[CP1.1] Makoto Nanaya's Gameplay Discussion - When's 2.0?
Alpha152 replied to HiagoX's topic in Makoto Nanaya
Here's a list of stuff that I think is decently optimal and let's me focus on neutral and pressure while auto-piloting the combos. I'm lazy and hate Overdrive so while I'm sure there's "optimal" combos for every OD situation I make it easy for myself and make a combo which can be extended with the more OD you have. OD Midscreen 6A > j.B > jc > OD > j.623C~D > 2D > [623C~D] incomplete 5B > 5CC > 2D(Lv2) > 5B > 6A > 2D > OD > 623C~D > 6A > [j.623C~D] incomplete OD Near Corner 5B > 5C > 6C > 214A~C > 236D > OD > 214A~D > 2C > [214B~D] > [623C~D] > [2D] > [j.D] > [5D] > 236236D OD Near Corner (When 214AD will whiff) 5B > 5C > 6C > 214A~C > 236D > OD > 5D > 2D > j.D > [2C] > [214B~D] > [214A~D] > [623C~D] > 236236D OD Corner 5B > 5CC > 5D > OD > 214A~C > 236D > [214A~D] > [2C] > [214B~D] > [623C~D] > [2D] > [j.D] > 236236D Midscreen 2B > 5B > 5CC > 2D(Lv2) > 5B > 6A > 2D > 2C - 214A~B > 5A > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D - 214B > j.C > j.B > (land) > j.B > jc > j.D - 236D > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D > 5D *Near corner 6BC > 214A~C~B > 5B > 6A > 2D(Lv1) > 5B > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D *Crouching only 2AA > 2B > 5B > 5CC - 2D(Lv1) - 2D(Lv2) > 5B > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D Near Corner 2B > 5B > 5C > 6C > 214A~C > 236D > 6A > 2D > 2C > 214A~A > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D 2AA > 2B > 5B > 5C > 6C > 214A~C > 236D > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D > 5D Corner 2B > 5B > 5C > 6C > 214A~C > 236D > 6A > 2D > 2C > 214A~A > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D > 5D 2AA > 2B > 5B > 5CC > 2D(Lv2) > 5B > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D > 5D 6A > j.B > jc > j.D > 214A~C > 236D > 6A > 2D > 5D 5AA > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D > 214A~C > 236D > 6A > 5D Midscreen Throw Throw > 214A~A > 66A > 2D > 5B > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D Throw > 214A~A > 66A > 236D > 6A > 2D > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D > 5D *Near corner Back Throw > 2B > 6A > 2D > 5B > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D Air Throw > 2B > 5B > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D Corner Throw Throw > 66A > 236D > 6A > 2D > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D > 5D Air Throw > 2B > 6A > 2D > 236D > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D > 5D Counter Hit 2C > 214C > j.C > (land) > 6A > 2D - 5B > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D - 236D > 6A > j.B >jc > j.D > 2366A~D > 6A > 5D 214A~C~D > 5A > 5CC - 2D > 5B > 6A > 2D > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D - 5D > 2C > 236D > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D *Corner only 214A~C~D > 5CC *Crouching only - 2D > 5B > 6A > 2D > 2C > 214A~B > 5A > 6A > j.B >jc > j.D - 2D > 5B > 6A > 2D > 2C > 214B > j.C > j.B > (land) > j.B > jc > j.D - 5D > 2C > 236D > 6A > 2D > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D *Corner only 214C~D > 2C - 2D > 5B > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D - 236D > 6A > 2D > 6A > j.B > jc > j.D > 2366A~D > 6A > 5D *Corner only -
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Kickstarter. A total of $147 was raised! Once the project is completed I'll request for the plaque to be "Rebel Up Community" and I will raffle off the other goods that are included. Next event is April 19th and is back to the usual format.

Always glad to be here Watson! And yes 5/17 and 5/31 will be the next dates, thanks again.
-
Since a majority seem to be fine with running this here is how it will go: - $1 entry fee per game - However $1 will be the minimum amount and you are free to contribute however much you would like - $1 per game is to prevent people from being deterred to enter any games, if the entry was $5 per game people might not enter games they want to play for fun Numakie will also be running his games with the $1 entry so there's even more games to help contribute!
-
I can provide one full set up and run one game (or both depending on how we do brackets). Let's make this year x10 better than last year!
-
Updated the first post with info on the Kickstarter. For this upcoming event, the plan is to hold a $1 entry fee (per person) for each game. However, instead of a payout the money will be donated to the Super Arcade Kickstarter assuming the goal is not reached by the event (4/5). Please input your thought onto this poll, thanks! http://strawpoll.me/1392198

Would you mind linking me please?

