This week as in: "Oh God, Noel," or this week as in "who's showing up?" I haven't decided if I'm going yet or not. The weather is poor. But if I do, It'll be around 7 or so.

Also, a fair word of warning: I've been busy and haven't practiced since last week.

And I got work! Oh well, that's pretty far anyways. I'm thinking of bringing a setup to GameOver today. Last time there were only like 4 people playing BB though. Should I bother anyways? I can always play Marvel or SF4.

I have a GPS now, so I might try and make it without getting lost for once OR going to the wrong place. Is there decent, safe, parking in Sommerville? (I have a new car, and people keep telling me to not bring it.)

Maybe Ken plays a bit like Valkenhyn where he has a Dog Mode? More likely, I'd say Koromaru is like Ignus, but still...Dog Mode!

Is it me, or does Koromaru look a bit derpy in that instant kill shot? The glowing wolf head looks fierce and deadly...while Koromaru looks like he's jumping up to lick someone.

So, how does the 632146D -> 6D combo work? I've seen it in a combo video, but I can't figure out how to make Amane go that fast.

But most people wouldn't. That's a huge chunk of game time for a lot of people.

I might be a bit late to the party, but I just realized that Amane can one-shot a blocking Nu. Sure, you need a level 3 drill, overdrive, and 100 heat, AND the opponent's barrier gauge needs to be empty but by god can he do it. If nothing else, the change to his stand should make it much easier to charge the gauge against her.

I do find landing those punches OH SO SATISFYING though. Plus, there's some use for level 1 and 2 punches, I think. Just not many- I'm not sure they're part of optimal combos.

I'm not familiar with Boston, and until Yesterday, I didn't know Sommerville was next to Cambridge. When I looked at the map, I actually thought the bar was in sommervile at first.

ARGHG! Well, at least I didn't try to find it in Sommerville...Mioterehteshiogao rsih!!! So, I used the info on the calender to find the place. I had this open in one tab-facebook in another, quick checked that things were going on tonight, then printed the directions. I got lost for an hour trying to find the Ale House. I am not familiar with Boston and it's roads are hateful. Google Maps isn't that great either. I get there, find out that I had the date and time wrong- it was at sommervile. I leave, GET LOST AGAIN trying to get out of Boston, and now I find out that the main thing I wanted to go for was cancelled at last second. Gr. May I just say something: For the love of god, keep all of your information up to date, or screw you. This isn't the first time I've been burned by poorly managed event info. It seems whenever there's a regularly meeting game group they always forget to update their information resources properly, or cancel at the last second while only telling their personal friends, resulting in me showing up somewhere by myself! At least this one, I assume actually had the proper info somewhere. At the same time, I don't think I should have to delve into research to figure out which s**** is accurate, especially when it's directly on the calender. What, did they just mark the calender up a year in advance and forget about it?

If I head over today, I'll most likely be taking the train in. Thanks for the offer though!

I thinking of going to gameover tomorrow. I noticed that it's near Sommerville. Out of curiosity, how safe is the area to walk around at night by yourself?

Okay, here's a real question, although not an important one: How do you do Amane's #29 Challenge? I can't get j.2B to combo into itself. I can get it to land, apparent by doing to 8->2B Motion really fast, but I can't seem to get another 2B out fast enough. EDIT: Nevermind, I got it. Wow, that's an interesting mechanic abuse.

Yep. You know, Valk's wold effects were the same in English and Japanese beforehand. Why change it? Strangely Compelling appears to be a horrible team.

I have a question: What's up with the sound effects for Valk's Wolf?

On a side note: What's up with Valk's Wolf voice? I keep forgetting to mention this, but it is AWFUL. What the heck?! His voice sound effects are just his voice actor's going "rawr" half heartidly. The Japanese version, I believe, has the old, proper, roars. Why would they change it? It sounds silly.

Okay, that's pure bull. They couldn't translate it because it was "too difficult?" It sounds like their in-house localization team got in over their heads without Aksys having paved the way for them, so they just gave up. I don't think I've ever head a game having content cut because "They couldn't translate it." What exactly is so special that they couldn't translate?

It's going to be fun to see it used in Nu matches.
