  1. Maybe the 100 year loop isn't limited to Kagutsuchi, but rather the destruction of the Earth?
  2. Which could very well just be for personal reasons. Just look at Goro and Makoto.
  3. I fairly sure the story WAS for Ragna. Rathcel was just being Ratchel and couldn't bring herself to tell Ragna anything important in a direct or respectful way.
  4. Here's one thing I noticed: When Ragna is in prison Ratchel tells the story about the poor maiden that's been locked away and needs to be saved. The whole bit about "rewriting The World" makes it sound as though Ratchel is talking about Amaterasu. At the end of Chrono Phantasma Nu get's stuck into Take Mizuchi and Ragna decides to save her, apparently referencing Ratchel's story. But that raises a question: Was Ratchel's story about Nu? Or is there a link between Nu and Amaterasu? Or perhaps Ragna saved the wrong broad?
  5. Misinformation everywhere; Tutorials are flat out wrong, Gallery claims there's a music player, questionable translation that seems to rely on Memes. So on.
  6. That's only a third of the definition. To quote from Merriam-Wenster.com's condensed definition: : a state of complete destruction : a state of being ruined : the remaining pieces of something that was destroyed : the state of having lost money, social status, etc. It's the third definition that we're after. "Ruining a person" is not an obscure phrase and usually means figurative ruin. Since the "Master Unit" is a character it would make sense that by "ruin" she means it figuratively, such as a "ruined man." If nothing else, that's how I interpreted it and that ended up being the correct interpretation.
  7. Wasn't Calamity Trigger near simultaneous? That one was done pretty well.
  8. Also, the description for the gallery says you can listen to music. It's not there anywhere.
  9. I disagree. "To Bring Ruin" upon something doesn't mean to destroy it; just to ruin it some how. For instance, you can "Bring ruin upon" a politician by leaking a bad conversation. Or **** picks. Poor Anthony Weaner. I understood exactly what Izanami meant back when I first played the game. I was surprised when people started claiming she destroyed the Master Unit.
  10. So, the Glossary explains what may have actually happened to Hazama/Trinity? I knew that there was no way they'd get killed off so undramatically, especially Terumi. So, what does the Glossary say?
  11. Thank you. I was thinking of the wrong Character for some reason. But yeah, Testament's Dust looks like a low. Jam's looks like a mid hit, and so on.
  12. No, but your avatar fits this futile quest well.
  13. I think I mentioned to their facebook or twitter once and I got a rather snarky response to the effect of "We're sorry that you feel that way." They know, at least ArcSys USA knows, that it's bad. There's really no excuse; I understand that they want to try to translate it themselves, but there's a certain point where if you can't do it properly, you just hire someone else, like Aksys, to do it. Oh, and according to the Tutorials, Amane's drive gives him life drain. The chip damage he does is apparently added to his Hp. They screwed up.
  14. According to the tutorials, Amane can steal health from his opponents via chip damage. Hm, never heard that one.....
  15. It's the other way around. Censor ship has been getting better. Back in the 80's and 90's it was much worse. As far as the translating goes, it's because of Arcsys. A company called Aksys localized the first two games. Arcsys handled Extend and Chronophantasm. As far as I know, Arcsys has never been good at translating. For instance, Accent Core +. Until the +R patch, the special move names were in Japanese Characters.
  16. Well, at least this isn't Guilty Gear where the overheads are visually lows. I'm looking at people like Sol BadGuy.
  17. Well, using overdrive helps when you're unloading damage on the core.
  18. One of the problems with re balancing is that, at least with sprites, there's little you can do in terms of changing moves. You can tweak the number frames and slightly adjust hit boxes, but you can't re-animate of add in new normals on a whim. For instance, if you decide that Kagura's B normals have far too short of a range you can't just give him a new 5B. Conversely, if Hazama's normals' hitboxes are too good, you can only alter the the hitboxes somewhat before they become nonsensical. You can only rebalance and work with what you have. If they made some bad decisions in terms of basic design, they can't just rework things from the ground up.
  19. Ack, really? a 50% increase in the price of the game just for the old stages and music? If they came with more story mode, other game modes, or other features, I'd understand. Hm, you know, it would be pretty cool to have extra story modes as DLC (assuming it wasn't overpriced or "we could have included this in the release, but we're trying to hook you like a crack dealer in order to make more money.")
  20. On the other hand, it is a bit pricey. Buying all the extra stages and Music costs a nice $16. For perspective, the game is $50; the amount $16 is 32% of the cost of the full game currently. The price of the game is going to go down to boot. Buying all the extra stages and BGMs does not increase the content of the game even close to 32%, and the extra content is old content that's already been in the series before is has pretty much just been "stuck in." On the other hand, we don't have to buy terrible animes in order to get the content. So~ Eh. I've never been a fan of DLC; it's usually too expensive for what you actually get. I wonder if they'll create a DLC package for a discounted price?
  21. While it doesn't look like this is going to be funded... Is there anyway to help out aside from monetary contributions or being a current expert in something?
  22. Well, if the 360 version had great sales, I'm sure they would've found a way.
  23. Uh, that's unlikely. First off, it depends on your encoding on how large a character is. You see, they don't actually record the actual letters or symbols, rather the text is saved as a series of numbers. For example, in unicode the letter "A" is 61. You tell the computer to output letter "61" in Unicode format and it prints out "A". How much space a letter takes up in memory depends on how many "bytes" the number representing it takes up in memory. For a basic character set, a single letter can be one byte long and represent up to 256 different characters using the numbers 0-255. Of course, if you're encoding full on Japanese with Kanji, or multi language support, you might end up using a more complex encoding system where the individual characters are 2, 3, or even 4 bytes long. And, ignoring how the letters and syllables are represented internally, you have to consider that text doesn't actually take up that much space. For instance, a Gigabyte represents one billion bytes. If you use an encoding where each character is a byte, then you can have up to one billion letters, spaces, and symbols. So, for example, one of the longest novels written, War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy is about 580,000 words long. Let's say that each word, including the following white space or punctuation, is about 5 characters long; each word is five bytes, which would give a file size of merely 2.8 Megabytes. A megabyte is 1/000th of a Gigbyte. Actually, you can download War and Peace online for free since it's in the public domain. It's actual size is 1.3MB which is less than half of my estimation there. You could fit War and Peace into a single Gigabyte 787 times. So, in short, no. The English Text, or extra languages, are not the issue. They're not even close.
  24. Jubei tried and now he's not even getting to be a playable character.
  25. I would like English voices. For instance, Makoto from BlazBlue would be a lot less entertaining if I couldn't understand what she's saying.
