you know what he means anyways? You've been to precisely 1 major to play against these "animu douchebags." Finally, if you have nothing to do at a goddamn major, then it's your fault. Be social, talk to people and find some goddamn casuals somewhere, because they're definitely happening throughout the venue. MAYBE the MB scene was guilty of this at Evo, but that couldn't have been further from the truth at NEC last year. Everyone was chill and cool to talk to, and every question I had there I left with an answer to. All you have to do is *gasp* TALK TO PEOPLE!!! Amazing!

Games are happening at my place on Wednesday starting at around 5:30.

Japan doesn't frown upon it...they suck at it. Doing anything at all in high level MVC2 is incredibly difficult. It's nonstop movement/blocking/mixup/zoning/runaway, and you have to pay attention to assists as well as the opponent's main character. All of the combos in that game that aren't done by Cable are incredibly difficult to master, and I'd rather try to block Eddie and Millia at the same time than try to block Magneto. That shit is harder than GG will ever be, yet it's remained popular in America without any advertisements at all, because the community won't let it die like we seem to be doing with GGAC.

Yeah, as TB said, I won't be able to make it this time. D: I should be at NEC tho.

For a lot of us, the bolded portions are the only issue we have, because GG isn't like that. It doesn't take that much work to learn the game (if you're practicing 1 frame links, then 3 frame FRC windows should be three times as easy), and the constant exaggerations of how much work it does take do more damage to the scene than anything we could say imo.

We didn't even start playing until around 5. We played until around 11 cuz I had to work in the morning. The point is, if you really want to play offline, you can, and with really good players at that.

We played at my place on Wednesday. You could have easily gotten up with one of us and snagged a ride. We play every week...shoot me, PacStrife, or Smurvis a PM and you'll probably have more luck than you do posting every week about how much you want to play offline.

RE: Tager AA, 2C is beastly (the FC combo fucking hurts), but soooo unsafe on block. 2A is decent sometimes as well. Backdash is good until people figure out how to fuck him up for it, and you always have airthrows. j.A can be okay also, but doesn't lead to much.

Ok sure. I wake up and think to myself "How can I piss Jon off today?" The truth is, almost every issue I've had with you has been game related, and that's because I know you're talented enough to be better than you are results wise. The problem is your issues in game are also issues that affect you in real life, and my theory is that you know this too, which is why you take my game related criticism so personally; I'm talking about games, but it cuts a little deeper than that, no emo. I'm not out to get anybody. Except Jimmy. Fuck Jimmy. On a semi-related note, there's a chance of moar games occurring at my place tonight. We may have PacStrifeGenocide here, provided he hasn't got 5 assignments due in an hour that he hasn't started on yet.