This is a more general question but how exactly does P1/2 work in this game? At first glance it's waaay different compared to BB and I never got around to understanding how it worked.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
Alpha152 replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
So I've noticed on 2 separate occasions of people RC'ing a move where it should've been a YRC instead. Possibly a glitch or is there some other explanation for this? http://youtu.be/vjuZ-FUVoz4?t=5m49s http://youtu.be/M5n-pss_eGI?t=50s -
Awesome! It's unfortunate YRCs don't work like FRCs but it's also cool trying to work around the system to make them act similarly to FRCs.
-
I don't know if this is better than her +R throw range but... http://youtu.be/vjuZ-FUVoz4?t=4m36s Also YRCs can only be done outside of hit/blockstun but the way its used here it looks like it'd be possible to make a blockstring that has a gap right before HCL to use it during pressure? http://youtu.be/CoycI81JXlc?t=1m7s

[CP1.1] Makoto Nanaya's Gameplay Discussion - When's 2.0?
Alpha152 replied to HiagoX's topic in Makoto Nanaya
Can anyone else confirm that 214A's cancel frame into Break is now 12F, compared to EX's 13F? I'm using the string 5CC > 214A~A to test what punishes it. While I'm at it 214A's other cancel frame (Lunatic Upper/Shooting Star etc) seems to be 5F now? This seems like a big change compared to EX's 9F cancel window but I don't know if this is correct. Was 5CC > 214A~C was gapless in EX? -
Yes that's correct. The Koko tourney will be first and afterwards the normal tourney.

ATM U. Makoto's acorn clashes with Rachel's lobelia so its projectile durability might be worth noting. -

Thanks! Another question I had is are there any LEDs that are compatible with Sanwa buttons? Both the Uila and Arc Eye seemed to require sanding down the plunger to be used. -

Does anyone know if it's possible to use silent foam washers in addition to LEDs for buttons? I feel like since both parts go underneath the plunger stacking them might affect button precision. -
I'd like to bring to attention that someone's PS3 (that was on the right half of the arcade) still has Super Arcade's copy of Persona 4 Arena inside of it. Anyone who brought a console please check in case it might have been left there. If anyone manages to find it please contact me ASAP, or return it back to Super Arcade.

Ah ok, so the daisy wire that connects to all the buttons would go to ground and the other wire to each input on the board? I think I'm slowly understanding it better. -

Ok thanks! Another question I had was about wiring. I'm debating between these 2 wiring options http://www.focusattack.com/10-connection-110-ground-daisy-chain-wire/ http://www.focusattack.com/black-joystick-wire-harness/ If I use the chain wire with only 1 connection per button, will it still work? Or must both wires be connected to the buttons? -

Hey! I'm currently running a ChImpSMD + 360 board on my stick but I'm swapping out my case and am considering switching to a Cthulhu. 360/PS3 compatibility isn't a concern for me anymore so the question I have is if I get a Cthulu are there any other boards I need installed or is everything ran just through the Cthulhu? -
You mean the events after the 8th? Yes they will not count for points because the ranbats season will be over and we will be doing different events afterwards.
-
We might need a PS3 for a BB setup, so it wouldn't hurt to bring one just in case. Edit: So the results as of Fri. night for the 2 options are 13 votes for $5 entry and 11 votes for UFGT, so unless a majority is extremely opposed to the first option tomorrow, the entry fee for the next 2 events will be $5 and go solely towards the FR funds.
-
Thank you to everyone who showed up, especially the out of town visitors! I had a great time and hope everyone else enjoyed themselves as well! Extra special thanks to Phaethon for helping with the GG brackets. Next event will be back on track with our ranbats however, due to time constraints our current schedule needs to be revised and we have decided between 2 options: Option A: The next 2 events will be a $5 entry fee for BB, all of the funds which will go towards FR Option B: Instead of funding for Final Round, it will instead be switched to UFGT (May 23-25) (Personally I advocate this option) Please give us feedback so we can adjust the schedule accordingly!
