  1. I'll say this: I'm not a fan of putting so much story in spin offs, like the light novels. It's annoying for people who only play the main games.

  4. I can't go on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, so Game Underground is meaningless to me.
  5. No, because I don't believe that move will combo into itself a dozen times. To help with hit confirms and pressure, many jabs can cancel into themselves two or three times, but not indefinitely. If you check the frame data page, it should tell you the specifics on how ragna's moves combo together.

  7. When I play too patiently I get stuck on their mix up. But I'll try to use 5A back-dash cancel a bit more and be a bit slower.
  8. You can cancel teleport into 2D? Why not 5D? Aside from that, anyone have any tips on Sho's neutral game? Those Mao videos in the video thread weren't too satisfying. I'm having issues in neutral getting in. Nothing seems to be reliably strong and I've ended up relying on waiting for my opponent to slip up, more than anything.
  9. ^ Are you talking about Risky Level Score attack? Because the computer will button read you. Nothing like Shadow Kanji; you cannot stand anywhere near him during wakeup, else you will suffer a GETB right there and then.
  10. That would be a bit slow...unless... Drill Level 3 doesn't have any inherent push back, correct? If you manage a Level 3 5D at point blank range and your opponent forgets to Barrier, you can possibly chain into the second 5D using that new hit box on 236D. Otherwise, I'd think 5D->236D->5D might be a bit too slow. Still, we always have fab hop and Hat Dance. Hat dance with 50% heat can be used to close the gap ,while fab-hop will make continuing pressure easier.
  11. I've been mainly trying to figure out the combo myself. Thankfully, I already figured out the 235236a x3 part. I've also got a nifty loop as well. My real issue is getting around proration.
  12. Hm, is it possible to combo into AoA? I'm currently trying to do Sho's Challenge #25, but I'm coming up 4 hits short. Proration is preventing from using A's to fill the combo. I want some of those Sweet AoA hits.

  15. I love how BOSS mode characters are easy to unlock. It's just disappointing that they're so simple compared to BB Unlimited Characters. You can even use them in training mode. Anyone have a comprehensive list of BOSS mode changes?
  16. EDIT: I've decided to change this to a minor gripe thread, from what before was simply a complaint about button displays. This is a thread for minor annoyances with the game that don't really ruin it, yet you want to get off your chest anyways! For example: I can't change the way commands appear in this game, can I? I'm currently playing SHO with a Blazblue style: BCD A The problem is, all the commands are listed with the standard persona format: AC BD I haven't been able to find an option to change this. It's rather annoying in Challenge Mode. Persona 4A Ultimax seems to be a bit inconvenient for custom controls. Anyone else have similar issues? Here's another complaint! Why doesn't challenge mode have input display and sounds like Blazblue Chronophantasm? Or the ability to slow down and stop demonstrations. That was incredibly useful because of the slight of hand often involved in combos thats difficult to see. Grr.
  17. Of course, they may end up putting proration on GCOD combos, similar to counter assaults. You probably can't even finish a round off it.

  19. Nobody was even playing street fighter last week. I think the week before (not counting the off week due to GUTS) I actually got a lot of BB in. It's too bad you guys didn't show up. Anyways, I'll be there tomorrow. I may not have a full setup, but I can at least bring a disk. Usually there's someone with a PS3 willing to play Air Dashers.
  20. Hm, is there invincibility with ODGC? If so, you might be able to reversal out of Amane's Level 3 Drill.
  21. I wouldn't say it's completely unrelated to gameplay. The song triggers when you OD and gives you a nice morale boost. Do you really want this topic to be strictly: "XXX's 5A is a 5 frame punch. Yep, that's going to do what 5-frame punches do!"?

  23. Hm, not sure I like the tone of that newline. But really, that flag, last I checked, looks large enough to obscure a torso. Depending on the move, it might look either akward or obstruct your view unless the cloth itself somehow had active frames. Imagine him doing an a slow, literal, overhead strike with poor recovery. It would be possible, with the right parameters, for your opponent to start moving while the flag is covering them.
  24. The flag may not unfurl because it might be too large. A flag that size would take up a lot of visual space and cover the opponent up. That could become an issue.
